At present,the prediction of brain tumors is performed using machine Learning(mL)and Deep Learning(DL)*** various mL and DL algorithms are adapted to predict brain tumors to some range,some concerns still need enhancement,particularly accuracy,sensitivity,false positive and false negative,to improve the brain tumor prediction system ***,this work proposed an Extended Deep Learning Algorithm(EDLA)to measure performance parameters such as accuracy,sensitivity,and false positive and false negative *** addition,these iterated measures were analyzed by comparing the EDLa.m.thod with the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)way further using the SPSS tool,and respective graphical illustrations were *** results were that the mean performance measures for the proposed EDLA algorithm were calculated,and those measured were accuracy(97.665%),sensitivity(97.939%),false positive(3.012%),and false negative(3.182%)for ten *** in the case of the CNN,the algorithm means accuracy gained was 94.287%,mean sensitivity 95.612%,mean false positive 5.328%,and mean false negative 4.756%.These results show that the proposed EDLa.m.thod has outperformed existing algorithms,including CNN,and ensures symmetrically improved *** EDLA algorithm introduces novelty concerning its performance and particular activation *** proposed method will be utilized effectively in brain tumor detection in a precise and accurate *** algorithm would apply to brain tumor diagnosis and be involved in various medical diagnoses *** the quantity of dataset records is enormous,then themethod’s computation power has to be updated.

Characterization and separation of pyrite from Abu Tartur black shale

This work a.m.d for pyrite separation from Abu Tartur black shale as a source of sulfur to be an added economic value of Abu Tartur area. The considered samples in the present work were collected from a core drilled in Abu Tartur plateau representing the pyrite-rich black shale of the U. Cretaceous age, Sample characterization was carried out using petrographic microscope, XRD, DTA/DTG, C/S and XRF techniques. Clay minerals, silt-sized quartz, calcite, and hematite were the main minerals associating pyr- ite （5.34g）. Liberation behavior of the sample was about 80% below 5 μm. Sample processing was achieved through one-day soaking followed by classification using I inch mozley hydro-cyclone where about 35.5% by weight went to underflow and 64.5% went to overflow. The underflow product was subjected to an advanced gravity separation process using SB-40 Falcon Concentrator through a CCD statistical design prepared by Design-Expert 6.0 software proposed to opti- mize the separation process through a study for the effects of frequency （Hz） and water pressure （Psi） on both assay and recovery of the sulfur-rich heavy fraction. A heavy concentrate weighed 10.90% with inorganic sulfur content reached 11.37% （21.24% pyrite） with overall recovery （50.01%） was obtained after two cleaning at the optimum conditions.

Ga.m.-ray measurements of natural radioactivity in sedimentary rocks from Egypt

The a.m.of this study was to measure concentrations and distributions of natural radionuclides occurring in rocks. The activity concentrations (Bq·kg-1) of the naturally occurring radionuclides 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K in sedi- mentary rock samples from Eastern Desert (Um el-Huetat), Nile Valley (Gebel Owina) and from southwest Sinai (Wadi Ghweiba) were measured using a high-purity germanium detector. The samples under investigation (clay, shale and sandstone) were used as raw materials in the construction industry (bricks, ceramics, cement, fillers, etc.). Though the sediments of Egypt have already been investigated in the geological and mineralogical aspects, it is necessary to investigate the natural radioactivity in order to complete their classification. The average concentration values of 226Ra, 232Th, 40K in the surveyed samples were 47 ± 7 , 21± 5, 393±19 ***-1 (clay); 23 ± 5, 30 ± 6, 563 ± 24 ***-1 (shale); and 17 ± 4, 14 ± 4, 299 ± 17 ***-1 (sandstone), respectively. All sediment samples have radium equivalent activities ranging from 55 to 115 Bq·kg-1, lower than the limit set in the OECD Report (370 Bq·kg-1). The overall mean outdoor terrestrial ga.m. dose rates fluctuate from 28 to 55 nGy·h-1. The external ga.m. radiation dose due to natural radionuclides present in the samples have been computed and compared with the global averages. In terms of the radiation safety, the natural radioactivity of the sediment in Egypt is below the recommended limits of the ga.m. dose rate. Therefore, they can be used for all kinds of public buildings.

Parabens are antimicrobial preservatives with extensive applications in cosmetics,toiletries,pha.m.ceuticals,and *** the legitimate concerns relating to their potential to disrupt multiple endocrine functions,it becomes imperative to prioritize the development of innovative bioanalytical techniques for effectively monitoring their presence in biological *** this study,an efficient solvent bar microextraction(SBmE)was established,utilizing new hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents(DEs)to determine methylparaben and propylparaben in urine and pla.m. *** DEs comprising menthol and tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(m-TEHP)at various molar ratios were synthesized for the first time to enhance the extraction capacity and promote the eco-friendliness of the DE used as an extraction ***-transform infrared(FT-IR)and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NmR)spectroscopies were employed to confirm and investigate the properties of the successful synthesis(m-TEHP)DE at a.m.lar ratio of 1:*** synthesized DE exhibits low microbial toxicity and can be considered an eco-friendly solvent for ***,quantum-chemical calculations were utilized to predict synthesized DE's structure and interaction energy with selected *** influential operational factors of DE-SBmE on the extraction efficiency(EE%)of both parabens were evaluated using response surface methodology based on central composite design,and a total of 30 extraction tests were conducted to determine the optimal *** optimized DE-SBmE,in combination with HPLC-DAD,exhibited low detection limits(0.54–0.91μg L^(−1)),excellent linearity(R^(2)≥0.9993),precise results(RSDs≤7.6%),satisfactory recoveries(92–97%)and negligible matrix ***,it had remarkable effectiveness and applicability in determining selected parabens in real urine and pla.m. samples.

