The nonlocal nonlinear vibration analysis of embedded laminated micro- plates resting on an elastic matrix as an orthotropic Pasternak medium is investigated. The small size effects of micro/nano-plate are considered based on the Eringen nonlocal theory. Based on the orthotropic Mindlin plate theory along with the von Kármán geo- metric nonlinearity and Hamilton＇s principle, the governing equations are derived. The differential quadrature method （DQM） is applied for obtaining the nonlinear frequency of system. The effects of different parameters such as nonlocal parameters, elastic me- dia, aspect ratios, and boundary conditions are considered on the nonlinear vibration of the micro-plate. Results show that considering elastic medium increases the nonlinear frequency of system. F^lrthermore, the effect of boundary conditions becomes lower at higher nonlocal parameters.

The free vibration analysis of a rotating sandwich conical shell with a reentrant auxetic honeycomb core and homogenous isotropic face layers reinforced with a ring support is *** shell is modeled utilizing the first-order shear deformation theory(FSDT)incorporating the relative,centripetal,and Coriolis accelerations alongside the initial hoop tension created by the *** governing equations,compatibility conditions,and boundary conditions are attained using Hamilton’s *** trigonometric functions,an analytical solution is derived in the circumferential direction,and a numerical one is presented in the meridional direction via the differential quadrature method(DQM).The effects of various factors on the critical rotational speeds and forward and backward frequencies of the shell are *** present work is the first theoretical work regarding the dynamic analysis of a rotating sandwich conical shell with an auxetic honeycomb core strengthened with a ring support.

The first photometric light curve investigation of the NSVS 8294044,V1023 Her,and V1397 Her binary systems is *** used ground-based observations for the NSVS 8294044 system and Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite data for V1023 Her and V1397 *** primary and secondary times of minima were extracted from al the data,and,by collecting the literature,a new ephemeris was computed for each *** fits for the O-C diagrams were conducted using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) *** curve solutions were performed using the PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs Python code and the MCMC *** systems were found to be contact binary stars based on the fillout factor and mass ratio.V1023 Her showed the O’Connell effect and a cold starspot on the secondary component was required for the light curve *** absolute parameters of the system were estimated based on an empirical relationship between orbital period and *** presented a new T–M equation based on a sample of 428 contact binary systems and found that our three target systems were in good agreement with the *** positions of the systems were also depicted on the M–L,M–R,q–L_(ratio),and M_(tot)–J_(0)diagrams in the logarithmic scales.

Theoretical description of the wave propagation in an elliptical cylinder multilayer structure under the conditions of H polarization and E polarization is presented. A transfer matrix method has been developed for elliptical cylinder waves. The formulas of reflection and transmission coefficients for an elliptical cylinder multilayer structure are driven. Reflection and transmission coefficients of elliptical cylinder waves by a single elliptical cylinder interface is presented. The obtained formulas can be generalized to the cold plasma filled structures and thus the obtained results in the limit of circular cylinder structures are investigated.

The hydrodynamics and mass transfer characteristics of a lab-scale jet bubbling reactor(JBR)including the gas holdup,volumetric mass transfer coefficient and specific interfacial area were assessed experimentally investigating the influence of temperature,pH and superficial gas *** reactor diameter and height were 11 and 30 cm,*** was equipped with a single sparger,operating at atmospheric pressure,20 and 40℃,and two pH values of 3 and *** height of the liquid was 23 cm,while the superficial gas velocity changed within 0.010-0.040 m·s^(-1)*** were conducted with pure oxygen as the gas phase and saturated lime solution as the liquid *** liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficient was determined under unsteady-state oxygen absorption in a saturated lime *** gas holdup was calculated based on the liquid height change,while the specific interfacial area was obtained by a physical method based on the bubble size distribution(BSD)in different superficial gas *** results indicated that at the same temperature but different pH,the gas holdup variation was negligible,while the liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficient at the pH value of 6 was higher than that at the pH=*** a constant pH but different temperatures,the gas holdup and the liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficients at 40℃were higher than that of the same at 20℃.A reasonable and appropriate estimation of the liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficient(kla)in a pilot-scale JBR was provided which can be applied to the design and scale-up of JBRs.

