采用不同浓度的吲哚乙酸（IAA），@2000，4000（ppm）、吲哚丁酸（IBA），@2000，4000（ppm）和萘乙酸（NAA），@2000，4000（ppm）生长素对印度夏尔美林业苗圃的印度七叶树（Aesculus indica）枝插条进行处理。结果表明，IBA@4000ppm和IBA@2000ppm处理扦插苗叶芽萌发率分别为75％和50％，明显高于对照及其它两种生长调节剂处理。IBA@4000ppm和IBA@2000ppm处理的扦插苗生根率分别为50％和25％，而其它处理则扦插苗不生根。说明IBA@4000ppm是当地印度七叶树扦插繁摹较适合的植物生长素和施用浓度。图2表2参13。

BACKGROUND Peptic ulcer disease(PUD)remains a significant healthcare burden,contributing to morbidity and mortality *** advancements in therapies,its prevalence persists,particularly in regions with widespread nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)use and helicobacter pylori *** To comprehensively analyse the risk factors and outcomes of PUD-related upper gastrointestinal(GI)bleeding in Pakistani *** This retrospective cohort study included 142 patients with peptic ulcer bleeding who underwent upper GI endoscopy from January to December *** on demographics,symptoms,length of stay,mortality,re-bleed,and Forrest classification was *** The mean age of patients was 53 years,and the majority was men(68.3%).hematemesis(82.4%)and epigastric pain(75.4%)were the most common presenting *** patients(73.2%)were discharged within five *** mortality rates at one week and one month were 10.6%and 14.8%,***-bleed within 24 h and seven days occurred in 14.1%and 18.3%of patients,*** ulcers were Forrest class(FC)Ⅲ(72.5%).Antiplatelet use was associated with higher mortality at 7 and 30 d,while alternative medications were linked to higher 24-hour re-bleed *** use was associated with more FCⅢ***-bleed at 24 h and 7 d was strongly associated with one-week or one-month *** Antiplatelet use and rebleeding increase the risk of early mortality in PUD-related upper GI bleeding,while alternative medicines are associated with early rebleeding.

New Schiff base polymers poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）ethylenediimine] （PMBCen）, poly[4,4＇- methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）1,2-propylenediimine] （PMBCPn）, poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）1,3-propylenediimine] （PMBCPR）, poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde） 1,2-phenylenediimine] （PMBCPh）, poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）meso-stilbenediimine] （PMBCS）, poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）urea] （PMBCUR）, poly[4,4＇- methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）semicarbazone] （PMBCSc）, poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）thiosemicarbazone] （PMBCTSc） and poly[4,4＇-methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde）hydrazone] （PMBCh） were formed by polycondensation of 4,4＇- methylenebis（cinnamaldehyde） with ethylenediamine, 1,2-propylenediamine, 1,3-propylenediamine, 1,2-phenylenediamine, meso-stilbenediamine, urea, semicarbazide, thiosemicarbazide and hydrazine, respectively. The dialdehyde and polymers have been characterized through elemental micro-analysis, IR, UV-Vis and ^1h-NMR spectroscopic techniques. Thermoanalytical studies and viscous flow of dilute solutions of dialdehyde and its polymers have been examined and compared.

Studies were carried out in the Faculty of Forestry, Sher-e-Kashrnir University of Agricultural Sciences ＆ Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar of India during 2006 and 2007. The Indian horse-chestnut （Aesculus indica Colebr.）, locally known as ＂hanudun＂, is one of the more important broad-leaved tree species of the Kashmir valley. No deep dormancy was observed in mature seeds. however, the seeds remained dormant due to unfavorable environmental conditions prevailing after seed dispersal. Both treatments of cold stratification were significantly superior to the control conditions, i.e., no stratification which showed no germination during the test period of 30 d. The effects of the two treatments （cold stratification for 15 or 30 d） also differed significantly. Germination was found to increase with an increase in the time of cold stratification. Chilling treatments of seeds for 30 d showed maximum ger- mination of 80%, requiring the shortest time for germination, i.e., 20.51 d with a maximum evaluated germination value of 14.88. The other treatment with 15 d chilling showed lower germination of 60%, requiring a maximum number of germination days （27.31 d） with lower germination value of 3.26.

