Niobium telluride(NbTe_(2)),a kind of few-layer two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)material,has been theoretically predicted with nonlinear absorption properties and excellent optical ***,we experimentally demonstrated an Er-doped fiber(EDF)laser based NbTe_(2)as saturable absorber(sA).Few-layer NbTe_(2)nanosheets were successfully prepared by adopting the commonly used liquid-phase exfoliation(LPE)*** nonlinear optical response of highly stable few-layer NbTe_(2)was investigated through an open-aperture Z-scan laser measurement,the nonlinear absorption coefficient was 2.45×10^(-11)m/*** Q-switched and mode-locked operation centered at 1559 nm were recorded based on NbTe_(2)*** pulse duration was varied from 4.88 ms to 1.75 ms,and the adjustable range of repetition frequency is changed from 44.01 kHz to 64.12 kHz in passively Q-switched ***,a constant repetition rate of 5.33 MHz and pulse width of 2.67 ps were observed in mode-locked *** experimental results fully reveal the nonlinear optical prop-erties of NbTe_(2)used in pulsed fiber lasers and broaden its ultrafast applications in the optics field.

Combined impacts of bioaugmentation and vermiremediation on crude oil-contaminated soil: Mitigating strategies for prospective environmental management

This study aimed to address the remediation of crude oil-contaminated soil by employing four different factorial setups:I-used the earthworms(Eudrilus eugeniae)for vermiremediation,II–utilized the bacteria(Pseudomonas aeruginosa FA-7)for bioaugmentation,III–combined earthworms+bacteria to perform vermiremediation+bioaugmentation,and IV–served as abiotic ***,garden soil weighing 1 kg and 50 g of desiccated cow dung were introduced into the experimental groups and abiotic ***,different quantities of crude oil ranging from 5 to 20 mL were *** on the results,from 5 mL of oil-contaminated soil,the factorial setup-III removed the maximum proportion of total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH)in V+B1(58.06%).The abiotic control treatments AC1(1.11%)exhibited the lowest TPH removal *** bioremediated soil had significantly(Psicochemical properties than the initial crude oil contaminated *** instance,earthworm and microbial action resulted in considerable reductions in pH(4.72%),total organic carbon(44.03%),total nitrogen(42.42%),total phosphorus(52.17%),and total potassium(22.64%)by the end of the *** the 60th day of factorial setup-III,the bacterial population(386.470±0.432 CFU×10^(6) g^(−1)),actinomycetes(188.043±0.246 CFU×10^(8) g^(−1)),and fungi(16.603±0.202 CFU×10^(5) g^(−1))were *** germination rates of Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds were increased by 86.6%in factorial setup III(V+B1)when compared to other factorial ***,the incorporation of vermiremediation and bioaugmentation provides a distinctive platform for effective oil-contaminated soil remediation.

Evolutionary relationship and species separation of four morphologically similar stichotrichous ciliates (Protozoa,Ciliophora)

Phylogenetic and taxonomic studies on ciliate protists using molecular approaches have been demonstrated to be very reliable to form strong conclusions and results. In the present work, species separation of some morphologically similar stichotrichous ciliates, two species of Pseudokeronopsis and two species of Apokeronopsis, was reexamined using amplified ribosomal DNA restriction analysis (PCR-RFLP). Five of 10 restriction enzymes revealed species-specific polymorphic patterns, of which four similar stichotrichs could be significantly separated and identified. Among them, EcoR I offered almost no significantly different restriction fragment patterns, but the four species could be separated from one another and identified with Hae Ⅲ. Distinctly different restriction digestion haplotypes and simi-larity indices separated the species, and were used to construct a phylogeny. Phylogenies based on ITs2 nucleotide sequences and ITs2 secondary structures supported the separation of Pseudokeronopsis and Apokeronopsis using RFLP analysis, although three Pseudoker-onopsis carnea populations did not cluster together. In addition, phylogenetic analyses using multiple algorithms confirmed that these two genera formed two distinct groups within the urostylids.

Key aspects of underground hydrogen storage in depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs and saline aquifers:A review and understanding

Underground hydrogen storage is critical for renewable energy integration and *** aquifers and depleted oil and gas reservoirs represent viable large-scale hydrogen storage solutions due to their capacity and *** paper provides a comparative analysis of the current status of hydrogen storage in various ***,it assesses the geological compatibility,capacity,and security of these storage environments with minimal leakage and *** in-depth analysis was also conducted on the economic and environmental issues that impact the hydrogen *** addition,the capacity of these structures was also clarified,and it is similar to storing carbon dioxide,except for the cushion gas that is injected with hydrogen to provide pressure when withdrawing from the store to increase *** research also discusses the pros and cons of hydrogen storage in saline aquifers and depleted oil and gas *** include numerous storage sites,compatibility with existing infrastructure,and the possibility to repurpose declining oil and gas ***,it was identified that depleted gas reservoirs are better for hydrogen gas storage than depleted oil reservoirs because hydrogen gas may interact with the *** saline aquifers rank third because of uncertainty,limited capacity,construction and injection *** properties that affect the hydrogen injection process were also discussed in terms of solid,fluid,and solid-fluid *** all structures,successful implementation requires characterizing sites,monitoring and managing risks,and designing efficient storage *** findings expand hydrogen storage technology and enable a renewable energy-based energy system.

AIM:To determine whether the levator palpebrae superioris(LPs)/superior rectus(sR)muscle complex,can influence the position of the upper lid and fornix in acquired anophthalmic ***:This comparative non-randomized and non-interventional study included retrospective data of 21 patients with unilateral acquired anophthalmic sockets repaired with spheric ***-resolution computed tomography(CT)measurements of the LPM/sR muscle complex and clinical topographic position of the upper lid,superior and inferior fornix depth in primary gaze position were *** data were presented as frequency and percentage proportions and quantitative variables comparing the socket measurements with the normal contralateral orbit was statistically analyzed using non-parametric tests considering Palmic orbits had a significantly shorter LPs length(P=0.01)and significantly thicker sR(P=0.02)than the normal *** was present in anophthalmic sockets but not in normal orbits(P=0.002),while levator function was normal in both(P>0.05,all comparisons).The superior fornix depth was similar in the anophthalmic socket and the contralateral normal orbit(P=0.192)as well the inferior fornix depth(P=0.351).CONCLUsION:Acquired anophthalmic sockets repaired with spheric implants have shorter LPs,thicker sR,and more lagophthalmos than normal *** relationship of the LPs and sR with other orbital structures,associated with passive or active forces acting in the final position of the lids and external ocular prosthesis should be further investigated.
