Using a statistical method which is based on random matrix theory, the results for the nearest-neighbor energy spacing distributions E(S) obtained from experimental as well as from computational data have been selected for review study. The obtained results confirm that the energy spacing correlation between secondary charged particles depends upon the charged particles multiplicity and central collisions are also associated with charged particles multiplicity.

Rumex hastatus D. Don and Cytisus scoparius Linn. are medicinally important plants used in Ayurveda and food, areenriched with remarkable nervine, diuretic, sedative and various other therapeutic properties. In this study Soxhlet extractionproduces higher yield of seed extracts. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to determine fatty acid composition ofpetroleum ether extracts (PE). The major fatty acids were Linolenic acid 53.53% in R. hastatus and linoleic acid 59.42% in ***. Palmitic acid was also found in significant amount (16.58% and 19.33%) in R. hastatus and C. scoparius respectively. Thechloroform (RCF, CCF), ethyl acetate (REA, CEA), acetone (RAT, CAT) and methanol (RMT, CMT) extracts of R. hastaus and *** respectively, were examined for their antioxidant activity using 2,2-di-phenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), nitrobluetetrazolium (NBT), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), 2,2ˈ-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavengingassay and antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus by Agar disc diffusionmethod. All the extracts showed good radical scavenging and antibacterial activities compared to butylated hydroxyltoluene andstreptomycin respectively. However, dominant radical scavenging effect was observed at 100 μg/mL and 200 μg/mL concentrationsof extracts and dominant zone of inhibition was shown by CAT, CMT, RAT and REA extracts. This study exhibited beneficialproperties of these plants as an ingredient (unsaturated fatty acids) for the formulation of various functional foods and a source ofnatural antioxidant and antibacterial agents for drug, design and development.

One of the important research issues in wireless sensor networks(WSNs)is the optimal layout designing for the deployment of sensor *** directly affects the quality of monitoring,cost,and detection capability of *** optimization is an NP-hard combinatorial problem,which requires optimization of multiple competing objectives like cost,coverage,connectivity,lifetime,load balancing,and energy consumption of sensor *** the last decade,several meta-heuristic optimization techniques have been proposed to solve this problem,such as genetic algorithms(GA)and particle swarm optimization(PSO).However,these approaches either provided computationally expensive solutions or covered a limited number of objectives,which are combinations of area coverage,the number of sensor nodes,energy consumption,and *** this study,a meta-heuristic multi-objective firefly algorithm(MOFA)is presented to solve the layout optimization ***,the main goal is to cover a number of objectives related to optimal layouts of homogeneous WSNs,which includes coverage,connectivity,lifetime,energy consumption and the number of sensor *** results showed that MOFA created optimal Pareto front of non-dominated solutions with better hyper-volumes and spread of solutions,in comparison to multi-objective genetic algorithms(IBEA,NSGA-II)and particle swarm optimizers(OMOPSO,SMOPSO).Therefore,MOFA can be used in real-time deployment applications of large-scale WSNs to enhance their detection capability and quality of monitoring.
