Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. The inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHSDT) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of Green-Lagrange nonlinearity. The problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MATLAB environment to solve it numerically. various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(HR), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(HS), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. The model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. These studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. The results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

Recent reports suggest that aging is not solely a physiological process in living beings;instead, it should be considered a pathological process or disease(Amorim et al., 2022). Consequently, this process involves a wide range of factors, spanning from genetic to environmental factors, and even includes the gut microbiome(GM)(Mayer et al., 2022). All these processes coincide at some point in the inflammatory process, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, at different degrees in various organs and systems that constitute a living organism(Mayer et al., 2022;AguilarHernández et al., 2023).

A plasma-assisted catalytic reactor was used to remove nitrogen oxides (NOx)from diesel engine exhaust operated under different load conditions. Initial studies were focused onplasma reactor (a dielectric barrier discharge reactor) treatment of diesel exhaust at varioustemperatures. The nitric oxide (NO) removal efficiency was lowered when high temperature exhaust wastreated using plasma reactor. Also, NO removal efficiency decreased when 45% load exhaust wastreated. Studies were then made with plasma reactor combined with a catalytic reactor consisting ofa selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, v_2O_5/TiO_2. Ammonia was used as a reducing agentfor SCR process in a ratio of 1:1 to NOx. The studies were focused on temperatures of the SCRcatalytic reactor below 200℃. The plasma-assisted catalytic reactor was operated well to remove NOxunder no-load and load conditions. For an energy input of 96 J/l, the NOx removal efficienciesobtained under no-load and load conditions were 90% and 72% respectively at an exhaust temperatureof 100 ℃.

We investigate the DC transport properties of 60v_(2)O_(5)-5P_(2)O_(5)-(35-x)B_(2)O_(3)-xDy_(2)O_(3)(x=0.4,0.6,0.8,1.0 and 1.2 mol%)glasses as function of temperature which were prepared using the conventional melt-quenching *** glasses are characterised by thermo gravimetric-differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA).Activation energy(E_(DC))is obtained from Arrhenius plots of temperature-dependent DC conductivity,and it is found to be 0.30 ev for high conducting *** order to understand the role of Dy_(2)O_(3) in these glasses,the density and molar volume are *** results show that molar volume of the glass increases with the increasing of Dy2O_(3) *** ionic conductivity is found to be dominant over the electronic conductivity and varies between 82%and 96%.

The objective of this investigation is to study the influence of vanadium（5.0wt%–10.0wt%） and chromium（0–9.0wt%） on the microstructure and hardness of Cr-v-Mn-Ni white cast irons with spheroidal vanadium carbides. The alloys＇ microstructural features are presented and discussed with regard to the distribution of phase elements. The structural constituents of the alloys are spheroidal vC, proeutectoid cementite, ledeburite eutectic, rosette-shaped carbide eutectic（based on M7C3）, pearlite, martensite, and austenite. Their combinations and area fraction（AF） ratios are reported to be influenced by the alloys＇ chemical composition. Spheroidized vC particles are found to be sites for the nucleation of carbide eutectics. Cr and v are shown to substitute each other in the vC and M7C3 carbides, respectively. Chromium alloying leads to the formation of a eutectic（γ-Fe ＋ М7С3）, preventing the appearance of proeutectoid cementite in the structure. vanadium and chromium are revealed to increase the total carbide fraction and the amount of austenite in the matrix. Cr is observed to play a key role in controlling the metallic matrix microstructure.

Full factorial design was used to evaluate the two-body abrasive resistance of 3wt%C–4wt%Mn–1.5wt%Ni spheroidal carbide cast irons with varying vanadium（5.0wt%–10.0wt%） and chromium（up to 9.0wt%） contents. The alloys were quenched at 920℃. The regression equation of wear rate as a function of v and Cr contents was proposed. This regression equation shows that the wear rate decreases with increasing v content because of the growth of spheroidal vC carbide amount. Cr influences the overall response in a complex manner both by reducing the wear rate owing to eutectic carbides（M7C3） and by increasing the wear rate though stabilizing austenite to deformation-induced martensite transformation. This transformation is recognized as an important factor in increasing the abrasive response of the alloys. By analyzing the regression equation, the optimal content ranges are found to be 7.5wt%–10.0wt% for v and 2.5wt%–4.5wt% for Cr, which corresponds to the alloys containing 9vol%–15vol% spheroidal vC carbides, 8vol%–16vol% M7C3, and a metastable austenite/martensite matrix. The wear resistance is 1.9–2.3 times that of the traditional 12wt% v–13wt% Mn spheroidal carbide cast iron.

A solvable model of lateral line of a fish based on a wave equation with additional boundary conditions on a set of isolated points is *** the framework of this model it is shown that the ratio of pressures on lateral lines on different fish flanks,as well as the cross section of sound scattering on both the lines,strongly depends on angles of incidence of incoming sound *** strong angular dependence of the pressure ratio seems to be sufficient for the fish to determine the directions from which the sound is coming.

We propose a low-scale Standard Model extension with T_(7)×Z_(4)×Z_(3)×Z_(2) symmetry that can successfully explain observed neutrino oscillation results within the 3σ*** neutrino masses are obtained via the linear seesaw *** and inverted neutrino mass orderings are considered with three lepton mixing angles in their experimentally allowed 3σ*** model provides a suitable correlation between the solar and reactor neutrino mixing angles,which is consistent with the TM2 *** prediction for the Dirac phase isδCP∈(295.80,330.0)°for both normal and inverted orderings,including its experimentally maximum value,while those for the two Majorana phases areη1∈(349.60,356.60)°,η2=0 for normal ordering andη1∈(3.44,10.37)°,η2=0 for inverted *** addition,the predictions for the effective neutrino masses are consistent with the pre sent experimental bounds.
