The Equilibrium Optimizer(EO),Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO),and Whale Optimizer(WO)algorithms are being recently developed for engineering optimization *** this paper,the EO,GWO,and WO algorithms are applied individually for a brushless direct current(BLDC)design optimization *** EO algorithm is inspired by the models utilized to find the system’s dynamic state and equilibrium *** GWO and WO algorithms are inspired by the hunting behavior of the wolf and the whale,*** primary purpose of any optimization technique is to find the optimal configuration by maximizing motor efficiency and/or minimizing the total ***,two objective functions are being used to achieve these *** first refers to a design with high power output and *** second is a constraint imposed by the reality that the motor is built into the wheel of the vehicle and,therefore,a lightweight is *** EO,GWO,and WOA algorithms are then utilized to optimize the BLDC motor’s design variables to minimize the motor’s total mass or maximize the motor efficiency by simultaneously satisfying the six inequality *** simulation is carried out using mATLAB simulation software,and the simulation results prove the dominance of the proposed *** paper also suggests an efficient method from the proposed three methods for the BLDC motor design optimization problem.

The first step in the design phase of the Brushless Direct Current(BLDC)motor is the formulation of the mathematical framework and is often used due to its analytical ***,the BLDC motor design problem is considered to be an optimization *** this paper,the analytical model of the BLDC motor is presented,and it is considered to be a basis for emphasizing the optimization *** analytical model used for the experimentation has 78 non-linear equations,two objective functions,five design variables,and six non-linear constraints,so the BLDC motor design problem is considered as highly non-linear in electromagnetic ***-objective optimization becomes the forefront of the current research to obtain the global best solution using metaheuristic *** bio-inspired multi-objective grey wolf optimizer(mOGWO)is presented in this paper,and it is formulated based on Pareto optimality,dominance,and archiving *** performance of themOGWO is verified on standard multi-objective unconstraint benchmark functions and applied to the BLDC motor design *** results proved that the proposedmOGWO algorithm could handle nonlinear constraints in electromagnetic optimization *** performance comparison in terms of Generational Distance,inversion GD,Hypervolume-matrix,scattered-matrix,and coverage metrics proves that the mOGWO algorithm can provide the best solution compared to other selected *** source code of this paper is backed up with extra online support at https://***/mysite and https://***/matlabcentral/fileexchange/75259-multiobjective-non-sorted-grey-wolf-mogwo-nsgwo.

A simple and novel synthetic route to prepare anatase TiO2 nanopowders from natural ilmenite via the H3PO4/NH3 process

A simple and novel technique for the preparation of anatase TiO2 nanopowders using natural ilmenite(FeTiO3)as the starting material is *** ilmenite with concentrated H3PO4 under refluxing conditions yields a whiteα-titanium bismonohydrogen orthophosphate monohydrate(TOP),Ti(HPO4)2·H2O,which can be easily isolated via gravity separation from unreacted *** addition of ammonia to the separated TOP followed by calcination at 500°C completes the preparation of anatase *** at temperatures above 800°C converts the anatase form of TiO2 to the stable rutile *** removal of iron from ilmenite during the commercial production of synthetic TiO2 is problematic and environmentally *** the present study,the removal of iron was found to be markedly simple due to the high solubility of iron phosphate species in concentrated H3PO4 with the precipitation of *** titanium content of the prepared samples on metal basis with silica and phosphorous as major impurities was over 90%.Prepared TiO2 samples were characterized using X-ray fluorescence,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray diffraction *** photocatalytic potentials of the commercial and as-prepared TiO2 samples were assessed by the photodegradation of rhodamine B dye.

Luminescence properties of near-UV excitable yellow-orange light emitting warm CaSrAl_2SiO_7:Sm^(3+) phosphors

Single-phase CaSrAl_2 SiO_7:Sm^(3+) phosphors were synthesized by traditional high temperature solid state reaction method. Formation of samples and phase analysis were confirmed by X-ray diffraction technique. morphology was done by field emission scanning electron microscopy and elemental compositions were confirmed by energy dispersive X-ray analysis. Present phosphors have tetragonal crystallography with space group P42_1 m. Average crystallite size was calculated by using Scherrer and Williamson-Hall method. Photoluminescence study of CaSrAl_2 SiO_7:Sm^(3+) phosphor was *** different excitation wavelengths, PL spectra consist of four emission bands at 564, 570, 601 and650 nm. The emission bands located at 564 and 570 nm are associated with the transition ~4 G_(5/2)→~6 H_(5/2)while emission bands at 601 and 650 nm are due to ~4 G_(5/2)→~6 H_(7/2) and ~4 G_(5/2)→~6 H_(9/2),*** emission was obtained when phosphor was excited under 404 nm wavelength. Non-radiative energy transfer process involved in concentration quenching, was also discussed. CIE coordinate is found in yellow-orange region, hence CaSrAl_2SiO_7:Sm^(3+) phosphors emit yellow-orange light when efficiently excited by near UV(～400 nm) LED chip. Color purity and CCT of the phosphor were determined; CCT suggests that present phosphor is a good candidate as a warm yellow-orange color emitting phosphor. Effect of different heating rates and different UV exposure time on the TL glow curve of the phosphor was investigated. Activation energies and kinetic parameters for different traps were calculated by using peak shape method. TL emission spectrum was also recorded. Present article explains all the possible mechanisms associated with luminescence process in CaSrAl_2 SiO_7:Sm^(3+) phosphors.

