Effective Opinion Spam Detection: A Study on Review Metadata Versus Content

Purpose:This paper aims to analyze the effectiveness of two major types of features—metadata-based(behavioral)and content-based(textual)—in opinion spam ***/methodology/approach:Based on spam-detection perspectives,our approach works in three settings:review-centric(spam detection),reviewer-centric(spammer detection)and product-centric(spam-targeted product detection).Besides this,to negate any kind of classifier-bias,we employ four classifiers to get a better and unbiased reflection of the obtained *** addition,we have proposed a new set of features which are compared against some well-known related *** experiments performed on two real-world datasets show the effectiveness of different features in opinion spam ***:Our findings indicate that behavioral features are more efficient as well as effective than the textual to detect opinion spam across all three *** addition,models trained on hybrid features produce results quite similar to those trained on behavioral features than on the textual,further establishing the superiority of behavioral features as dominating indicators of opinion *** features used in this work provide improvement over existing features utilized in other related ***,the computation time analysis for feature extraction phase shows the better cost efficiency of behavioral features over the *** limitations:The analyses conducted in this paper are solely limited to two wellknown datasets,viz.,Yelp Zip and Yelp NYC of *** implications:The results obtained in this paper can be used to improve the detection of opinion spam,wherein the researchers may work on improving and developing feature engineering and selection techniques focused more on metadata ***/value:To the best of our knowledge,this study is the first of its kind which considers three perspectives(review,reviewer and product-centric)and four classifiers to analyze the effecti

Hydrogen Bonded 3D Molecular Self Assembly Constructed from [(Ni(nicotinamide)_2(thiocyanate)_2(H_2O)_2] Complex Showing Spin Canted Anti-ferromagnetic Character

A new three-dimensional nickel（Ⅱ） hydrogen-bonded molecular self assembly containing [（Ni（nicotinamide）2（thiocyanate）2（H2O）2] complex has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,FTIR spectroscopy,thermal analysis and magnetic *** analysis reveals that the complex crystallizes in triclinic space group P1（crystal data a = 7.5574,b = 8.2683,c = 9.0056 A,α = 73.010,β = 69.698,γ = 66.51） and exhibits a distorted octahedral coordination *** interesting point in its structure is the involvement of sulphur atom of thiocyanate moiety in the trifurcated hydrogen bonding to build up the hydrogen-bonded self *** magnetic behavior as determined by squid magnetometer（2~300 K ***） reveals dominating antiferromagnetic interaction followed by spin canting behavior below 20 K.

Further contribution to the Neogene petrified wood forest of Mizoram, India

Mizoram, a state situated in the northeast corner of India, is very rich in fossil woods belonging to the Tipam Group(Late Miocene-Early Pliocene in age). Four new fossil woods, namely Swintonioxylon hailakandiense Prakash & Tripathi, Bombacacioxylon tertiarum mehrotra et al., gen. et sp. nov., Dipterocarpoxylon jammuense Guleria et al. and Bischofia palaeojavanica Awasthi are described from there. They resemble the modern taxa, namely Swintonia Griff.(Anacardiaceae), Dipterocarpus C.F. Gaertn.(Dipterocarpaceae), Bischofia Blume(Euphorbiaceae) and the taxa of the family Bombacaceae. The distribution of the modern equivalents of the present and previously described taxa indicates the existence of warm and humid climate in Mizoram during the depositional time.

Thermal stability and hydration behavior of ritonavir sulfate:A vibrational spectroscopic approach

Ritonavir sulfate is a protease inhibitor widely used in the treatment of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. In order to elucidate the inherent stability and sensitivity characteristics of ritonavir sulfate, it was investigated under forced thermal and hydration stress conditions as recommended by the Inter- national Conference on Harmonization guidelines. In addition, competency of vibrational （infrared and Raman） spectroscopy was assessed to identify structural changes of the drug symbolizing its stress degradation. High performance liquid chromatography was used as a confirmatory technique for both thermal and hydration stress study, while thermogravimetric analysis]differential thermal analysis and atomic force microscopy substantiated the implementation of vibrational spectroscopy in this frame- work. The results exhibited high thermal stability of the drug as significant variations were observed in the diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectra only after the drug exposure to thermal radiations at 100 ℃. Hydration behavior of ritonavir sulfate was evaluated using Raman spectroscopy and the value of critical relative humidity was found to be 〉 67%. An important aspect of this study was to utilize vibrational spectroscopic technique to address stability issues of pharmacological molecules, not only for their processing in pharmaceutical industry, but also for predicting their shelf lives and suitable storage conditions.

Introduction Patients with acute ischaemic strokes(AIS),on average,fare better with timely neurologist consultation,and a growing proportion of them receive ***,little is known about trends in the characteristics of neurologists who treat *** We identified AIS and transient ischaemic attack(TIA)episodes with neurologist consults in fee-for service Medicare from January 2008 to September *** each episode,we determined whether the neurologist was a vascular neurologist,was a high-volume provider,whether the patient was transferred between hospitals and the distance between the patient’s home and physician’s *** From 2008 to 2021,the share of AIS/TIA episodes(n=5073294)with neurologist consults increased(52.9%to 61.7%).Among episodes with consults,the fraction conducted by a vascular neurologist(5.2%to 13.7%)or by a high-volume neurologist(13.2%to 14.9%)also *** fraction with the patient’s home and neurologist greater than 100 miles apart(4.8%to 9.6%)or in different states(5.1%to 8.1%)increased,as did the fraction with transfers(4.2%to 8.5%).Discussion Over the study period,the proportion of AIS/TIA episodes with consultations from neurologists with either vascular neurology certifications or high volumes increased substantially.

AACA Element Negatively Regulates Expression of Protein Phosphatase 2C (<i>PP2C</i>) like Promoter in <i>Arabidopsis thaliana</i>

Genome wide analysis of Arabidopsis thaliana reveals a unique genetic arrangement of ACGT motif in the protein phosphatase 2C (PP2C) like promoter (accession number AT5G59220). In the present study, full length, 900 base pair, 500 base pair, 400 base pair and NRM deletion variants of PP2C like promoter were constructed to investigate the activity of PP2C like promoter in the presence of inducers like abscisic acid, jasmonic acid and salicylic acid. The PP2C promoter has three ACGT elements in close vicinity. They are so positioned that they are separated by a spacer of 30 base pair and 5 base pair respectively from each other. The study has shown that ACGTN30ACGT genetic architecture is essential for the promoter to be induced in response to abscisic acid. The synergistic and antagonistic effects of cis elements were observed. AACA is a positive regulatory element in endosperm and is known to act as negative regulatory element in other tissues. In this study AACA, have been found to negatively regulate the expression of reporter gene EGFP in both induced and under uninduced conditions.
