tensile deformation of fine-grained Mg at 4K,78K and 298K

the impact of grain size, ranging from 0.9 μm to 9 μm, on the mechanical properties of commercially pure Mg is investigated at temperatures of 4K, 78K, and 298K. the mechanisms governing plastic flow are influenced by both grain size and temperature. At 4K and 78K, dominant deformation modes in Mg involve dislocation glide and extension twinning, regardless of grain size. the interactions between basal and non-basal dislocations and dislocations with grain boundaries promote an unusually high rate of work hardening in the plastic regime, leading to premature failure. the yield stress follows the Hall-Petch relationship σy~ k/√d, with the slope k increasing with decreasing temperature. At 298K, in addition to dislocation glide and twinning, grain boundary sliding(GBS) becomes significant in samples with grain sizes below 3 μm, considerably enhancing the material's deformability. GBS activation provides an additional recovery mechanism for dislocations accumulating at grain boundaries, facilitating their absorption during sliding and rotation. Analysis of σ Θ relationship suggests that the basal slip is the dominant dislocation mode in Mg at 298K. decreasing grain size suppresses dislocation activity and twinning and increases GBS, resulting in lower Θ and σ Θ values. Suppressing conventional deformation modes coupled with enhanced GBS yields stress softening, breaking down the Hall-Petch relationship in Mg below 3 μm grain size, leading to an inverse Hall-Petch behaviour. the work reports new data on the strength, ductility, work hardening and fracture behaviour, and their variations with Mg grain size across different temperature regimes.

Comparative analysis of breast and lung cancer survival rates and clinical trial enrollments among rural and urban patients in Georgia

Objectives:Rural patients have poor cancer outcomes and clinical trial(Ct)enrollment compared to urban patients due to attitudinal,awareness,and healthcare access *** of cancer survival disparities and Ct enrollment is important for designing interventions and innovative approaches to address the stated *** study explores the potential disparities in cancer survival rates and clinical trial enrollments in rural and urban breast and lung cancer *** hypotheses are that for both cancer types,urban cancer patients will have longer 5-year survival rates and higher enrollment rates in clinical trials than those in rural ***:We compared breast and lung cancer patients’survival rates and enrollment ratios in clinical trials between rural(RUCC 4-9)and urban counties in Georgia at a Comprehensive Cancer Center(CCC).to assess these differences,we carried out a series of independent samples t-tests and Chi-Square ***:the outcomes indicate comparable 5-year survival rates across rural and urban counties for breast and lung cancer patients,failing to substantiate our *** clinical trial enrollment rates demonstrated a significant difference between breast and lung cancer patients at CCC,no significant variation was observed based on rural or urban ***:these findings underscore the need for further research into the representation of rural patients with diverse cancer types at CCC and other cancer ***,the findings have considerable implications for the initiation of positive social change to improve Ct participation and reduce cancer survival disparities.

Assessment of the Recent Hydromorphological Features of Nokoue Lake and Its Channels (South-East Benin)

Based on 2022 and 2023 hydrometric data and satellite images (Sentinel 2022, SPOt 2010), this study aims to present the Nokoué Lake and its channels’ re-cent hydromorphological characteristics. Integrating flow, tributary morphology, and topography data determined specific power values along the axes studied. the values obtained range from 2.69 to 12.92 W/m2 for Ouémé River and 2.46 to 10.99 W/m2 for Sô River. the resulting water erosion on banks and bottoms is of linear, areolar, or gully and claw types. Lake bathymetry varies from -0.5 to -2.6 m (low flow period) and -1 to -4 m;in the Ouémé, Sô, and totchè rivers, it varies from -5 m to -7 m, reaching -10 m at the Cotonou channel entrance (flood period). Bathymetric profiles reveal varied “U”, “V” and “Intermediate” bottom morphologies, influenced by erosion/sedimentation processes and human activities. the flow facies identified are lentic in the northern tributaries and lotic in the Cotonou and totchè canals. Spatial analysis identified nine (09) thematic classes. In 2022, the surface area of the water body has increased from 274 km2 at low water to 280 km2 at high water, whereas in 2010 (a recent year of exceptional flooding), the surface area was 270 km2 at low water and 277 km2 at high water. Significant changes in land use are observed between 2010 and 2022. the floodplain area decreased slightly, from 421 km2 in 2010 (year of exceptional flooding) to 419 km2 in 2022. the evolution of land use shows a progressive expansion of the urban environment to the detriment of the natural environment. In the medium to long term, this trend could threaten the hydromorphological balance and even the existence of this important lagoon ecosystem.

Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are nano-size vesicles secreted naturally by all cells into the extracellular space and have been recognized as important cell-cell mediators in multicel-lular *** contain nucleic acids,proteins,lipids,and other cellular components,regulating many basic biological processes and playing an important role in regenerative med-icine and *** can be traced to their cells of origin and exhibit a similar ***,EVs demonstrate low immunogenicity,good biocompatibility,and fewer side ef-fects,compared to their parent *** stem cells(MsCs)are one of the most important resource cells for EVs,with a great capacity for self-renewal and multipotent differ-entiation,and play an essential role in stem cell *** mechanism of MsC therapy was thought to be attributed to the differentiation of MsCs after targeted migration,as previously ***,emerging evidence shows the previously unknown role of MsC-derived para-crine factors in stem cell *** EVs derived from oral tissue MSCs(OMSC-EVs),show more advantages than those of all other MsCs in tissue repair and regeneration,due to their lower invasiveness and easier accessibility for sample ***,we systematically review the biogenesis and biological characteristics of OMSC-EVs,as well as the role of OMsC-EVs in intercellular ***,we discuss the potential therapeutic roles of OMSC-EVs in oral and systemic *** highlight the current challenges and future directions of OMSC-EVs to focus more attention on clinical *** aim to provide valuable insights for the explorative clinical application of OMSC-EVs.

