Polymeric nanoparticles of poly(methyl methacrylate)were obtained by emulsion polymerization techniques in a proce ss of two *** particles were functionalized with acrylic acid,curcumin,and fumaramide and three series of polymeric particles were *** incorporation of functional groups was confirmed by Fourier transform-infrared spectrosocopy(FT-IR)and ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)*** spherical morphology of particles with an average diameter of 100 nm was observed by scartning electron microscopy(SEM).The polymeric materials were used for recovery of[Eu]from synthetic *** nanoparticles show excellent chelation capacity to trap rare-earth ions,because they recover more than 85%of[Eu]at pH of *** images of SEM after extraction process show arrays between particles with larger average particle sizes to 1.5 *** addition,the particles have a good stripping capacity,exceeding 50%of it,maintaining their homogeneity in morphology and good stability in dispersion for the recovery and stripping processes.A pseudo-second model order is obtained for the extraction and stripping processes while the best results of stripping process are obtained at pH of 6.

The recovery of yttrium is proposed by applying a solid-liquid extraction process using di-2-ethyl hexylphosphoric acid(D2EHPA) as extracting *** extracting agents were supported on a macro porous polymeric resin XAD-7(solid phase).Yttrium ions extraction and discharge tests were performed,firstly from a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 mg/L Y(liquid phase) at 25℃ with *** effects of pH of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium,volume fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/L)ratio on the yttrium recovery were *** most favorable conditions for yttrium ions extraction are;20 vol% D_(2)EHPA functionalized resin,pH=1.5 and an S/L ratio of 10 mg/mL The discharge of yttrium ions was done under the same conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 mol/L [H_(2)SO_(4)] as stripping *** to 80% yttrium is extracted,while 75% yttrium is recovered in the striping *** all experiments,the reaction equilibrium is reached after 20 min,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determined as a second-order ***,experiments were carried out to discharge the yttriumloaded resins,and it has been determined that the best pH value to strip the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the proposed process was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m a waste fluorescent la mp powder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),demonstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium,separating it from various metals from the studied residue.

Weather influenced nestling growth of an insectivorous but not a granivorous grassland passerine in Argentina

nestling growth of birds can be affected by weather *** general,it is expected that higher temper-atures favor growth by improving food availability and nestling metabolism,while rain hinders it by reducing foraging ***,most of these patterns have been described in insectivorous cavity-nesting birds in temperate *** tested these predictions in two neotropical grassland ground-nesting birds with contrasting nestling diets and therefore potentially different responses to *** measured nestlings of the Hellmayr’s Pipit(Anthus hellmayri,an insectivorous passerine)and the Grassland Yellow-Finch(Sicalis luteola,which feeds its nestlings exclusively with seeds)during three breeding seasons(2017-2020)in central-eastern *** took measurements of tarsus and body mass,modeled growth curves using nonlinear mixed-effects models,and evaluated the effects of minimum daily temperature and precipitation during the growth period and the 30 days prior to *** pipits(60 nestlings from 21 nests),minimum temperatures during the growth period were positively associated with tarsus and body mass ***,there was a positive association between precipitation during the pre-hatching period and tarsus ***,none of the weather variables analyzed had significant effects on nestling growth of finches(131 nestlings from 35 nests).Dietary contrast between species may explain the different *** activity and abundance can be affected by weather variations within the span of a breeding season,whereas seeds may depend on conditions from previous years,making the effects ha.der to *** with reduced asymptotic size can have reduced chances of ***,pipit populations could be impacted if they experience cold and dry conditions during their breeding season,which is of major relevance in the current context of climate change.

despite their potential for providing important information for paleobiogeography,studies using ostracod assemblages compiled from global datasets have been scarce so *** this study,the paleogeographic implications of the relationship between different ostracod assemblages are analyzed and discussed for the Albian and *** compiled an ostracod dataset at the genus level,with 168 genera for the Albian and 174 for the Cenomanian,to which different multivariate statistical methods of grouping were *** affinity between different ostracod assemblages from different regions allowed for the delineation of 30 operational geographic units(OGUs)for the Albian,and 32 OGUs for the Cenomanian,grouped in three paleobiogeographic units(PBUs;Megatethys,Persia,and Austral)and one sub-unit(PBSU;Maghreb associated to the Megatethys).The Maghreb PBSU showed minor changes between the Albian and *** relationship among the OGUs grouped in each PBU is related to different factors,such as eustatic sea level events,similar climatic zones,and marine current circulation patterns.A relationship was observed between the Gabon and nigeria OGUs with the Persia PBU,which suggests a direct east—west connection between them during the *** affinity observed in the Austral PBU between the South American,South African,and Australian regions during the Albian can be explained by their relative geographic isolation due to the Walvis Ridge *** eventual flooding of this barrier led to the relationship observed between the SE Brazilian and Bolivian regions with the Austral ***,the data also suggested that the separation of the Indian subcontinent from the Austral PBU took place during the Cenomanian.

In this paper,we apply the spatial panel model to explore the relationship between the dynamic of two types of crude oil prices(WTI and Brent crude oil)and their refined products over *** the turbulent months of 2011,when Cushing Oklahoma had reached capacity and the crude oil export ban removal in 2015 as breakpoints,we apply this method both in the full sample and the three resultant ***,results suggest our results show that both WTI and Brent display very similar behaviour with the refined ***,when attending to each regime,results derived from the first and third regimes are quite similar to the full sample ***,during the second regime,Brent crude oil became the benchmark in the petrol market,and it influenced the distillate ***,our model can let us determine the price-setters and price-followers in the price formation mechanism through refined *** results possess important considerations to policymakers and the market participants and the price formation.
