Possible therapeutic targets and promising drugs based on unsymmetrical hetaryl-substituted porphyrins to combat SARS-CoV-2

Coronavirus disease 2019 is a serious disease that causes acute respiratory syndrome and negatively affects the central nervous *** acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)crosses the blood-brain barrier due to the spike(S) protein on the surface of the viral ***,it is important to develop compounds that not only have an inhibitory effect but are also capable of completely deactivating the S protein *** study describes the purposeful modification of porphyrins and proposes compounds,asymmetrically hetaryl-substituted porphyrins with benzothiazole,benzoxazole,and N-methylbenzimidazole residues,to deactivate the S protein *** docking of SARS-CoV-2 proteins with hetaryl-substituted porphyrins showed that the viral S protein,nucleocapsid(N) protein,and non-structural protein 13(nsp13) exhibited the highest binding ***-substituted porphyrins form strong complexes(13-14 kcal/mol) with the receptor-binding domain of the S protein,while the distance from the porphyrins to the receptor-binding motif(RBM)does not exceed 20 ?;therefore,RBM can be oxidized by ^(1)O_(2),which is generated by *** porphyrins interact with the N protein in the serine/arginine-rich region,and a number of vulnerable amino acid residues are located in the photooxidation *** damage complicates the packaging of viral RNA into new ***-energy binding of hetaryl-substituted porphyrins with the N-and C-terminal domains of nsp13 was *** binding blocks the action of nsp13 as an enzyme of exoribonuclease and methyltransferase,thereby preventing RNA replication and processing.A procedure for the synthesis of hetaryl-substituted porphyrins was developed,new compounds were obtained,their structures were identified,and their photocatalytic properties were studied.

The ECR ion source DECRIS-4 has been designed and constructed at the FLNR JINR to be used as a second injector of heavy multiply charged ions for the U-400 *** design of the magnetic structure of the source was based on the idea of the so-called"magnetic plateau".The axial magnetic field is formed by three independent solenoids enclosed in separated iron *** a result the superposition of the coils and hexapole magnetic fields creates the enlarged resonance *** first experiments showed that the source was able to produce more than 300eμA of Ar8+ when only 100W of microwave power was used. During the last experiment almost 500eμA of Ar8+ was extracted with the same *** this paper we will present the preliminary results with other gaseous ions,such as oxygen,krypton and xenon.

Changes in the growth of Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)stands in an urban environment in European Russia since 1862

A century and a half ago,in the European part of Russia(Moscow),forest scientists established the first long-term observations of forests,many of which are under observation to the present *** the twentieth century,climate changes and,due to industrial development,forest areas were under air *** on observations from 157 sites,this study shows that the growth and density of Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)have decreased by the end of the twentieth *** environment has changed,and the growth and development of plantations has *** yields(-34%stand volume)and their life expectancy(on average 50 years)have *** changes are critical for forestry and for the management of forests in urban *** to the decline in growth,ecosystem functions by urban forests has *** order to increase the sustainability of urban forests and the provision of ecosystem services,it is preferable to create multi-species stands with a complex structure.

Low-frequency laboratory measurements of the elastic properties of solids using a distributed acoustic sensing system

In recent decades,low-frequency(LF)experiments based on the forced-oscillation(FO)method have become common practice in many rock physics laboratories for measuring the elastic and anelastic properties of ***,the use of the electronic displacement sensors in traditional acquisition systems of FO devices such as conventional capacitive transducers or strain gauges seriously limits both the efficiency and productivity of LF measurements,and,due to the limited contact area of the displacement sensors with a sample under test,increases the requirements for sample *** this paper,we present the first results obtained in the development of a new laboratory method elaborated to measure the elastic properties of *** method is a further development of the FO method where traditional data acquisition is replaced by acquisition based on fiber-optic distributed acoustic sensing(DAS)*** new method was tested in a laboratory study using two FO setups designed for measurements under uniaxial and confining *** study was carried out on a sample made from polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)and an aluminium standard,first under uniaxial pressure at FO frequencies of 1,10,30,60 and 100 Hz,and then under confining pressure at an FO frequency of 1 *** uniaxial and confining pressures were equal to 10 MPa,and the strain in the PMMA sample in all measurements did not exceed 4×10^(-8).The performance of DAS acquisition was compared with the measurements conducted at a strain of 1×10^(-6) using the traditional FO method based on the use of semiconductor strain gauges and the ultrasonic *** results of the DAS measurements are in good agreement with the FO measurements carried out using semiconductor strain gauges and with the literature data.