为了研究未固结流砂储集层在采油过程中的出砂情况和影响出砂的主要因素,进行了不同条件下的出砂过程模拟实验。使用水洗白砂、黏土(高岭土)和蒸馏水制成未固结流砂地层模型,利用新开发的出砂模拟装置进行了模拟实验,并分析了作用于地层的拖曳力和地层胶结特征对出砂的影响。研究表明,随着拖曳力的增加,出砂速度和产油速度都加快;随着胶结物含量的增加,出砂量和产油量明显降低,甚至在胶结物含量较高的情况下出砂量几乎为零。地层压力大的油藏在开采期间由于产生了较大的拖曳力更可能出砂,而拖曳力和有效地层应力共同影响油藏的总体产油量。可以根据地层黏土含量估计出砂情况,从而通过采取适当的防砂措施尽可能减少出砂量。某些情况下油藏比气藏更容易出砂。

Converting tREx-RGB green-channel data to 557.7 nm auroral intensity:Methodology and initial results

the recently deployed transition Region Explorer(tREx)-RGB(red-green-blue)all-sky imager(ASI)is designed to capture“true color”images of the aurora and *** the 557.7 nm green line is usually the brightest emission line in visible auroras,the green channel of a tREx-RGB camera is usually dominated by the 557.7 nm *** this rationale,the tREx mission does not include a specific 557.7 nm imager and is designed to use the RGB green-channel data as a proxy for the 557.7 nm *** this study,we present an initial effort to establish the conversion ratio or formula linking the RGB green-channel data to the absolute intensity of 557.7 nm auroras,which is crucial for quantitative uses of the RGB *** illustrate two approaches:(1)through a comparison with the collocated measurement of green-line auroras from the tREx spectrograph,and(2)through a comparison with the modeled green-line intensity according to realistic electron precipitation flux measurements from low-Earth-orbit satellites,with the aid of an auroral transport *** demonstrate the procedures and provide initial results for the tREx-RGB ASIs at the Rabbit Lake and Lucky Lake *** RGB response is found to be *** conversion ratios or formulas between RGB green-channel data and the green-line auroral intensity are given and can be applied immediately by tREx-RGB data *** methodology established in this study will also be applicable to the upcoming SMILE ASI mission,which will adopt a similar RGB camera system in its deployment.

the spatiotemporal extension/expansion of mine areas is affected by multiple *** far,very little has been done to examine the interaction between mine areas and political or economic ***(ultra‐)mafic magmatic mines in China played a specific role in supporting national development and providing an ideal research subject for monitoring their *** this study,remote sensing and mining‐related GIS data were used to identify and analyze 1233(ultra‐)mafic magmatic mine area polygons in China,which covered approximately 322.96 km2 of land and included a V–ti–Fe mine,a copper–nickel mine,a chromite mine,an asbestos mine,and a diamond *** was found that(1)the areal expansion of mines is significantly related to the mine types,perimeter,topography,and population density.(2)the mine area variation also reflects market and policy *** temporal expansion of the mine area from 2010 to 2020 followed an S‐shaped pattern(with the turning point occurring in 2014),closely related to iron overcapacity and tightened mining policies.(3)the complexity(d)of the mine area may reflect mine design and excavation *** be specific,lower d indicates early‐stage or artisanal/small‐scale mining,whereas higher d represents large‐scale *** study demonstrates that the detailed mapping of mine land can serve as an indicator to implement miningrelated market and policy ***(ultra‐)mafic mines area data set can be accessed at https://***/record/7636616#.Y-p0uXaZOa0.

An experiment was conducted for studying the cluster structure of Be induced by He ions at an energy of 30 *** results of the nuclear reaction^(3)He+^(9)Be,the differential cross sections for the exit channels–elastic,inelastic,α+^(8)Be,^(6)He+^(6)Be,^(6)Li+^(6)Li,and^(7)Be+^(5)He–were *** and inelastic scattering data were treated within both the optical model and coupled channel method.A new set of optical potentials was considered for the elastic *** deformation parameter was established for the transition 3/2→5/*** transfer reactions were analyzed via the coupled reaction channel *** nuclear reactions with the exit channels^(6)He+^(6)Be,^(6)Li+^(6)Li,and^(7)Be+^(5)He were complemented by two-step transfer *** contribution of each reaction mechanism were shown and compared with the findings of other authors.

Radiative decays d*(s)→ d(s)γ in covariant confined quark model

Radiative decays d((s))*→d((s))γare revisited in light of new experimental data from the BaBar and BESⅢ*** radiative couplings gd*dγencoding nonperturbative QCd effects are calculated in the framework of the covariant confined quark model developed by *** compare our results with other theoretical studies and experimental *** couplings(in GeV-1)|g(d*+d+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(d*0d0γ)|=1.72(34)calculated in our model agree with the corresponding experimental data|g(d*+d+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(d*0d0γ)|=1.77(16).the most interesting case is the decay ds*→dsγ,for which a recent prediction based on light-cone sum rules at next-to-leading order|gds*dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattice QCd result|gds*dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our calculation yields|gds*dsγ|=0.29(6),which falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those predicted in other studies using quark models or QCd sum rules.
