Recently,deep learning has yielded transformative success across optics and photonics,especially in optical *** neural networks (DNNs) with a fully convolutional architecture (e.g.,U-Net and its derivatives) have been widely implemented in an end-to-end manner to accomplish various optical metrology tasks,such as fringe denoising,phase unwrapping,and fringe ***,the task of training a DNN to accurately identify an image-to-image transform from massive input and output data pairs seems at best naive.as the physical laws governing the image formation or other domain expertise pertaining to the measurement have not yet been fully exploited in current deep learning *** this end,we introduce.a physics-informed deep learning method for fringe pattern analysis (PI-FPA) to overcome this limit by integrating a lightweight DNN with a learning-enhanced Fourier transform profilometry (Le FTP) *** parameterizing conventional phase retrie.al methods,the Le FTP module embeds the prior knowledge in the network structure.and the loss function to directly provide reliable phase results for new types of samples,while circumventing the requirement of collecting a large.amount of high-quality data in supervised learning *** by the initial phase from Le FTP,the phase recovery ability of the lightweight DNN is enhanced to further improve the phase.accuracy at a low computational cost compared with existing end-to-end *** results demonstrate that PI-FPA e.ables more.accurate.and computationally efficient single-shot phase retrie.al,exhibiting its excellent gene.alization to various unseen objects during *** proposed PI-FPA presents that challenging issues in optical metrology can be potentially overcome through the synergy of physics-priors-based traditional tools and data-driven learning approaches,opening new avenues to achieve fast and accurate single-shot 3D imaging.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(eT)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-re.axation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the tempe.ature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate.a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-re.axation processes.A decrease of the re.ative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum re.ative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value.among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(SRSS)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PIC)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order SRSS and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PIC simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order SRSS propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order SRSS,but there is no cascade.accele.ation to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that SRSS and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.

Background The money tree is a favored indoor potted plant in China. Its seeds resemble chestnuts in both shape.and flavor when cooked, which are gene.ally considered non-Toxic and safe for consumption. Case presentation This report presents the first published case of food poisoning due to the ingestion of large.amounts of money tree seeds. A 67-year-old man exhibited toxic encephalopathy symptoms and dyspnea after consuming the seeds for approximately 6 months. After empirical mechanical ventilation, the.apeutic plasma exchange, and other medical interventions, the patient's clinical status improved significantly. He was subsequently discharged from the hospital. Conclusion Consuming a substantial quantity of money tree seeds within a limited timeframe can lead to poisoning, resulting in adverse outcomes, particularly toxic encephalopathy. Moreover, plasma exchange may have some the.apeutic effect. © Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. All rights reserved.

Tight focusing with very small f-numbers is necessary to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong de.ands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe seve.al near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard X-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 J total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainless-steel *** discuss the.applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the short Rayleigh length)and show that seve.al diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard X-rays)can ensure this *** demonstrated target positioning within seve.al micrometers from the focus,ensuring over 80%of the ideal peak laser intensity *** approach is re.atively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.

Impact of effective stress on permeability for carbonate fractured-vuggy rocks

To gain insight into the flow mechanisms and stress sensitivity for fractured-vuggy reservoirs,seve.al core models with different structural characteristics were designed and fabricated to investigate the impact of effective stress on permeability for carbonate fractured-vuggy rocks(CFVR).It shows that the permeability performance curves under different pore.and confining pressures(*** stress conditions)for the fractured core models and the vuggy core models have similar change *** ranges of permeability variation are significantly wider at high pore pressures,indicating that permeability reduction is the most significant during the early stage of development for fractured-vuggy *** each obtained effective stress coefficient for permeability(eSCP)varies with the changes in confining pressure.and pore pressure,the effective stresses for permeability of four representative CFVR show obvious nonlinear characteristics,and the variation ranges of eSCP are.all between 0 and ***,a comprehensive eSCP mathe.atical model considering triple media,including matrix pores,fractures,and dissolved vugs,was *** is proved theoretically that the eSCP of CFVR gene.ally varies between 0 and ***,the regression results showed that the power model ranked highest among the four empirical models mainly applied in stress sensitivity characterization,followed by the logarithmic model,exponential model,and binomial *** concept of“permeability decline rate”was introduced to better e.aluate the stress sensitivity performance for CFVR,in which the one-fracture rock is the strongest,followed by the fracture-vug rock and two-horizontalfracture rock;the through-hole rock is the *** gene.al,this study provides a theoretical basis to guide the design of development and adjustment programs for carbonate fractured-vuggy reservoirs.