Natural ray-emitting radionuclides in Egyptian cement

Samples of cement manufactured in Egypt and the raw materials have been analyzed usingga.m.-spectroscopy, in order to determine the concentration of natural radionuclides and associated radiologicalhazard. The mean of specific activity due to radionuclides of 226 Ra, 232 Th and 40 K was found to be (20±4), (11± 2),(320±18) (gypsum), (41±8), (27±5), (410±27) (clay), (58±11), (18±3), (321±20) (iron ore) and (37.6±6), (11.8±3),(178.6±15) Bq?kg -1 (Portland cement), respectively. 40 K concentration could not be detected in slag, limestone, sul-phateresistant cement (S.R.C.), clinker and white cement, while the mean specific activities of 226 Ra and 232 Th are(239±16), (48.7±7); (31.5±5), (10±2); (47±7), (20±5); (23±5), (10.4±3) and (23±5), (11±3) Bq?kg -1 , respectively. Theactivities (concentrations) are in the same range as the data released in other countries. The calculated radiation haz-ardparameters for all the samples are still lower than the acceptable values in Egypt and other countries.

Uncovering the dominant contribution of intermediate volatility compounds in secondary organic aerosol formation from biomass-burning emissions

Organic vapors from biomass burning are a.m.jor source of secondary organic aerosols(SOAs). Previous smog chamber studies found that the SOA contributors in biomass-burning emissions are mainly volatile organic compounds(VOCs). While intermediate volatility organic compounds(IVOCs) are efficient SOA precursors and contribute a considerable fraction of biomass-burning emissions, their contribution to SOA formation has not been directly observed. Here, by deploying a newly-developed oxidation flow reactor to study SOA formation from wood burning, we find that IVOCs can contribute ～70% of the formed SOA, i.e.>2 times more than VOCs. This previously missing SOA fraction is interpreted to be due to the high wall losses of semi-volatile oxidation products of IVOCs in smog chambers. The finding in this study reveals that SOA production from biomass burning is much higher than previously thought, and highlights the urgent need for more research on the IVOCs from biomass burning and potentially other emission sources.

Ultralong hydroxyapatite-based forward osmosis membrane for freshwater generation

Increasing global water shortages are accelerating the pace of membrane manufacturing,which generates many environmentally ha.m.ul *** challenges need a radical rethink of developing innovative membranes that can address freshwater production without generating environmentally ha.m.ul *** work utilized the synthesized ultra-long hydroxyapatite(UHA)by the solvothermal method using the green solvent oleic acid in preparing UHA-based forward osmosis *** membranes were developed using different loading ratios of graphene oxide(GO)by vacuum-assisted filtration *** prepared GO/UHa.m.mbranes were identified using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron *** contact angle and pore size distribution were determined for the obtained GO/UHA *** obtained hierarchical porous structure in the prepared membranes with interconnected channels results in a stable water flux with reverse salt *** best water flux rate of 42±2 L·m^(–2)·h^(–1)was achieved using the 50 mg GO/UHa.m.mbrane,which is 3.3 times higher than the pristine membrane,and a reverse salt flux of 67 g·m^(-2)·h^(–1).The obtained results showed a promising capability of a new generation of sustainable inorganic-based membranes that can be utilized in freshwater generation by energy-efficient techniques such as forward osmosis.

The exploration of ethane(C_(2)H_(6))-selective porous materials for the direct production of polymer-grade ethylene(C_(2)H_(4))from a C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) mixture in a single energy-saving adsorption step is of utmost importance but remains a significant ***,developing robust C_(2)H_(6)-selective adsorbents with high C_(2)H_(6) capacity and C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) selectivity is urgently needed for industrial *** this study,we have successfully designed and synthesized two novel calix[4]resorcinarene-based porous organic cages(POCs)named CPOC-501 and *** POCs were formed via a Schiff-base reaction involving face-directed[6+8]condensation between a bowlshaped tetratopic tetraformylcalix[4]resorcinarene and triangular tritopic amine *** using single crystal X-ray crystallography revealed that both cages possess large truncated octahedral cavities with a volume of approximately 6500Å3 and 12 accessible rhombic windows with a side length of approximately 10.5Å.Furthermore,the cages exhibited excellent chemical stability under neutral,acidic,and basic conditions and high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller specific surface areas of up to 2175 m^(2) g^(−1) after *** POCs demonstrated superior adsorption capabilities for C_(2)H_(6) over C_(2)H_(4).Notably,CPOC-502 exhibited a C_(2)H_(6) capacity and C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) selectivity of 83 cm^(3) g^(−1) and 2.83,respectively,surpassing most of the best-performing C_(2)H_(6)-selective porous organic materials reported to ***,breakthrough experiments confirmed that both cages efficiently produced polymer-grade C_(2)H_(4)(>99.9%)directly from the C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) mixture,highlighting their outstanding recyclability.
