Travel time prediction with viscoelastic traffic model

Travel time through a ring road with a total length of 80 km has been predicted by a viscoelastic traffic model(VEM), which is developed in analogous to the non-Newtonian fluid flow. The VEM expresses a traffic pressure for the unfree flow case by space headway, ensuring that the pressure can be determined by the assumption that the relevant second critical sound speed is exactly equal to the disturbance propagation speed determined by the free flow speed and the braking distance measured by the average vehicular length. The VEM assumes that the sound speed for the free flow case depends on the traffic density in some specific aspects, which ensures that it is exactly identical to the free flow speed on an empty road. To make a comparison, the open Navier-Stokes type model developed by Zhang(ZHANG, H. M. Driver memory, traffic viscosity and a viscous vehicular traffic flow model. Transp. Res. Part B, 37, 27–41(2003)) is adopted to predict the travel time through the ring road for providing the counterpart *** the traffic free flow speed is 80 km/h, the braking distance is supposed to be 45 m,with the jam density uniquely determined by the average length of vehicles l ≈ 5.8 m. To avoid possible singular points in travel time prediction, a distinguishing period for time averaging is pre-assigned to be 7.5 minutes. it is found that the travel time increases monotonically with the initial traffic density on the ring road. Without ramp effects, for the ring road with the initial density less than the second critical density, the travel time can be simply predicted by using the equilibrium speed. However, this simpler approach is unavailable for scenarios over the second critical.

BACKGROUND Risk stratification for patients with gastric precancerous lesions for endoscopic surveillance remains *** To analysis of patients having developed gastric adenocarcinoma during the period of *** We conducted a retrospective study on patients having undergone upper endoscopy prior to the development of gastric adenocarcinoma. The presence and stage of precancerous lesions as well as subtype of intestinal metaplasia at the baseline endoscopy got evaluated. Literature mini-review was *** Out of 1681 subjects in the Biobank, gastric adenocarcinoma was detected in five cases in whom previous endoscopy data with biopsies either from the corpus or antral part were available. All of the patients had incomplete intestinal metaplasia during the baseline endoscopy;all three subjects in whom intestinal metaplasia subtyping was performed according to Filipe et al, had Type Ⅲ intestinal metaplasia. Modulation of protein tyrosine phosphorylation in gastric mucosa during re-epithelization processes

AiM:To investigate the role of protein tyrosine phosphorylation in gastric wound formation and repair following ulceration. METHODS:Gastric lesions were induced in rats using restraint cold *** investigate the effect of oxidative and nitrosative cell stress on tyrosine phosphorylation during wound repair,total activity of protein tyrosine kinase(PTK),protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP),antioxidant enzymes,nitric oxide synthase (NOS), 2',5'-oligoadenylate synthetase,hydroxyl radical and zinc levels were assayed in parallel. RESULTS:Ulcer provocation induced an immediate decrease in tyrosine kinase(40% in plasma membranes and 56% in cytosol,(Pivity (threefold in plasma membranes and 3.3-fold in cytosol),followed by 2.3-2.4-fold decrease (Pin protein phosphotyrosine content in the gastric mucosa. Ulceration induced no immediate change in superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity,30% increase (Pin catalase activity,2.3-fold inhibition (Pione peroxidase,3.3-fold increase (Pin hydroxyl radical content,and 2.3-fold decrease (Pin zinc level in gastric *** activity was three times higher in gastric mucosa cells after cold stress. This letter reports traffic flow sensitivity to visco-elasticity, with the traffic flow modeling briefly described at first and then used to do traffic flow simulations whose results can reflect the properties of spatial-temporal evolution of ring traffic flow. it reveals that visco-elasticity plays crucial role in formation of traffic flow patterns, implying that self-organization of traffic flow is crucial in determining traffic flow status.

