Perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have developed rapidly,positioning them as potential candidates for nextgeneration renewable energy ***,conventional trial-and-error approaches and the vast compositional parameter space continue to pose challenges in the pursuit of exceptional performance and high stability of perovskite-based *** increasing demand for novel materials in optoelectronic devices and establishment of substantial databases has enabled data-driven machinelearning(ML) approaches to swiftly advance in the materials *** review succinctly outlines the fundamental ML procedures,techniques,and recent breakthroughs,particularly in predicting the physical characteristics of perovskite ***,it highlights research endeavors aimed at optimizing and screening materials to enhance the efficiency and stability of ***,this review highlights recent efforts in using characterization data for ML,exploring their correlations with material properties and device performance,which are actively being researched,but they have yet to receive significant ***,we provide future perspectives,such as leveraging Large Language Models(LLMs) and text-mining,to expedite the discovery of novel perovskite materials and expand their utilization across various optoelectronic fields.

Defective phononic crystals (PnCs) have enabled spatial localization and quantitative amplification of elastic wave energy. Most previous research has focused on applications such as narrow-bandpass filters, ultrasonic sensors, and piezoelectric energy harvesters, typically operating under the assumption of an external elastic wave incidence. Recently, a novel approach that uses defective PnCs as ultrasonic actuators to generate amplified waves has emerged. However, the existing studies are limited to the generation of either longitudinal or bending waves, with no research addressing the concurrent generation of both. Hence, this paper proposes a straightforward methodology for the concurrent generation and amplification of both wave types utilizing defect modes at independent defect-band frequencies. Bimorph piezoelectric elements are attached to the defect, with each element connected to independent external voltage sources. By precisely adjusting the magnitude and temporal phase differences between the voltage sources, concurrently amplified wave generation is achieved. The paper highlights the advantages of the proposed analytical model. This model is both computationally timeefficient and accurate, in comparison with the COMSOL simulation results. For instance,in case studies, the analytical model reduces the computational time from one hour to mere seconds, while maintaining acceptable error rates of 1%in peak frequencies. This concurrent wave-generation methodology opens new avenues for applications in rotating machinery fault diagnosis, structural health monitoring, and medical imaging.

Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly focused on cellulose and hemicellulose restricts the economic and environmental feasibilities. To cope with this issue, we proposed an integrated process of co-producing 1,6-hexanediol(1,6-HDO) with tetrahydrofuran and adipic acid from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To compare the impacts of lignin upgrading and feedstock, Strategy B, which co-produces tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy C, which is the traditional route to produce 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat networks are also designed to reduce operating costs and indirect carbon emissions due to energy consumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and cooling requirements, respectively, in Strategy A. The market competitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling price through techno-economic analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impacts through both midpoint and endpoint life-cycle assessments(LCAs).Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both economically(USRDSCHARDOLLAR3,402/ton) and environmentally(-26.9 kg CO_(2)eq.). This indicates that lignin valorization is not only economically but also environmentally preferred. Finally, changes in economic and environmental feasibilities depending on economic, process, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based chemical production.

In light of the increasing recognition of the necessity to evaluate and mitigate the environmental impact of human activities, the aim of this study is to assess the greenhouse gases emitted in 2022 by the Kossodo thermal power plant as a consequence of its electricity production. The specific objective was to identify the emission sources and quantify the gases generated, with the purpose of proposing effective solutions for reducing the plant’s ecological footprint. In order to achieve the objectives set out in the study, the Bilan Carbone® method was employed. Following an analysis of the plant’s activities, seven emission items were identified as requiring further investigation. The data was gathered from the plant’s activity reports, along with measurements and questionnaires distributed to employees. The data collected was subjected to processing in order to produce the sought activity data. The Bilan Carbone® V7.1 spreadsheet was employed to convert the activity data into equivalent quantities of CO2. The full assessment indicates that the majority of the power plant’s emissions come from the combustion of HFO and DDO, accounting for 96.11% of the Kossodo power plant’s total GHG emissions in 2022. The plant produced 280,585,676 kilowatt-hours (kWh), resulting in emissions of 218,492.785 ± 10,924.639 tCO2e, which yielded an emission factor of 0.78 kgCO2e/kWh for the year 2022. In order to reduce this rate, recommendations for improved energy efficiency have been issued to management and all staff.

Occasional Tillage in a Field Established under Conservation Agriculture for Tomato Cropping

The Conservation Agriculture (CA) is a current concept drives to save natural resources for agricultural production based on the minimum soil disturbance or no-tillage, crop rotation and permanent maintenance of straw on soil surface. The increasing in soil density is a problem to achieve great copping yield under CA, so occasional one-time tillage is considered as an alternative to continuous no-tillage. In this way, this experiment was carried out to compare occasional tillage and no-tillage interacting with cover crops in a field established under conservation agriculture. Thus, the experimental treatments were set up by two tillage methods, conventional tillage and no-tillage and two cover crops, white lupin and millet setting in a randomized blocks with split plot design with four replications. The traits evaluated in the research were soil fertility, soil resistance to penetration, soil moisture and tomato agronomic performance. No-tillage was more efficient to preserve soil moisture;however soil fertility, soil resistance to penetration and tomato yield were favored by conventional tillage. Regarding to cover crops white lupin increased the soil K concentration and enhanced the tomato growth. Although occasional tillage had better performance to the soil fertility and tomato yield, we highlighted that CA is the better way to increase soil health and soil and water conservation along the time leading to so desired regenerative agriculture.

Undifferentiated carcinoma of the pancreas with osteoclast-like giant cells(OGCs)is very rare,less than1%of all pancreatic malignancies,and shows worse prognosis than that of invasive ductal adenocarcinoma of the *** present a case of en bloc resection for a huge undifferentiated carcinoma with OGCs that invaded the stomach and transverse mesocolon.A 67-year female was admitted for left upper quadrant pain and computed tomography demonstrated a mass occupying the lesser sac and abutting the stomach and *** were no distant metastases and the patient underwent subtotal pancreatectomy with splenectomy,total gastrectomy,and segmental resection of the transverse *** examination confirmed an 11 cm-sized undifferentiated carcinoma of the pancreas with *** staining revealed reactivity with pan-cytokeratin in adenocarcinoma component,with vimentin in neoplastic multinucleated cells,with CD45/CD68 in OGCs,and with p53 in tumor cells,*** patient had suffered from multiple bone metastases and survived9 mo after *** case supports the ductal epithelial origin of undifferentiated carcinoma with OGCs and early diagnosis could result in favorable surgical *** on the surgical role and prog-nostic factors need to be warranted in this tumor.
