Lactic acid bacteria(LAB)are non-mobile,gram-positive,non-spore-forming,micro-aerophilic microorganisms widely explored as starter cultures food industry to enhance the gustatory,nutritional value,imparts appetizing favour,texture to milk,vegetative,meat foods and prolongs their shelf *** vast review emphasis various LABs widely explored in the food ***,we have summarized the classifcation of LAB strains,their metabolic pathways for biosynthesis of lactic acid,ethanol,acetic acid and demonstrated their application in various food industries for making fermented milk(yoghurt),cheese,beverages,bread,and animal *** wide spectrum of LAB-based probiotics,bacteriocins,exopolysaccharides,bio preservative and their relevant benefts towards human health has also been ***,LAB bacteriocins and probiotics in food application may limit the growth of pathogenic,while boosting health *** exopolysaccharides have interesting characteristics for the fermented food industry as new functional *** on,we have discussed the various advancement in metabolic engineering,synthetic biology tools,which have gained considerable interest to elucidate the biosynthetic pathway for tailoring cellular metabolism for high activity.

Algal biomass has significant advantages over terrestrial plants in terms of CO2 sequestration,biomass productivity,waste-water treatment along with multiple biobased products *** versatility and high carbohydrate content of microalgal biomass act as a potential alternative feedstock to fossil resources and contribute towards the biobased economy *** biomass utilization would play a key role to establish sustainable bioprocess development and technology translation to the industrial *** this framework,the present review discusses the renewable resource potential of algal biomass and its complete utilization for multiple biobased products synthesis in a closed-loop biorefinery *** methods are discussed to obtain high biomass growth and pretreatments to obtain the maximum sugars ***,combined bioprocesses were discussed for the production of biohydrogen,biomethane,bioethanol,short-chain fatty acids(SCFA),medium-chain fatty acids(MCFA),and biopolymers in a closed-loop approach.

Historical temporal variation in precipitation over Western Himalayan Region：1857-2006

This study has examined the temporal variation in monthly, seasonal & annual precipitation over the Western Himalayan Region(WHR) and the influence of global teleconnections, like the North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO) and Southern Oscillation(SO) Indices on seasonal & annual precipitation. The Mann–Kendall non-parametric test is applied for trend detection and the Pettitt–Mann–Whitney test is used to detect possible shift. Maximum entropy spectral analysis is applied to find the periodicity in annual & seasonal precipitation. The study shows a non-significant decreasing trend in annual precipitation over WHR for the period 1857-2006. However, in seasonal precipitation, a significant decreasing trend is observed in monsoon and a significant increasing trend in post-monsoon season during the same period. The significant decrease in monsoon precipitation may be due to weakening of its teleconnection with NAO as well as SO Indices mainly during last three decades. It is observed that the probable change of year in annual & monsoon precipitation over WHR is 1979. The study also shows significant periodicities of 2.3-2.9 years and of 3.9-4.7 years in annual & seasonal precipitation over WHR.

The Nakora Ring Complex(NRC)(732 Ma) occurs as a part of Malani Igneous Suite(MIS) in the West-ern Rajasthan,*** complex consists of three phases(volcanic,plutonic and dyke).Geochemically,the Na-kora granites are peralkaline,metaluminous and slightly *** display geochemical characteristics of A-type granites and distinct variation trends with increasing silica *** peralkaline granites show higher concentrations of SiO2,total alkalies,TiO2,MgO,Ni,Rb,Sr,Y,Zr,Th,U,La,Ce,Nd,Eu and Yb and lower concen-trations of Al2O3,total iron,Cu and Zn than metaluminous *** content is ≥1 for peralkaline granites and <1 for peraluminous and metaluminous *** peralkaline granites are plotted between 4 to 7 kb in pressure and are emplaced at greater depths(16-28 km and 480-840℃) as compared to metaluminous granites which indicate the high fluorine content in peralkaline *** primitive mantle normalized multi-element profiles suggest that Nakora granites(peralkaline,metaluminous and peraluminous) are characterized by low La,Sr and Eu and relatively less minima of Ba,Nb and Ti which suggests the aspects related to crustal origin for Nakora *** Nakora granites are characterized as A-type granites(Whalen et al.,1987) and correspond to the field of "Within Plate Gran-ite"(Pearce et al.,1984).Geochemical,field and petrological data suggest that Nakora granites are the product of partial melting of rocks similar to Banded Gneiss from Kolar Schist Belt of India.

More than 1 300 species of the vast genus Acacia are found in tropical habitats. They are crucial economic plants since they produce traditional medicines, timber, and gum. The pharmacological uses of the Acacia genus include anti-diarrheal, anti-malarial, chronic pain relief, wound healing, anti-cancer, anti-rheumatism, and antidiabetes activities. It is also used for treating various illnesses such as gastroenteritis, allergies, Alzheimer’s disease, cough, and cardiovascular disease. The present review aims to summarize the antimicrobial activities including the antibacterial and antifungal activity of the Acacia genus. The literature was searched in books and online databases including SciFinder, Google Scholar, Scopus, Pub Med, and scientific journals using the most relevant keywords: Acacia+antimicrobial, Acacia+antibacterial, and Acacia+antifungal.

Contamination of agricultural soils by heavy metals has become a major concern due to their toxic effects on plant growth,symbiosis and consequently the yields of crops. In the present study, to enhance plant growth in Cr（VI）-amended soils, novel metalresistant plant growth-promoting bacteria（PGPB） were isolated from a soil contaminated with industrial waste effluent. One of the bacterial isolates, identified as Enterobacter sp. C1 D by 16 S r RNA gene sequencing, was found to be multi-metal resistant in nature with excellent plant growth-promoting（PGP） traits. Mung bean（Vigna radiata var. GM4） inoculation with Enterobacter sp.C1 D significantly（P ＆lt; 0.01） increased root and shoot length, shoot and root weight, and chlorophyll content in a range of Cr（VI）treatments. Plant tolerance towards Cr（VI） measured as effective concentration showed higher values with Enterobacter sp. C1 Dtreated plants compared to un-inoculated plants. Root colonization study was also carried out using green fluorescence protein-labeled Enterobacter sp. C1 D under a hydroponic system. Confocal laser scanning microscopy of the plant roots showed heavy bacterial loads on the surface of the plant root specifically at the root tip and the point of root hair/lateral root formation. The results of PGP traits showed that elevated indole acetic acid levels and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase activity enabled Enterobacter sp. C1 D to enhance V. radiata growth in Cr（VI）-amended soils, whereby it significantly increased plant tolerance towards elevated Cr（VI） concentrations.
