Photoelectrochemical(PEC) water splitting is a promising technology for solar hydrogen production to build a sustainable, renewable and clean energy economy. Given the complexity of the PEC water splitting processes, it is important to note that developing in-situ techniques for studying PEC water splitting presents a formidable challenge. This review is aimed at highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each technique, while offering a pathway of potentially combining several techniques to address different aspects of interfacial processes in PEC water splitting. We reviewed recent progress in various techniques and approaches utilized to study PEC water splitting, focusing on spectroscopic and scanning-probe methods.

A new species of the agamid genus Japalura is described based on three specimens from southern part of Central Vietnam. It is distinguished from remaining congeners by the following combination of characters： adult size （SVL females 68-69 mm）, tail length/SVL ratio 226%-239%, HW/SVL ratio 17%-18%; FLL/SVL ratio 41%43%; HLL/SVL ratio 72%-73%; 7-9 supralabials, 7-9 infralabials, 54-56 middorsal scales, 20-22 lamellae under finger IV, 24-26 lamellae under toe IV, 1 scale between nasal and supralabials; tympanum concealed; absence of transverse gular fold. The geographical distribution of Japalura genus in general and of a new species in particular is discussed.

The defects created in commercial dental alloys during blasting with alumina particles propelled in compressed air under pressure 0.1 and 0.4 MPa have been studied using positron annihilation spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. It was observed that higher pressure causes the increase in roughness and damaged zone range. The type of defects was determined as vacancies on dislocations. The defect concentration decreases with the depth and depends on alloys' type and applied pressure. The Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy and variable energy positron beam studies indicate shallow alumina deposition in material and show that small pressure of 0.1 MPa is not enough to remove metal surface oxides completely in 60 s in all studied dental alloys.

Up to now, the reproductive biology of most species of the genus Boiga is investigated very little. Important data on the reproductive biology of Boiga guangxiensis were received by us for the first time. The investigations were carried out in Viet Nam during expeditions and in the laboratories of Tula Exotarium in the period between 1998-2000. The data on the feeding, egg size, incubation, size of hatchings, and juvenile colouration of this species are provided for the first time. In addition, the data on size and ratio of snout-vent length/tail length of this snake are provided based on the Vietnamese samples. our researches demonstrated that B. guangxiensis is distinguished from most other species of the genus by a number of peculiarities of its reproductive biology. Also, morphological differences between Chinese and Vietnamese individuals of this species were noted.

Well-known oil recovery factor estimation techniques such as analogy,volumetric calculations,material balance,decline curve analysis,hydrodynamic simulations have certain *** techniques are time-consuming,and require specific data and expert ***,though uncertainty estimation is highly desirable for this problem,the methods above do not include this by *** this work,we present a data-driven technique for oil recovery factor(limited to water flooding)estimation using reservoir parameters and representative *** apply advanced machine learning methods to historical worldwide oilfields datasets(more than 2000 oil reservoirs).The data-driven model might be used as a general tool for rapid and completely objective estimation of the oil recovery *** addition,it includes the ability to work with partial input data and to estimate the prediction interval of the oil recovery *** perform the evaluation in terms of accuracy and prediction intervals coverage for several tree-based machine learning techniques in application to the following two cases:(1)using parameters only related to geometry,geology,transport,storage and fluid properties,(2)using an extended set of parameters including development and production *** both cases,the model proved itself to be robust and *** conclude that the proposed data-driven approach overcomes several limitations of the traditional methods and is suitable for rapid,reliable and objective estimation of oil recovery factor for hydrocarbon reservoir.

The variability of vascular anatomy of the pancreas underlines the difficulty of its *** regarding the consistency of anatomical variations shows splenic arterial dominance in most *** can significantly improve transplantation success.A systematic literature review was performed according to the quality standards described in the AMSTAR measurement tool and the PRISMA *** valuated existing literature regarding the vascularization and blood perfusion patterns of the pancreas in terms of dominance and *** collected data was independently analyzed by two *** of vascular anatomy was seen to be underreported in literature,though significant findings have been included and discussed in this study,providing valuable insight into the dynamics of pancreatic perfusion and feasibility of transplantation on several different supplying *** splenic artery(SA)has a high percentage of consistency in all found studies(over 90%).High frequency of anastomoses between arterial pools supplying the pancreas can mediate sufficient blood supply through a dominant vessel,such as the SA,which is present in most *** transplantation with isolated SA blood supply can provide sufficient arterial perfusion of the pancreas for stable transplant viability due to high anatomical consistency of the SA and vast communications with other arterial systems.

Eukaryotic genomes encode thousands of non-coding RNAs （ncRNAs）, which play cru- cial roles in transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. Accumulating evidence indicates that ncRNAs, especially microRNAs （miRNAs） and long ncRNAs （lncRNAs）, have emerged as key regulatory molecules in plant stress responses. In this review, we have summa- rized the current progress on the understanding of plant miRNA and incRNA identification, characteristics, bioinformatics tools, and resources, and provided examples of mechanisms of miRNA- and lncRNA-mediated plant stress tolerance.
