We present a new method for determining the age and relative contribution of different stellar populations in galaxies based on the genetic *** apply this method to the barred spiral galaxy NGC 3384,using CCD images in U,B,V,R and I *** analysis indicates that the galaxy NGC 3384 is mainly inhabited by old stellar population(age〉10^9 yr).Some problems were encountered when numerical simulations are used for determining the contribution of different stellar populations in the integrated color of a *** results show that the proposed genetic algorithm can search efficiently through the very large space of the possible ages.

Structural Elucidation of the Polymeric Condensed Tannins of Acacia nilotica Subspecies by ^(13)C NmR, mALDI-TOF and TmA as Sources of Bioadhesives

Tannin was extracted from different subspecies of Acacia nilotica,Acacia nilotica nilotica(Ann),Acacia nilotica tomentosa(Ant)and Acacia nilotica adansonii(Ana).The aim was to elucidate their structure and evaluate their reactivity as bioadhesives in the wood *** extracts were prepared by hot water extraction(90°C tem-perature).Their gel time with paraformaldehyde was used atﬁrst to compare their *** tannin contents and the percentage of total polyphenolic materials in different solutions of the extracts spray dried powder were determined by the hide powder *** solutions(47%)were tested by both mALDI ToF,*** thermomechanical analysis(TmA)was performed to evaluate their modulus of elasticity(mOE)at different *** gel times of all the three tannin extracts showed that their reactivity and it was com-parable to other known procyanidin/prodelphinidin tannin extract ***,Ann and Ant showed highest per-cent of total polyphenolic materials at 70%,64%,and 57%,*** 13CNmR spectra showed that the three subspecies of condensed tannins were mainly constituted of procyanidins(PC)and prodelphinidins(PD)in slightly different ***(56.5%PC and 43.4%PD),Ant(57%PC and 43%PD)and Ana(58%PC and 42%PD).mALDI–TOF spectra showed the presence ofﬂavonoid monomers,and oligomers some of which linked to short carbohydrates monomers or *** revealed that the three types of tannins had high mOE at their initial pH(5).

A Comprehensive Analysis of the Thermo-Chemical Properties of Sudanese Biomass for Sustainable Applications

The chemical composition and thermal properties of natural fibers are the most critical variables that determine the overall properties of the fibers and influence their processing and use in different sustainable applications,such as their conversion into bioenergy and *** thermal and mechanical properties can be estimated by evaluating the content of cellulose,lignin,and other extractives in the *** this research work,the chemical composition and thermal properties of three fibers,namely bagasse,kenaf bast fibers,and cotton stalks,were evaluated to assess their potential utilization in producing biocomposites and bioenergy *** chemical composition analysis followed the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry Standards(TAPPI)*** total phenol content was quantified using the Folin-Ciocalteu method,while Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)was employed to assess the light absorption by the *** evaluate thermal stability and higher heating values,Thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA),Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC),and bomb calorimetry were *** chemical analysis revealed that bagasse contained 50.6%cellulose and 21.6%lignin,kenaf bast fibers had 58.5%cellulose and 10%lignin,and cotton stalks exhibited 40.3%cellulose and 21.3%*** FTIR curves demonstrated a notable similarity among the *** TGA analysis showed degradation temperatures of 321°C for bagasse,354°C for kenaf bast fibers,and 289°C for cotton *** DSC analysis revealed glass transition temperatures of 81°C for bagasse,66.3°C for cotton stalks,and 64.5°C for kenaf bast *** higher heating values were measured as 17.3,16.6 and 17.1 mJ/kg for bagasse,kenaf bast fibers,and cotton stalks,*** three fibers have a high potential for biocomposites and bioenergy material manufacturing.

Combustion characteristics of low-quality lignite for different bed material sphericities in a circulating fluidized bed boiler:A numerical study

This study delves into the combustion behavior of various lignite types within a circulating fluidized bed boiler(CFBB),with a primary focus on the impact of different bed material sphericity ratios(0.5,0.7,and 0.9).Utilizing bed material with a sphericity ratio of 0.9 sourced from theÇan power plant and verified through experimentation,the research reveals several key ***,furnace temperatures tended to rise with higher sphericity ratios,albeit with variations between lignite types,particularly highlighting the complexity of this relationship in the case of GLI-Tunçbilek *** levels in the combustion chamber remained consistent across different sphericity ratios,indicating minimal influence on pressure *** combustion efficiency,especially at the bottom of the boiler,was observed at lower sphericity levels(0.5 and 0.7)forÇan lignite,as reflected in CO_(2) mole *** NO_(x) emissions generally decreased with lower sphericity,the sensitivity to sphericity varied by lignite type,with Ilgın lignite showcasing low NO_(x) but high SO_(2) emissions,underscoring the intricate interplay between lignite properties,sphericity,and ***,this study advances our understanding of CFBB combustion dynamics,offering insights valuable for optimizing performance and emissions control,particularly in lignite-based power.

Coupling coordinated development among digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment:A case study in the Hangzhou metropolitan Circle,China

Coordinative development across various systems,particularly the economic,social,cultural,and human resources subsystems,is a key aspect of urban sustainability and has a direct impact on the quality of *** Hangzhou metropolitan Circle,comprising Hangzhou City,Huzhou City,Jiaxing City,and Shaoxing City,was the first metropolitan circle approved by the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC)as a demonstration of economic transformation in *** evaluate the coupling coordination degree of the four cities and analyze the coordinative development in three systems(including digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment),we collected panel data during 2015–2022 from these four *** development level of the three systems was evaluated by the standard deviation method and comprehensive development *** results are as follows:(1)the level of coupling coordinated development of the three systems in the Hangzhou metropolitan Circle was relatively low;(2)the coupling coordination degree of the four cities in the Hangzhou metropolitan Circle showed significant regional differences,among which Hangzhou City was in the leading position,and Huzhou,Jiaxing,and Shaoxing cities made steady but slow progress in the coupling development of the three systems;and(3)the development of digital economy and talent employment needs to be *** study contributes to the coordinative development of Hangzhou metropolitan Circle by innovatively focusing on the coupling coordination relationship among digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment,which also meets the industrial layout of Hangzhou metropolitan *** this way,the optimal allocation and sustainable development of digital economy,regional innovation,and talent employment in the Hangzhou metropolitan Circle can be achieved.

Pre-sowing mechanical tillage in crop fields is a primary task and important aspect of crop *** interaction between the tillage components and the soil plays a crucial role in determining the energy consumption of tillage ***,it is essential to investigate soil-tool interaction mechanisms and optimize tool design for energy savings in soil *** study employed the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics(SPH)method to investigate the soil cutting process of a typical rotary *** article describes the principles and modeling process of the SPH method in *** includes the selection of constitutive models,boundary treatments,and particle conversion.A high-precision soil-tool interaction model was established to analyze the deformation zone of the soil,cutting energy,cutting resistance,and soil particle *** simulation experiments and response surface methodology were used to optimize key design parameters of the rotary blade considering both the reduction in cutting power consumption and the impact on the structural performance of the *** optimal parameters were determined as follows:a bending point included angle of 30°,a side cutting edge bending line direction angle of 51°,and a bending angle of 120°.These parameters resulted in a minimum power consumption of 0.181 kW while meeting the required structural ***,experiments were conducted on field rotary tillage,and the measured power consumption showed a deviation of 7.1%from the simulated power *** optimized power consumption was reduced by 9.52%compared to the initial power consumption,validating the accuracy of the simulation process and the effectiveness of energy savings.