为提高骨缺损修复的治疗效果,设计孔隙率为78.8%、70.8%、62.6%和54.4%的梯度多孔钛支架(分别表示为P1,P2,P3和P4),并通过选择性激光熔化技术进行制备。通过模拟和实验方法研究支架的成形性、显微组织、力学性能和渗透性能。模拟结果表明,4种梯度结构的最大等效应力和渗透性分别在569.1~1469.0MPa和(21.7~54.6)×10^(−9)m^(2)范围内,并且P3和P4具有更小的最大等效应力,表明P3和P4具有更高的强度。P3和P4结构支架的显微组织为α'马氏体,屈服强度和弹性模量分别为185.3~250.8MPa和6.1~9.7GPa。相比于P3结构支架,P4结构支架展现出更高的强度和与皮质骨更加匹配的弹性模量,并且其渗透性(18.6×10^(−9)m^(2))在人体骨组织渗透性范围内。因此,具有P4结构支架有望被应用于骨科植入领域。

A new spectrophotometric method has been examined for the determination of the tranexamic acid (TA) by derivatization with vanillin (VAN). The molar absorptivity of TA was calculated 25 160 L·mol-1·cm-1 at λmax 354 nm and obeyed the Beer's law within 0.5-2.5 μg·mL-1. The color reaction was highly stable and did not show any change in absorbance up to 24 h. The method was applied for the analysis of TA from capsules, injections and tooth pastes. The amounts of TA found in capsules, injections and tooth pastes of various pharmaceutical companies were observed with 249.0-250.9 mg/capsule, 249.3-250.7 mg/injection and 0.048%-0.049% in tooth pastes with relative standard deviation (RSD) 0.2%-5.0% (n = 3).

Studies on Refinement of Container Size and Potting Mixture for Production of Quality Seedlings in Spruce (<i>Picea Smithiana</i>Wall. Boiss)

Spruce (Picea Smithiana) is an evergreen tree and distributed through the temperate himalaya at the elevation of 2000 - 3500 m. Natural regeneration of spruce (Picea smithiana) is generally slow and almost negligible due to a number of factors e.g. presence of un decomposed raw humus on forest floor low germinative capacity of seed and infrequent good seed years. In order to supplement natural regeneration through artificial means, nursery raising assumes significance. The present study aimed at optimizing the root trainer container size and the potting mixture ingredients and their proportion for the production of quality nursery stock of Picea smithiana. Nine combinations of potting mixture ingredients (Forest Soil, Garden Soil, Sand, FYM and Lake weed) were tested in various ratios for the optimization of potty mixture in different root trainer sizes. Simultaneously, three different volumes (150cc, 250cc and 300cc) of root trainers were tested for suitability of container size. Chemical and physical analysis of potting mixture ingredients was carried out for better understanding of nutrient status. The best seedling growth at seven month age in terms of height (5.53 cm), Collar diameter (1.57 mm), fresh shoot weight (0.34 g), dry shoot weight (0.10 g), fresh root weight (0.27 g) , dry root weight (0.03 g), root shoot ratio(2:52), and total fresh biomass (0.61 g) were observed when seedlings were raised in root trainer container size (300cc) filled with potting mixture of (M8) Soil:Sand:FYM (1:1:2) and the lowest growth parameters were observed in root trainer container size (150cc) filled with forest soil only. Plantable quality seedlings can be recovered within a period of 7 months using potting mixture of Soil, Sand and FYM (1:1:2) and Soil, Sand and Lake weed (1:1:2) ratios in root trainer container size 300cc.

BACKGROUND Panton-Valentine leukocidin(PVL)is an exotoxin secreted by Staphylococcus aureus(***),responsible for skin and soft tissue *** a cause of severe necrotising pneumonia,it is associated with a high mortality rate.A rare entity,the epidemiology of PVL ***(PVL-SA)pneumonia as a complication of influenza coinfection,particularly in young adults,is incompletely *** SUMMARY An adolescent girl presented with haemoptysis and respiratory distress,deteriorated rapidly,with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)and profound shock requiring extensive,prolonged resuscitation,emergency critical care and venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO).Cardiac arrest and a rare complication of ECMO cannulation necessitated intra-procedure extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation,i.e.,venoarterial *** infectious disease,microbiology and Public health England engagement identified causative agents as PVL-SA and influenza A/h3N2 from bronchial aspirates within *** further complications of critical illness,the patient made an excellent recovery with normal cognitive *** coordinated approach of numerous multidisciplinary specialists,nursing staff,infection control,specialist cardiorespiratory support,hospital services,both adult and paediatric and Public health are testimony to what can be achieved to save life against expectation,against the *** case serves as a reminder of the deadly nature of PVL-SA when associated with influenza and describes a rare complication of ECMO *** PVL-SA can cause severe ARDS and profound shock,with influenza infection.A timely coordinated multispecialty approach can be lifesaving.