Decellularised extracellular matrix (deCM) is a biomaterial derived from natural tissues that has attracted conside.able.attention from tissue engineering researchers due to its exceptional biocompatibility and malleability attributes. These.advantageous properties often facilitate natural cell infiltration and tissue reconstruction for regene.ative medicine. Due to their excellent fluidity, the injectable hydrogels can be.administered in a liquid state.and subsequently formed into a gel state in vivo, stabilising the target area and serving in a variety of ways, such as support, re.air, and drug release functions. Thus, deCM-based injectable hydrogels have broad prospects for application in complex organ structures and various tissue injury models. This review focuses on exploring research advances in deCM-based injectable hydrogels, primarily focusing on the.applications and prospects of deCM hydrogels in tissue engineering. Initially, the recent developments of the deCM-based injectable hydrogels are explained, summarising the different pre.aration methods with the e.aluation of injectable hydrogel properties. Furthermore, some specific e.amples of the.applicability of deCM-based injectable hydrogels are presented. Finally, we summarise the.article with interesting prospects and challenges of deCM-based injectable hydrogels, providing insights into the development of these composites in tissue engineering and regene.ative medicine. © 2024, Chinese Medical Multimedia Press Co Ltd. AIM:To assess the repeatability,interocular corre.ation,and agreement of quantitative swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)optic nerve head(ONH)parameters in healthy ***:Thir ty-three healthy subjects were *** ONH of both eyes were imaged four times by a swept-source-OCTA using a 3 mm×3 mm scanning *** of the radial peripapillary capillary were.analyzed by a customized Matlab program,and the vessel density,fractal dimension,and vessel diameter index were *** repeatability of the four scans was determined by the intraclass corre.ation coefficient(ICC).The most well-centered optic disc from the four repeated scans was then selected for the interocular corre.ation and agreement analysis using the Pearson corre.ation coefficient,ICC and Bland-Altman ***:All swept-source-OCTA ONH parameters exhibited certain repeatability,with ICC>0.760 and coefficient of variation(CoV)≤7.301%.The obvious interocular corre.ation was observed for papillary vessel density(ICC=0.857),vessel diameter index(ICC=0.857)and fractal dimension(ICC=0.906),while circumpapillary vessel density exhibited mode.ate interocular corre.ation(ICC=0.687).Bland-Altman plots revealed an agreement range of-5.26%to 6.21%for circumpapillary vessel ***:OCTA ONH parameters demonstrate good repeatability in healthy *** interocular corre.ations of papillary vessel density,fractal dimension and vessel diameter index are high,but the corre.ation for circumpapillary vessel density is mode.ate.

Ferroelectric HfO_(2)has attracted much attention owing to its superior ferroelectricity at an ultra-thin thickness and good compatibility with Si-based complementary me.al-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)***,the crystallization of polar orthorhombic phase(o-phase)HfO_(2)is less competitive,which greatly limits the ferroelectricity of the.as-obtained ferroelectric HfO_(2)thin ***,the crystallization of o-phase HfO_(2)can be thermodynamically modulated via interfacial stress *** this paper,the growth of improved ferroelectric Al doped HfO_(2)(HfO_(2):Al)thin films on(111)-oriented Si substrate has been *** analysis has suggested that nonpolar monoclinic HfO_(2):Al grown on(111)-oriented Si substrate suffered from a strong compressive strain,which promoted the crystallization of(111)-oriented o-phase HfO_(2)in the.as-grown HfO_(2):Al thin *** addition,the in-plane lattice of(111)-oriented Si substrate matches well with that of(111)-oriented o-phase HfO_(2),which further thermally stabilizes the o-phase HfO_(2).Accordingly,an improved ferroelectricity with a remnant polarization(2P_(r))of 26.7C/cm^(2) has been *** results shown in this work provide.a simple way toward the pre.aration of improved ferroelectric HfO_(2)thin films.