mobile ad hoc networks (mANETs) are subjected to attack detectionfor transmitting and creating new messages or existing message *** attacker on another node evaluates the forging activity in themessage directly or indirectly. Every node sends short packets in a mANETenvironment with its identifier, location on the map, and time through *** attackers on the network broadcast the warning message usingfaked coordinates, providing the appearance of a network collision. Similarly,mANET degrades the channel utilization performance. Performancehighly affects network performance through security algorithms. This paperdeveloped a trust management technique called Enhanced Beacon Trustmanagement with Hybrid Optimization (EBTm-Hyopt) for efficient clusterhead selection and malicious node detection. It tries to build trust amongconnected nodes and may improve security by requiring every participatingnode to develop and distribute genuine, accurate, and trustworthy materialacross the network. Specifically, optimized cluster head election is done periodicallyto reduce and balance the energy consumption to improve the lifetimenetwork. The cluster head election optimization is based on hybridizingParticle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Gravitational Search OptimizationAlgorithm (GSOA) concepts to enable and ensure reliable routing. Simulationresults show that the proposed EBTm-HYOPT outperforms the state-of-thearttrust model in terms of 297.99 kbps of throughput, 46.34% of PDR, 13%of energy consumption, 165.6 kbps of packet loss, 67.49% of end-to-end delay,and 16.34% of packet length.

Pancreas preserving distal duodenectomy: A versatile operation for a range of infra-papillary pathologies

To investigate the range of pathologies treated by pancreas preserving distal duodenectomy (PPDD) and present the outcome of *** lesions of the duodenum are treated conventionally by pancreaticoduodenectomy. Lesions distal to the major papilla may be suitable for a pancreas-preserving distal duodenectomy, potentially reducing morbidity and mortality. We present our experience with this procedure. Selective intraoperative duodenoscopy assessed the relationship of the papilla to the lesion. After duodenal mobilisation and confirmation of the site of the lesion, the duodenum was transected distal to the papilla and beyond the duodenojejunal flexure and a side-to-side duodeno-jejunal anastomosis was formed. Patients were identified from a prospectively maintained database and outcomes determined from digital health records with a dataset including demographics, co-morbidities, mode of presentation, preoperative imaging and assessment, nutritional support needs, technical operative details, blood transfusion requirements, length of stay, pathology including lymph node yield and lymph node involvement, length of follow-up, complications and outcomes. Related published literature was also ***-four patients had surgery with the intent of performing PPDD from 2003 to 2016. Nineteen underwent PPDD successfully. Two patients planned for PPDD proceeded to formal pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) while three had unresectable disease. median post-operative follow-up was 32 mo. Pathologies resected included duodenal adenocarcinoma (n = 6), adenomas (n = 5), gastrointestinal stromal tumours (n = 4) and lipoma, bleeding duodenal diverticulum, locally advanced colonic adenocarcinoma and extrinsic compression (n = 1 each). median postoperative length of stay (LOS) was 8 d and morbidity was low [pain and nausea/vomiting (n = 2), anastomotic stricture (n = 1), pneumonia (n = 1), and overwhelming post-splenectomy sepsis (n = 1, asplenic patient)]. Optimization is a key technique for maximizing or minimizing functions and achieving optimal cost,gains,energy,mass,and so *** order to solve optimization problems,metaheuristic algorithms are *** of these techniques are influenced by collective knowledge and natural *** is no such thing as the best or worst algorithm;instead,there are more effective algorithms for certain ***,in this paper,a new improved variant of a recently proposed metaphorless Runge-Kutta Optimization(RKO)algorithm,called Improved Runge-Kutta Optimization(IRKO)algorithm,is suggested for solving optimization *** IRKO is formulated using the basic RKO and local escaping operator to enhance the diversification and intensification capability of the basic RKO *** performance of the proposed IRKO algorithm is validated on 23 standard benchmark functions and three engineering constrained optimization *** outcomes of IRKO are compared with seven state-of-the-art algorithms,including the basic RKO *** to other algorithms,the recommended IRKO algorithm is superior in discovering the optimal results for all selected optimization *** runtime of IRKO is less than 0.5 s for most of the 23 benchmark problems and stands first for most of the selected problems,including real-world optimization problems.
