The commercial greenhouse is one of the most effective cultivation methods with a yield per cultivated area up to 10 times more than free land cultivation but the use of fossil fuels in this production field is very *** objectives of this paper are to modeling and experimental evaluation of heat and mass transfer functions in an innovative solar greenhouse with thermal *** this propose,a semi-solar greenhouse was designed and constructed at the North-West of Iran in Azerbaijan Province(38100N and 46180E with elevation of 1364 m above the sea level).The inside environment factors include inside air temperature below screen(Ta),inside air temperature above screen(Tas),crop temperature(Tc),inside soil temperature(Ts),cover temperature(Tri)and thermal screen temperature(Tsc)were collected as the experimental data *** dynamic heat and mass transfer model used to estimate the temperature in six different points of the semi-solar greenhouse with initial values and consider the crop *** results showed that dynamic model can predict the inside temperatures in four different points(Ta,Tc,Tri,Ts)with MAPE,RMSE and EF about 5-7%,1-2℃ and 80-91%for greenhouse without thermal screen and about 3-7%,0.6-1.8C and 89-96%for six different points of greenhouse with thermal screen(Ta,Tc,Tri,Ts,Tas,Tsc),*** results of using thermal screen at night(12 h)in autumn showed that this method can decrease the use of fossil fuels up to 58%and so decrease the final cost and air *** movable insulation caused about 15℃ difference between outside and inside air temperature and also made about 6℃ difference between Ta and *** experimental results showed that inside thermal screen can decrease the crop temperature fluctuation at night.

高盐度碱度对全球许多地区来说都是一个严重问题,它会对土壤的物理化学性质产生负面影响,例如低渗透性、通风不良和水资源可用性降低,并最终影响农业生产。为了改善土壤质量,通常需要通过淋滤降低盐分碱度;但较差的土壤性质,如低渗透性,使盐浸过程非常无效。江苏新开垦沿海地区的高盐含量限制了其农业生产作用。通常需要几年的时间通过淋滤来改善这类土壤,以释放土壤中的可溶性盐。盐分随排水的淋溶缓慢,导致土壤结构不良。为此,为了加快土壤中盐分的淋溶效率,改善土壤结构,需要将有机质和化学改良剂结合起来。在这些改良剂中,石膏是一种常见的化学改良剂,被广泛用于改善盐碱土的物理化学性质,因为它含有足够的钙来去除根区的交换性钠,而且它相对便宜、普遍可用且易于使用。许多研究发现,电导率发生了积极的变化,大部分可交换钠从土壤中去除,增加了土壤渗透性,降低了容重,改善了絮凝作用,减少了粘土分散。施用钙(Ca+2)可以改善土壤的物理化学性质,并作为土壤改良剂,防止钠(Na+)的积累,而钠(Na+)与植物生长和作物产量直接相关。利用稻草可以将农业副产品转化为水稻产区宝贵且廉价的有机资源。将稻草还田并覆盖土壤表面,可以通过溶解土壤中的Ca+2化合物来帮助恢复盐碱土。它还可以有效地减少蒸发和盐分积累,保持土壤水分,增加土壤充足的持水能力,增加土壤通气量,降低土壤容重和总孔隙度。稻草降低了盐分,增加了 k+、Ca+2,显著影响了水稻的增产。多项研究表明,在石膏中添加稻草对降低ECe、pH、SAR和ESP的影响相对较大。在沿海地区和干旱地区改良盐碱土的研究较多,但在新开垦的沿海地区快速改良重盐碱土的研究较少。一些研究是在可控的实验室条件下进行的,使用渗滤柱定量测定渗滤液中可溶阳离子的浓度。由于在现场条件下很难量化溶质运动的空间和时间量化,使用渗滤柱的实验室实验在测量渗滤液水中溶解阳离子的浓度及其时间变化方面具有优势。本研究在中国扬州市扬州大学农业水土环境与生态实验室进行了渗透柱和实验。利用渗滤柱比较和评估了石膏和稻草作为单独和联合施用对提高新开垦沿海地区重盐碱土盐分淋洗效率的效果。这项研究假设,石膏和稻草的联合施用以及随后的水浸在提高盐浸效率方面更有效。通过渗滤柱实验,评价渗滤液溶液中EC和溶解阳离子(Ca2+、Mg2+、k+、Na+)的变化,以及土壤ECe、交换阳离子(Ca2+、Mg2+、k+、Na+)和土壤SAR的变化,本实验研究可为新开垦沿海地区的土壤盐渍化治理提供理论依据和技术支持。本论文的主要研究内容如下:1.通过研究样本土壤,评估施用石膏和稻草堆肥及其不同组合在盐碱土复垦中的潜力和有效性。2.确定改进浸出过程的最佳修正量。1.研究方法1)研究区和土壤性质在中国江苏省东台市济钢镇(北纬32°51′ 44″,东经120° 53′ 47″)两垛河与临海高等级公路交汇处东南侧的一个农业种植园中采集表层土样品(0-30cm)。这是一个平坦的地区,地面海拔约为海平面以上3.7米。该地区平均气温为14.8℃,年平均降雨量为1052.0毫米。重盐渍土具有粉壤土质地2)实验装置及步骤实验于2020年8月至2021年3月在中国扬州市扬州大学的水力与能源动力工程实验室进行。土壤样品风干,捣碎以粉碎土块,并在填充渗透柱之前通过2 mm的筛子。然后将土壤质地划分为粉壤土质地。在渗滤柱中填充土壤后,收集8个土壤样本(柱表面0-20厘米),每个样本约50克,然后测量电导率、pH值、交换性阳离子和土壤吸附率。使用八根直径为19厘米、高85厘米的PVC柱。底部设置一层5cm粗砂,以便于流动和防止堵塞,同时在过滤层上放置一根直径为50mm的波纹管,以帮助排水。塑料管是自下而上安装的,用来测量头部压力,随着时间的推移,塑料管在一定程度上有助于去除微小的气穴。本研究采用马尔可夫瓶法维持10cm恒定地表水,防止溢流。在填充到柱中之前,将土壤均匀混合并湿润,以获得1.30(g cm-3)的均匀堆积密度,并避开任何气穴。在填充之前,使用润滑剂使柱内壁粗糙,使土壤和柱壁紧密结合。在每根柱子中,设置一层密度为1.3的60 cm填充土,每20 cm搅拌和压实一次,并刷表面以防止分层。填充柱后,土壤高度为60cm,孔隙度约为50.9%。采用随机分组设计,共设计八个渗滤柱,每个柱有两个重复。采用了四种处理方法:1)对照(不施用石膏或稻草堆肥)(CT);2)稻草;3)石膏(GPS);4)石膏加稻草(GRS+RS)。石膏和稻草被混合到表层土中。每个土柱最初用20升2mol L/-1 NaCr溶液饱和,以确保盐度分布均匀。然后用淡水(EC=0.364 dS m-1)淋洗土壤。根据孔隙体积(PV)计算浸出水量:每个柱的孔体积为8.47 dm3。渗滤液样本收集在瓶子中进行分析。在每一次孔隙体积淋洗之间都会有一段休息时间,以便盐分

