Background:pancreatic solid pseudopapillary tumors(SpTs)are rare clinical entity,with low malignancy and still unclear *** account for less than 2%of exocrine pancreatic *** study aimed to perform a systematic review of the main clinical,surgical and oncological characteristics of pancreatic *** sources:MEDLINE/pubMed,Web of Science and Scopus databases were systematically searched for the main clinical,surgical and oncological characteristics of pancreatic SpTs up to April 2021,in accordance with the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses(pRISMA)*** endpoints were to analyze treatments and oncological ***:A total of 823 studies were recorded,86 studies underwent full-text reviews and 28 met inclusion ***,1384 patients underwent pancreatic *** age was 30 years and 1181 patients(85.3%)were *** most common clinical presentation was non-specific abdominal pain(52.6%of cases).Mean overall survival was 98.1%.Mean recurrence rate was 2.8%.Mean follow-up was 4.2 ***:pancreatic SpTs are rare,and predominantly affect young women with unclear *** resection is the gold standard of treatment achieving good oncological impact and a favorable prognosis in a yearly life-long follow-up.

predator-induced changes of male and female mating preferences: innate and learned components

While many mati ng pref ere nces have a genetic basis, the question remai ns as to whether and how learning/experience can modify individual mate choice decisions. We used wild-caught (predator-experienced) and Fi laboratory-reared (predator-naive) invasive Western mosquitofish Gambusia affinis from China to test whether mating preferences (assessed in a first mate choice test) would change under immediate predation threat. The same individuals were tested in a second mate choice test during which 1 of 3 types of animated predators was presented: 1) a co-occurring predator, 2) a co-evolved but not currently co-occurring predator, and 3) a non-piscivorous species as control. We compared preference scores derived from both mate choice tests to separate innate from experiential effects of predation. We also asked whether predator-induced changes in mating preferences would differ betwee n sexes or depend on the choosing individual's personality type and/or body size. Wild-caught fish altered their mate choice decisions most when exposed to the co-occurring predator whereas laboratory-reared individuals responded most to the co-evolved predator, suggesting that both innate mechanisms and learning effects are involved. This behavior likely reduces individuals' risk of falling victim to predation by temporarily moving away from high-quality (i.e., conspicuous) mating partners. Accordingly, effects were stronger in bolder than shyer, large- compared with small-bodied, and female compared with male focal individuals, likely because those phenotypes face an increased predation risk overall. Our study adds to the growing body of literature appreciating the complexity of the mate choice process, where an array of intrinsic and extrinsic factors interacts during decision-making.

Chlorambucil Encapsulation into pLGA Nanoparticles and Cytotoxic Effects in Breast Cancer Cell

The present work aimed to develop and evaluate a colloidal system composed of poly (DL-lactide-co-glycolide) (pLGA) nanoparticles (Nps) associated with chlorambucil (CHB) and its effects on cancer cells. The nanoparticles showed %EE (>92%), a mean particle size in the range of 240 to 334 nm and zeta potential of -16.7 to -26.0 mV. In vitro release profile showed a biphasic pattern, with an initial burst for all formulations. The scanning electron microscopy of CHB-nanoparticles showed regular spherical shapes, smooth surface without aggregations. Differential scanning calorimetry thermograms, UV-vis absorption, fluorescence emission and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were performed showing the entrapment of the antitumoral in drug delivery system. CHB encapsulated in pLGA nanoparticles decrease the survival rates of the breast cancer cells: 68.9% reduction of cell viability on MCF-7 cell line and 59.7% on NIH3T3. Our results indicated that polymeric nanoparticles produced by classical methods are efficient drug delivery systems for CHB.

In vitro antileishmanial effects of physalis angulata root extract on Leishmania infantum

Objective： In the present study, we evaluated the effects of the aqueous extract of physalis angulata root （AEpa） on Leishmania infanturn proliferation, morphology, and the driving mechanism in leishmanicidal activity and modulatory action on macrophages. Methods： I., infantum promastigotes were treated with 50 and 100 μg/mL AEpa for 72 h and then antipro- mastigote assay was performed by counts in a Newbauer chamber, morphological changes were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy and the mechanism of the leishmanicidal activity was detected. In addition, macrophages were infected with L. infantum and were used to evaluate anti-amastigote activity of AEpa and effects of AEpa on cytokine secretion after 72-hour treatment. Results： Treatment with AEpa reduced the numbers ofL infantum promastigotes （50% inhibitory concen- tration （ICso） = 65.9μg/mL; selectivity index （SI）= 22.1） and amastigotes （ICso = 37.9 μg/mL; SI = 38.5） compared with the untreated control. Amphotericin B reduced 100% of the promastigote numbers after 72 h of treatment （IC50 = 0.2μg/mL）. AEpa induced several morphological changes and increased the production of reactive oxygen species and apoptotic death in promastigotes after treating for 72 h. AEpa （100 μg/mL） promoted tumor necrosis factor-α secretion in macrophages infected with L. infantum after 72 h of treatment, but did not induce an increase in this cytokine in noninfected macrophages. In addition, AEpa showed no cytotoxic effect on j774-A1 cells （50% cytotoxic concentration 〉1000μg/mL）. Conclusion： AEpa presented antileishmanial activity against the promastigotes and amastigotes of I.. infantum without macrophage cytotoxicity; these results show that natural products such as p. angulata have leishmanicidal potential and in the future may be an alternative treatment for leishmaniasis.