This paper is concerned with a buckling analysis of an embedded nanoplate integrated with magnetoelectroelastic(MEE) layers based on a nonlocal magnetoelectroelasticity theory. A surrounding elastic medium is simulated by the Pasternak foundation that considers both shear and normal loads. The sandwich nanoplate(SNP) consists of a core that is made of metal and two MEE layers on the upper and lower surfaces of the core made of Ba Ti O3/Co Fe2 O4. The refined zigzag theory(RZT) is used to model the SNP subject to both external electric and magnetic potentials. Using an energy method and Hamilton’s principle, the governing motion equations are obtained, and then solved analytically. A detailed parametric study is conducted, concentrating on the combined effects of the small scale parameter, external electric and magnetic loads, thicknesses of MEE layers, mode numbers, and surrounding elastic medium. It is concluded that increasing the small scale parameter decreases the critical buckling loads.

Li-S batteries have attracted considerable interest as nextgeneration energy storage devices owing to high energy density and the natural abundance of ***,the practical applications of Li-S batteries are hampered by the shuttle effect of soluble lithium polysulfides(LPS),which results in low cycle ***,a functional interlayer has been developed to efficiently regulate the LPS and enhance the sulfur utilization using hierarchical nanostructure of C3 N4(t-C3 N4)embedded with Fe304 nanospheres.t-C3 N4 exhibits high surface area and strong anchoring of LPS,and the Fe3 O4/t-C3 N4 accelerates the anchoring of LPS and improves the electronic *** combination of these materials leads to remarkable battery performance with 400%improvement in a specific capacity and a low capacity decay per cycle of 0.02%at 2 C over 1000 cycles,and stable cycling at 6.4 mg cm-2 for high-sulfur-loading cathode.

Structural and spectroscopic characterization of HgS nanoparticles prepared via simple microwave approach in presence of novel sulfuring agent

Mercury sulfide (HgS) crystals with different morphologies and particle sizes, were obtained via a simple microwave reaction by a new precursor complex, [bis ((2-suphanylphenyl)imino]methylphenol) Hg(II)] ([Hg(C13H11NSO)2]2+). The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet–visible (UV?Vis) spectroscopy. Mercury sulfide nanostructures with different sizes were prepared. The effects of precursor concentration, type of solvent, microwave time, and power on the particle size and morphology were investigated. The results show that the type of solvent and microwave power play key roles in the final size of HgS. Ethylene glycol is the best solvent for the synthesis of very fine particles of HgS, and the best power for the preparation of HgS nanoparticles with uniform size distribution is 900 W. The band gap for HgS nanoparticles calculated by UV–Vis spectrum was 3.2 eV which had about 1.2 eV blue shift in comparison with the band gap of 2 eV for bulk sample.

gd3+-,Pr3+-or Sm3+-doped Co-Zn(Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2 O4)magnetic ferrites(i.e.,Co0.5Zn0.5gd0.1Fe1.9O4,Co0.5Zn0.5Pr0.1Fe1.9O4 and Co0.5Zn0.5Sm0.1Fe1.9O4)were prepared using a facile sol-gel approach,and the structure,surface morphology and chemical composition of the products were studied by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray analysis(EDX),X-ray diffraction(XRD),UVvisible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS),photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)*** patterns show the Co-Zn product is composed of cubic spinel phases with few impurities or secondary phases,and the average crystallite sizes of the samples are determined to be approximately^51—80,~99—181,~68—103 and^83—133 *** the coercivity and remnant and saturation magnetizations,evaluated by vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM),are found to increase linearly with the incorporation of gd3+,Pr3+and Sm3+in the product *** CO1-xZnxFe2-yRyO4 photocatalyst sample is found to display a red shift in its absorption,and exhibits outstanding photocatalytic effects in the degradation of MO under ultraviolet(UV)*** is attributed to the reduction of the band gap of cobalt-zinc ferrite due to the presence of rare earth *** in vitro evaluations of the cytotoxic effects of the synthesized nanoparticles were performed on a HeLa cell line.
