The glacial history of Pico de Orizaba indicates that during the Last Glacial Maximum,its icecap covered up to~3000 m asl;due to the air temperature increasing,its main glacier has retreated to 5050 m *** retraction of the glacier has left behind an intense climatic instability that causes a high frequency of freeze-thaw cycles of great intensity;the resulting geomorphological processes are represented by the fragmentation of the bedrock that occupies the upper parts of the *** is a notable lack of studies regarding the fragmentation and erosion occurring in tropical high mountains,and the associated geomorphological risks;for this reason,as a first stage of future continuous research,this study analyzes the freezing and thawing cycles that occur above 4000 m asl,through continuous monitoring of surface ground *** results allow us to identify and characterize four zones:glacial,paraglacial,periglacial and *** was found that the paraglacial zone presents an intense drop of temperature,of up to~9℃ in only sixty *** rock fatigue and intense freeze-thaw cycles that occur in this area are responsible for the high rate of rock disintegration and represent the main factor of the constant slope dynamics that occur at the *** activity decreases,both in frequency and intensity,according to the distance to the glacier,which is where the temperature presents a certain degree of stability,until reaching the proglacial zone,where cycles are almost non-existent,and therefore there is no gelifraction *** geomorphological processes have resulted in significant alterations to the mountain slopes,which can have severe consequences in terms of risk and water.

Despite being within the intertropical region of the planet,the Mexican territory still has glacier-covered *** recent decades,important advances have been made in studies on glaciology and periglacial environment in Mexico both for current and past ***,in spite of Cofre de Perote volcano(4200 m a.s.l.)being a strategically located mountain,it has not yet been studied in regards to the glacial and periglacial processes;in fact,those dynamics have modified the mountain massifs in the *** complement the series of studies on glacial history in the high mountain environment of México,this study reconstructs the glacial cover and the periglacial environment of the volcano surface during the final stage of the Late Pleistocene based on climatic retrospective and through the identification of geomorphological *** findings indicate the existence of a large glacier(ice cap)that covered the northern,western,and southern slopes of the mountain;while in the eastern sector there were two small glaciers,one being of cirque type,and the other of valley *** current temperature conditions prevent the occurrence of permanent ice bodies;at the same time,it was found that the periglacial blockfields of the slopes is a legacy of the climatic conditions that prevailed at the end of Late Pleistocene.

Aim:Dermal fillers are increasingly popular *** intraarterial injection of fillers,particularly with calcium hydroxylapatite(CaHA),can result in devastating consequences.A systemic review was performed to summarize management strategies to treat CaHA-associated vascular ***:The methodology of this review was derived from The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses(PRISMA).In addition,this paper presents a previously unreported case of a CaHA-associated vascular ***:There were 32 articles describing 42 cases,plus our case included in this *** were 15 cases of vision complications,23 cases of non-vision complications,and 5 experimental *** most common injection sites reported were nasal region for vision complications(45%)and nasolabial folds for non-vision complications(40%).Of the 38 human cases,the most prevalent treatment choice was steroids(24 cases,63%).Complete or near complete improvement was reported in 83%of non-vision complications and 40%of vision *** was no noticeable homogeneity in the management strategies and outcomes of the *** the 5 experimental studies,no clear consensus on treatments was ***:Vascular complications of CaHA are seemingly uncommon,but it is widely suspected that this is due to *** best management is prevention,preparation for a potential complication is equally *** from CaHA literature,hyaluronic acid filler complication protocols,findings of this review,and personal experiences,this report proposes management strategies for CaHA-associated vascular *** hope these strategies provide a much-needed framework for injectors to refer to and utilize as needed.

Epidemiologic data have demonstrated that breast cancer incidence is inverselycorrelated with indices of vitamin D status,including ultraviolet exposure,whichenhances epidermal vitamin D *** vitamin D receptor (VDR) is ex-pressed in mammary epithelial cells,suggesting that vitamin D may directly influ-ence sensitivity of the gland to *** with this concept,invitro studies have demonstrated that the VDR ligand,1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25D),exerts negative growth regulatory effects on mammary epithelial cells thatcontribute to maintenance of the differentiated ***,deletionof the VDR gene in mice alters the balance between proliferation and apoptosis inthe mammary gland,which ultimately enhances its susceptibility to *** addition,dietary supplementation with vitamin D,or chronic treatment withsynthetic VDR agonists,reduces the incidence of carcinogen-induced mammarytumors in ***,these observations have reinforced the need tofurther define the human requirement for vitamin D and the molecular actions ofthe VDR in relation to prevention of breast cancer.

On 24 February 2021,a month after announcing the project,the biotechnology company Moderna(Cambridge,MA,USA)sent samples to the US National Institutes of Health(NIH)of the updated coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)vaccine booster it had created and manufactured to address the B.1.351 variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),first reported in South Africa[1].The hope is that such quick updates to authorized vaccines will provide—if and as needed—protection against the rapidly spreading new strains of SARS-CoV-2 that have shown troubling signs suggesting immune evasion[2].

This paper considers phenomenological descriptions of health in Gadamer, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, and Svenaeus. In these phenomenologies of health, health is understood as a tacit, background state that permits not only normal functioning but also philosophical reflection. Nietzsche＇s model of health as a state of intensity that is intimately connected to illness and suffering is then offered as a rejoinder. Nietzsche＇s model includes a more complex view of suffering and pain as integrally tied to health, and its language opens up the possibility of many ＂healths,＂ providing important theoretical support to phenomenological accounts of the diversity and complexity of health and illness.

Most plant cells contain a large central vacuole that is essential to maintain cellular turgor. we report a new mutant allele of VTI11 that implicates the SNARE protein VTI11 in homotypic fusion of protein storage and lytic vacuoles. Fusion of the multiple vacuoles present in vtill mutants could be induced by treatment with wortmannin and LY294002, which are inhibitors of Phosphatidylinositol 3-Kinase （PI3K）. we provide evidence that Phosphatidylinositol 3-Phosphate （Ptdlns（3）P） regulates vacuole fusion in vtill mutants, and that fusion of these vacuoles requires intact microtubules and actin filaments. Finally, we show that wortmannin also induced the fusion of guard cell vacuoles in fava beans, where vacuoles are naturally fragmented after ABA-induced stomata closure. These results suggest a ubiquitous role of phosphoinositides in vacuole fusion, both during the development of the large central vacuole and during the dynamic vacuole remodeling that occurs as part of stomata movements.
