The objective of this investigation is to assess the effect of obstacles on numerical heat transfer and fluid flow momentum in a rectangular microchannel(mC).Two distinct configurations were studied:one without obstacles and the other with alternating obstacles placed on the upper and lower *** research utilized the thermal lattice Boltzmann method(LBm),which solves the energy and momentum equations of fluids with the BGK approximation,implemented in a Python coding *** jump and slip velocity conditions were utilized in the simulation for the mC and extended to all obstacle *** study aims to analyze the rarefaction effect,with Knudsen numbers(Kn)of 0.012,0.02,and *** outcomes indicate that rarefaction has a significant impact on the velocity and temperature *** presence of nine obstacles led to slower fluid movement inside the microchannel mC,resulting in faster cooling at the *** mCs with obstacles,the rarefaction effect plays a crucial role in decreasing the nusselt number(nu)and skin friction coefficient(Cf).Furthermore,the study demonstrated that the obstacles played a crucial role in boosting fluid flow and heat transfer in the *** findings suggest that the examined configurations could have potential applications as cooling technologies in micro-electro-mechanical systems and microdevice applications.

Environmental refugees are one of the most burning issues at this time throughout the world. Bangladesh, a riverine country, is suffering from acquit riverbank erosion which compels millions of her population to be displaced from their place of origin. As such, 283 locations, 85 towns and growth centers, along with 2400 kilometers of riverbank line in Bangladesh are vulnerable to erosion. The major rivers e.g., the Padma, the Jamuna, and the meghna, erode several thousand hectares of floodplain making thousands of people landless and homeless every year. Along with the floodplain, Bangladesh loses several kilometers of roads, railways, and flood-control embankments annually. no other disaster is as disastrous as riverbank erosion and 'Internally Displaced Populations' (IDP) face many unavoidable problems at different stages of displacement. Displacement marginalized them in respect of livelihood patterns and psycho-physical troubles. Such forty million homeless people in Bangladesh are compelled to lead a floating life. Riverbank erosion plays a major role in socio-environmental changes. The displaced people of riverbank erosion experience substantial socio-economic impoverishment and marginalization as a consequence of involuntary displacement from their original residence. Findings of a social survey carried out in 2008 on the erosion-hit displaced people in Chapai nawabganj and Rajshahi districts are discussed in this paper. newly settled people along with the native inhabitants have been interviewed to reveal the problems associated with making rearrangements for the displaced people. Besides these problems of displacement, adaptation strategies and relationships with the local people, their socio-economic losses, sufferings, perception of natural disaster and psycho-physical problems, environmental ruins etc. have been revealed in this paper. Structural, electronic, and optical properties of alloys Bexmgl-xX （X = S, Se, Te） in the assortment 0 〈 x 〈 1 were theoretically reported for the first time in zinc-blende （ZB） phase. The calculations were carried out by using full-potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbitals （FP-LAPW＋lo） formalism contained by the framework of density functional theory （DFT）. Wu--Cohen （WC） generalized gradient approximation （GGA）, based on optimization energy, has been applied to calculate these theoretical results. In addition, we used Becke and Johnson （mBJ-GGA） potential, modified form of GGA functional, to calculate electronic structural properties up to a high precision degree. The alloys were composed with the concentrations x = 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75 in pursuance of ＇special quasi-random structures＇（SQS） approach of Zunger for the restoration of disorder around the observed site of alloys in the first few shells. The structural parameters have been predicted by minimizing the total energy in correspondence of unit cell volume. Our alloys established direct band gap at different concentrations that make their importance in optically active materials. Furthermore, density of states was discussed in terms of the contribution of Be and mg s and chalcogen （S, Se, and Te） s and p states and observed charge density helped us to investigate the bonding nature. By taking into consideration of immense importance in optoelectronics of these materials, the complex dielectric function was calculated for incident photon energy in the range 0--15 eV.

The structural, electronic, and optical properties of binary ZnO, ZnSe compounds, and their ternary ZnOl_xSex alloys are computed using the accurate full potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbital （FP-LAPW ＋ lo） method in the rocksalt （B 1） and zincblende （B3） crystallographic phases. The electronic band structures, fundamental energy band gaps, and densities of states for ZnO1_xSex are evaluated in the range 0 〈 x 〈 1 using Wu-Cohen （WC） generalized gradient approximation （GGA） for the exchange-correlation potential. Our calculated results of lattice parameters and bulk modulus reveal a nonlinear variation for pseudo-binary and their ternary alloys in both phases and show a considerable deviation from Vegard＇s law. It is observed that the predicted lattice parameter and bulk modulus are in good agreement with the available experimental and theoretical data. We establish that the composition dependence of band gap is semi-metallic in B1 phase, while a direct band gap is observed in B3 phase. The calculated density of states is described by taking into account the contribution of Zn 3d, O 2p, and Se 4s, and the optical properties are studied in terms of dielectric functions, refractive index, reflectivity, and energy loss function for the B3 phase and are compared with the available experimental data.

Thin films of five vanadium compounds/composite：（1） VO2（3-fl）（3-fl = 3-Hydroxyflavone）, （2） VO（pbd）：（pbd = 1-Phenyl-l, 3-butadione）, （3） VO（dbm）2 （dbm = Dibenzoylmethane）, （4） VPc （Vanadyl Phthalocyanine） and （5） V2O5-PEPC （V2O5- poly-n-epoxypropylcarbazole composite）, were deposited by the dropcasting method from the solution in benzene. The transmittance-irradiance relationships were investigated and the transmission in the visible spectrum and optical images were obtained as well. It was found that the transmittance of the VO2（3-fl）, VO（pbd）2, VO（dbm）2 and VPc, was practically independent of the irradiance; whereas the transmittance of V2O5-PEPC decreased by 4% for thin and 9% for thick films with an increase of the irradiance.

The kinetic study of in-situ eopolymerization of aniline with o- and p-methylaniline by ammonium persulfate （APS） has been carried out. UV-vis spectroscopic method was used to investigate the course of copolymerization. Structural characterization was studied by PT-IR spectral analysis. The electronic spectra of the copolymers poly（aniline-co-p-toluidine） and poly（aniline-co-o- toluidine） show blue shift. The shift has been observed in the bands corresponding to π→π^＊ transition as well as in the exciton transition. The increase in absorbance recorded during the reaction for different concentration of aniline, o- and p-toluidine at various intervals of time of polymerization reaction indicates a growth in the polymer formation. The resulting first-order rate constant was used to calculate the rate of copolymer formation using the rate equation -d[A]/dt = kc^n.

In cognitive radio networks(CoR),the performance of cooperative spectrum sensing is improved by reducing the overall error rate or maximizing the detection *** optimization methods are usually used to optimize the number of user-chosen for cooperation and the threshold ***,these methods do not take into account the effect of sample size and its effect on improving CoR *** general,a large sample size results in more reliable detection,but takes longer sensing time and increases ***,the locally sensed sample size is an optimization ***,optimizing the local sample size for each cognitive user helps to improve CoR *** this study,two new methods are proposed to find the optimum sample size to achieve objective-based improved(single/double)threshold energy detection,these methods are the optimum sample size n^(*)and neural networks(nn)*** the evaluation,it was found that the proposed methods outperform the traditional sample size selection in terms of the total error rate,detection probability,and throughput.