Foxtail millet （Setaria italica） is one of the most valuable species in economic terms in the genus Setaria and plays an important role in human nutrition, animal feed, and agriculture. The present study described chemical, physical, and quality aspects of seeds of foxtail millet. Furthermore, the fluid-dynamic behavior of the seeds was evaluated in a conical spouted bed, which has advantages in terms of promoting the cyclic and regular movement of the seed particles. Dynamic parameters of spouting （minimum spouting veloc- ity, stable and peak pressure drop） were determined and compared with those obtained from empirical correlations available in the literature. The results obtained from physical characterization showed that the seeds can be classified as belonging to Group D of Geldart, having a non-rough surface, mean diameter of 1.75 mm, and sphericity of 0.74. Fluid-dynamics analysis showed that the seeds are suitable for processing in a spouted bed, which is in agreement with the results of particle physical characterization.

The prospect of combining both magnetic and plasmonic properties in a single nanoparticle promises both valuable insights on the properties of such systems from a fundamental viewpoint and numerous possibilities for technological applications. However, the combination of two of the most prominent metallic candidatesiron and silverhas presented numerous experimental difficulties because their thermodynamic properties impede miscibility and even coalescence. Herein, we present the thorough characterization of physically prepared Fe50Ag50 nanoparticles embedded in carbon and silica matrices via electron microscopy, optical spectroscopy, magnetometry and synchrotron-based X-ray spectroscopy. Iron and silver segregate completely into structures resembling fried eggs, with a nearly spherical, crystallized silver part surrounded by an amorphous structure of iron carbide or oxide, depending on the environment of the particles. Consequently, the particles exhibit both plasmonic absorption corresponding to the silver nanospheres in an oxide environment and a reduced but measurable magnetic response. The suitability of such nanoparticles for technological applications is discussed from the viewpoint of their high chemical reactivity with their environment.

Meningococcal disease is the acute infection caused by Neisseria meningitidis, which has humans as the only natural host. The disease is widespread around the globe and is known for its epidemical potential and high rates of lethality and morbidity. The highest number of cases of the disease is registered in the semi-arid regions of sub-Saharan Africa. In Brazil, it is endemic with occasional outbreaks, epidemics and sporadic cases occurring throughout the year, especially in the winter. The major epidemics of the disease occurred in Brazil in the 70's caused by serogroups A and C. Serogroups B, C and Y represent the majority of cases in Europe, the Americas and Australia. However, there has been a growing increase in serogroup W in some areas. The pathogen transmission happens for respiratory route(droplets) and clinically can lead to meningitis and sepsis(meningococcemia). The treatment is made with antimicrobial and supportive care. For successful prevention, we have some measures like vaccination, chemoprophylaxis and droplets' precautions. In this review, we have described and clarify clinical features of the disease caused by N. meningitidis regarding its relevance for healthcare professionals.

Novel avocado oil-functionalized yogurt with anti-obesity potential:Technological and nutraceutical perspectives

Studies on bioactive lipids have been increasing in the last years due to their proven health *** purpose of this research work was to develop a yogurt with bioactive lipids with anti-obesity *** this purpose,yogurts were produced with avocado oil in free form or encapsulated as a *** presence of avocado oil enhanced the nutritional quality of yogurts through a reduction(more than 75%)of their atherogenic and thrombogenic *** high nutritional value was particularly evident in samples with bigel,as these yogurts presented eight-fold higher levels of total fatty acids than the yogurts with avocado oil in free *** addition,yogurts with avocado bigel presented better stability throughout the gastrointestinal tract-results showed a higher recovery percentage of oleic acid(47.2%)when compared to 24%in the yogurts with avocado in free *** results from the in vitro studies demonstrated that these functional yogurts can increase the lipolytic rate in adipocytes,translated by an increase of ca.20%in glycerol release in yogurts with ***,the hepatic lipid accumulation in cells subjected to steatosis induced by chloroquine was reduced by 35%in cells treated with yogurt digested *** results showed the potential of these functional yogurts to modulate obesity-related metabolism.

目前关于中国粉尘源区的释放通量观测数据很少,被经常使用的DpM粉尘释放模型在中国源区的可靠性还没有得到验证．2002年春季在毛乌素沙地开展了野外观测实验,分别观测了跃移通量、<10μm的粉尘释放通量、温度和风速梯度．观测期间平均摩阻风速在0．26-0．35 m．s-1之间,实测的跃移通量约在0．07～8．00 g·m-1·s-1之间,实测和模拟的跃移通量较为一致,跃移通量方程经验系数取2．61比较合适;在3次局地的粉尘释放过程中,实测的粉尘释放通量约在1～3μg·m-2·s-1之间,模拟的粉尘释放通量偏高,说明该模型在低风速条件下还需要校正．通过与前人数据的比较,发现松散的砂质土的跃移通量大于具有物理结皮的砂质土和存在大土壤团块的壤质土,说明在相同摩阻风速条件下,松散的砂质土的粉尘释放通量最大,预示中国北方粉尘的主要源地在沙漠和沙漠化的土地．
