Experimental studies and artificial neural network modeling of surface tension of aqueous sodium L-prolinate solutions and piperazine blends

The surface tension study is very crucial for the design of CO2 gas absorption contacting equipment. The significance of the surface tension has been increasing due to its consideration in various technological fields. This property influences the mass transfer and hydrodynamics of gas absorption systems, mainly multiphase systems, in which the interface between gas and liquid exists. Therefore, in this study, surface tension of aqueous solutions of sodium L-prolinate(SP) and piperazine(PZ) blends were measured at ten different temperatures from(298.15 to 343.15) K. The SP mass fractions were 0.10, 0.20, and 0.30;while the mass fractions of PZ were 0.02 and 0.05. The experimental results showed that the surface tension increase with increasing the mass fractions of SP and PZ in aqueous blends, and decrease linearly with rising temperature. The experimental data of surface tension were correlated by two empirical correlations as a function of temperature and mass fractions for estimating the predicted data using the optimized correlation coefficients. moreover, the modeling of surface tension data was carried out using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) approach. The results obtianed from ANN modeling were compared with applied empirical correlation. It was found that the ANN approach outperformed the empirical correlation used in this study. Besides, a quantitative analysis of variation(ANOVA) was performed in order to determine the significance of data. The surface tension of aqueous SP and SP + PZ was also compared with various conventional solvents.

mechanical models of residually stressed fibre-reinforced solids,which do not resist bending,have been developed in the ***,in some residually stressed fibre-reinforced elastic solids,resistance to fibre bending is significant,and the mechanical behavior of such solids should be ***,in this paper,we model the mechanical aspect of residually stressed elastic solids with bending stiffness due to fibre curvature,which up to the authors’knowledge has not been mechanically modeled in the *** proposed constitutive equation involves a nonsymmetric stress and a couple-stress *** invariants are used in the constitutive equation,where each spectral invariant has an intelligible physical meaning,and hence they are useful in experiment and analysis.A prototype strain energy function is ***,we use this prototype to give results for some cylindrical boundary value problems.

The application of swirl tube cyclone for gas-liquid separation is attractive due to its small size and weight. However, very scarce information on the performance of the swirl tube cyclone especially at high operating pressure emulating actual field condition was published in journals. Performance assessment was usually done at a low operating pressure using either air-water, air-fine particle mixtures or dense gas such as SF6 . This paper fills the existing gaps and reports the initial findings on the performance assessment of a horizontal swirl tube cyclone for gas-liquid separation operating at a flow rate of 5 mmSCFD at 40-60 bar operating pressure.

The modification of asphalt binder with natural rubber latex(NR)significantly improves the rutting and fatigue resistance of asphalt ***,NR-modified binder is prone to low workability and wettability due to its high ***,this research focuses on examining the influences of silane and wax-based additives on the wettability of natural rubber-modified binders and the binder-aggregates adhesion *** this study,experimental and analytical approaches were *** contact angles of asphalt binder were measured using a goniometer through the sessile drop method with three solvents:deionised water,formamide,and *** Cþþalgorithm was adopted to compute the surface free energy(SFE)elements of the asphalt *** methods were employed to analyse the results based on the Young-Dupre equation,followed by linear regression to establish a correlation between the compatibility ratio(CR)and the SFE *** results inferred that modified asphalt binders with additives possessed improved moisture resistance,wherein dry work adhesion values were less than 210 mJ/m^(2)under granite interfaces,whereas the limestone interface exhibited higher dry adhesion values of 340 mJ/m^(2)and *** performance results were observed under wet adhesion conditions;with granite wet adhesive values observed below 120 mJ/m^(2),while limestone wet adhesion values were ascertained below 180 mJ/m^(2)for all tested samples and *** to the spread–ability coefficient results,the limestone interface has greater spread-ability than granite ***,compatibility ratio values indicated better compatibility of 1.9 or higher for tested samples under granite interfaces,whereas compatibility values of 1.7 and below were observed under limestone interfaces.

For the model of a Closed Phase Locked Loop (CPLL) communication System consists of both the transmission and receiver ends. This model is considered to be in a multi-order intermittent chaotic state. The chaotic signals are then synchronized along side with our system. This chaotic synchronization will be demonstrated and furthermore, a modulation will be formed to examine the system if it will perfectly reconstruct or not. Finally we will demonstrate the synchronization conditions of the system.

micro electro mechanical systems are studied in this paper along to comparing the design, fabrication, and operation of such devices especially in the electronic industry. The advancements of such systems are important as scale reduction is becoming more economical and also in heat dissipation efficiencies. Furthermore, the fabrication techniques are becoming more of a challenge in today’s industrial market. In this paper we will introduce a comparative study of experimental research in the micro scale heat exchanger with varieties of industrial application primarily cooling integrated circuits. Significant effect in the process of cooling electronic devices has showed experimentally that scale variations impact into this improvement. Numerical studies have been a leading technique in the development of thermal systems especially at the micro or small scales which helps the industry to cut cost and provide innovative products at high efficiencies. There are so many approaches to numerical analysis and research, where the availability of ready to use software and data acquisition modules is variant. material selection is also a variable in the efficiency and operations of these micro channel thermal system and heat exchangers.

In this study,?a 2-D mHD free convection incompressible electrically induced boundary layer analysis on a water/nano-fluidic mixture. The ODE solution is numerically analyzed with a Runge-Kutta model as the thermophysical properties on a magnetic variation as well as temperature ranges of buoyancy effects on the T and V profiles and the wall force friction on the flow is also studied. The temperature and velocity gradients have a significant differential change is been observed in this study.

Solar powered cold water dispenser apparatus is fabricated and experimental results are shown in this work. The system contains solar panels, two low energy fans, water tank fabricated from clay (pottery), thermally sealed box, and pipes. Once these contents are connected together, testing was conducted on water temperatures at both ends. The preliminary results showed a drop in temperature of around 15℃. This is achieved by utilizing free power from the sun.

In this paper, we aim to control an instable chaotic oscillation in power system that is considered to be small system by using a linear state feedback controller. First we will analyze the stability of the mentioned power system by means of modern nonlinear theory (Bifurcation and Chaos). Our model is based on a three bus power system that consists of multi generators containing both dynamic and static loads. They are considered to be in the form of an induction motor in parallel with a capacitor, as well as a combination of constant power along with load impedance, PQ. We consider the load reactive power as the control parameter. At this stage, after changing the control parameter, the study showed that the system is experiencing a subcritical Hopf bifurcation point. This leads to a chaos within the system period doubling path. We then discuss the system controllability and present that the all chaotic oscillations fade away through the linear controller that we impose on the system.