We read with interest the article by Olechowski, et al. recently published in the Journal of Geriatric Cardiology. The results of this retrospective analysis of patients undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) device implantation are in line with previous reports, suggesting that resynchronization therapy in the elderly is feasible and may lead to significant improvement of cardiac function and clinical status.

Fast Z-pinches,plasma implosions driven by MA-level∼100-ns duration current pulses,are an active research area with applications to a broad range of High Energy Density Physics studies,including investigations of properties of materials at extreme pressures,1 opacities of various plasmas at conditions found in stellar interiors,2 and scaled modelling of astrophysical magnetohydrodynamics.3 The ability of fast Z-pinches to generate extremely bright pulses of X-ray radiation is of significant interest for Inertial Confinement Fusion(ICF)*** highest X-ray powers and yields are achieved using wire-array Z-pinch loads,which are capable of generating 2-MJ,250-TW,<10-ns X-ray pulses at the largest currently operating pulsed power facility,the 25-MA Z machine at Sandia National Laboratories(New Mexico,USA).

Differential diagnosis of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) is of paramount importance for appropriate patient management. Several diagnostic algorithms for discrimination of VT and SVT based on surface electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis have been proposed. Following established diagnosis of VT,a specific origination tachycardia site can be supposed according to QRS complex characteristics. This review aims to cover comprehensive and comparative description of the main VT diagnostic algorithms and to present ECG characteristics which permit to suggest the most common VT origination sites.

Use of nanoscale metals in poultry diet as a mineral feed additive

The research was aimed at studying the efficiency of a nanoscale alloy of copper(Cu) and zinc(Zn) to be used as a mineral additive for feeding broiler chickens,compared to inorganic and organic forms of these *** studies of the blood serum were performed using an automated *** mineral composition was determined by atomic emission and mass spectrometry(MS-ISP),The study was performed on broiler chickens of cross Smena 7(n=72) in the conditions of a *** were3 treatment groups with 24 chickens in *** the inorganic form of mineral supplements with the nanosized alloy resulted in a positive productive effect,with a tendency to increasing the content of serum *** nano scale form of metals improved(P <0.05) the activity of *** the same time,the liver micro structure of experimental groups is similar to that of the *** was a moderate plethora and poor polymorphoncellular infiltration around the interlobular triads with a clear morphological orga nization of the stromal and parenchymal co mponents of the ***,the lack of oxidative stress was confirmed by the dynamics of catalase(CT),total superoxide dismutase(TSOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA) levels,and the concentrations of which did not exceed the reference level Replacing Cu and Zn sulfates with the nanoscale alloy(group 1) and organic form(group 2) of these elements in the diet of broiler chickens was accompanied by the increasing pool of these elements in the organisms at the end of the *** was accumulated throughout the experiment in experimental group 1,compared to the reference,with the maximum difference in the liver of 36.5%(P ≤ 0.05),in the feathers 2.5 times(P ≤ 0.01).Assessment of the Zn level dynamics in the feathers revealed a well noticeable tendency to reducing its concentrations during the experiment in all *** the background of feeding a nanoscale alloy,Zn concentration in the liver exceeded th

Analysis of sea level changes in the Caspian Sea related to Cosmo-geophysical processes based on satellite and terrestrial data

Analysis results of the average annual sea levels in the Caspian Sea obtained from ground and satellite observations, corresponding to solar activity characteristics, magnetic field data, and length of day are presented. Spectra of the indicated processes were investigated and their approximation models were also built. Previously assumed statistical relationships between space-geophysical processes and Caspian Sea level(CSL) changes were confirmed. A close connection was revealed between the low-frequency models of the solar and geomagnetic activity parameters and the CSL changes. Predictions extending into the next decades showed a high probability of an increase in the CSL and a decrease of the compared space-geophysical parameters.