Chronic cough is a troublesome problem and it is frequently associated with diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux, asthma and upper airway diseases—so called diagnostic triade. The magnitude and severity of cough is strongly associated with the ongoing nasal inflammation in subjects with rhinosinusitis and treatment of nasal inflammation leads to the down regulation of pathologically up-regulated cough. Histamine plays a key role in the inflammation of the upper airways of different aetiologies;therefore histamine receptors seem to be promising targets. The aim of our study was to ascertain the effect of H3R agonist imetit and H3R antagonist thioperamide on cough and symptoms of allergic rhinitis (AR) in an animal model of upper airway cough syndrome in ovalbumin sensitized guinea pigs. OVA sensitized guinea pigs (n = 10) were repeatedly challenged with i.n. allergen-OVA to induce allergic rhinitis and to enhance cough reflex according to the validated model of experimental allergic rhinitis. Animals were pre-treated by i.p. administration of imetit (1 mg/kg and 2 mg/kg of body weight) and thioperamide 30 min. prior i.n. OVA administration. Rhinitis evaluation was based on the occurrence of typical symptoms. The effect on cough was assessed from the response to inhalation of citric acid (0.4 M, 10 min), final cough count and cough latency were analysed from the airflow traces, cough motor pattern and the cough sound. AR up-regulated the cough response from 9 ± 2 to 16 ± 1 cough per provocation, med ± iQR, p imetit (1 mg/kg) suppressed nasal symptoms and decreased number of cough from 16 ± 1 to 12 ± 1;however the data did not reach significance. imetit (2 mg/kg) significantly suppressed the nasal symptoms, and number of coughs from 16 ± 1 to 6 ± 2, med ± iQR, p ioperamide (5 mg/kg of body weight) did not have expected effects on tested parameters. Novel MLH1 frameshift mutation in an extended hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer family

AiM： To present novel frameshift mutation c.31delC [p.L11X] in the MLH1 gene identified in an extended Bulgarian hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer （HNPCC） family and to analyze the molecular and clinical findings within the pedigree concerning the proposal of adequate individual prophylactic strategy for all mutation carriers.METHODS： The pedigree of the family consists of 42 members in four generations. Search for mutations in the MLH1 and hMSH2 genes was performed in the proband. After PCR amplification of all exons including flanking intronic regions, amplicons were directly sequenced.RESULTS： The mutation was found in nine from the thirteen pedigree members who signed informed consent to participate in the study. in three adenocarcinomas, microsatellite instability and lack of the MLH1 protein expression were detected. The only one tubulovillous adenoma analyzed was microsatellite stable and the MLH1 protein showed an intact staining.CONCLUSiON： The newly described mutation c.31delC is HNPCC causative. Besides the typical clinical features of the syndrome, we found a specific pathologic manifestation such as moderate to high differentiated adenocarcinomas of the colon. One of the mutation carriers developed a benign giant cell soft tissue tumor, The primary tumor iocalizatlons were frequently extracolonic and detailed yearly gastrointestinal and gynecological examinations have been proposed to the mutation carriers. We emphasize the importance of including the HNPCC genetic counseling and testing as well in the following surveillance of all patients at risk in the services covered by the health insurance in Bulgaria.

利用MMS观测数据,对磁层顶通量绳内离子惯性尺度(d_i)的结构进行分析研究.结果发现,许多不同尺度(约1d_i至数十d_i)的通量绳内都存在具有d_i尺度的电流j_m,其方向在磁层顶局地坐标系的-M方向,即与磁层顶查普曼-费拉罗电流同向,由电子在+M方向的运动(v_(em))携带.这些电流结构具有以下特征:磁鞘与磁层成分混合,磁场为开放形态;离子去磁化,电子与磁场冻结;N方向(即垂直于磁层顶电流片方向)的电场E_n显著增大,幅度达到约20 mV·m^(-1),并伴有明显的尖峰状起伏,该增强和尖峰状起伏的电场对应于霍尔电场.分析表明,电流、电子与离子运动的偏离以及霍尔电场之间遵从广义欧姆定律,三者密切关联.进一步对磁层顶磁重联的探测数据进行分析发现,在很多重联区内也存在与通量绳内相似的结构,其尺度约为d_i量级,其中霍尔电场E_N、电流j_M和电子速度v_(eM)均与通量绳内对应物理量的方向相同且幅度相近.基于上述观测事实,采用经典FTE通量绳模型,对通量绳内电流、电子运动和霍尔电场的起源进行了初步探讨,认为其来源于磁层顶无碰撞磁重联区内的相应结构,并且后者在离子尺度通量绳的形成过程中起到重要作用.