Rocket “Eruca sativa”:A salad herb with potential gastric anti-ulcer activity

AIM： To validate gastric anti-ulcer properties of Rocket ＂Eruca sativa＂ on experimentally-induced gastric secretion and ulceration in albino rats. METHODS： Gastric acid secretion studies were undertaken using pylorus-ligated rats. Gastric lesions in the rats were induced by noxious chemicals including ethanol, strong a.k.lis, indomethacin and hypothermic restraint stress. The levels of gastric wall mucus （GWM）, nonprotein sulfhydryls （NP-SH） and malondialdehyde （MDA） were also measured in the glandular stomach of rats following ethanol administration. The gastric tissue was also examined histologically. The extract was used in two doses （250 and 500 mg/kg body weight） in all experiments. RESULTS： In pylorus-ligated Shay rats, the ethanolic extract of Rocket ＂Eruca sativa L.＂（EER） significantly and dose-dependently reduced the basal gastric acid secretion, titratable acidity and ruminal ulceration. Rocket extract significantly attenuated gastric ulceration induced by necrotizing agents （80% ethanol, 0.2 mol/L NaOH, 25% NaCl）, indomethacin and hypothermic restraint stress. The anti-ulcer effect was further confirmed histologically. On the other hand, the extract significantly replenished GWM and NP-SH levels, as well as the MDA level significantly reduced by extract pretreatment. CONCLUSION： Rocket extract possesses antisecretory, cytoprotective, and anti-ulcer activities against experimentally-induced gastric lesions. The anti-ulcer effect is possibly through prostaglandinmediated activity and/or through its anti-secretory and antioxidant properties.

Characterization of Elastic Modulus of Granular Materials in a New Designed Uniaxial Oedometric System

A simple uniaxial oedometric system is developed to test the elastic modulus of granular materials. The stress- strain relationship is first measured under conditions of uniaxial compression with additional lateral stress and strain, then the elastic modulus of the material is determined by the linear fitting method. It is found that the modulus is positively correlated to the grain size and negatively correlated to the container size. Arching and dragging are revealed to be the mechanism of such correlations by using the digital image correlation method and the pressure film technology based on the statistical method.

Malaria is highly prevalent in Nigeria and accounts for approximately 40%of global malaria ***,most reports on severe malaria in Nigeria are from hospital-based studies without accurate information from communities;thus,malaria-related deaths in the community are left *** study aimed to describe the prevalence and pattern of severe malaria in a community in Northwestern Nigeria.A cross-sectional study was conducted among 2–10-year-old children in Sokoto,in August and December 2016,to determine the endemicity of malaria based on Plasmodium falciparum prevalence rate(PfPR2-10)and to describe the disease *** malaria was diagnosed according to the World Health Organisation *** were described using Stata version *** prevalence of non-anaemia severe malaria was higher than expected(2.6%),considering the endemicity pattern which was mesoendemic based on a PfPR2-10 of 34.8%.The mean age of children with severe malaria was 3.73 years,and the male—female ratio was 2:***,54.0%of the patients had hyperparasitaemia.A relatively high prevalence of non-anaemia severe malaria was found in *** finding suggests the need to identify and treat cases in the community using modifications of current strategies,particularly seasonal malaria chemoprophylaxis.

Incidence and clinical presentation of portal vein thrombosis in cirrhotic patients

Ba.k.ROUND: Portal vein thrombosis (PVT) is due to many risk factors, but its pathogenesis is still not clearly understood. To identify the risk factors for PVT, we analyzed the clinical characteristics and complications associated with PVT in cir-rhotic patients. METHODS: We studied patients with liver cirrhosis who were admitted to our unit from April 2009 to December 2014. The patients were divided into the PVT and non-PVT groups, and were compared by variables including gender, age, the etiology of cirrhosis, stage of cirrhosis, complications, imaging, and treatment. RESULTS: PVT was found in 45 (9.8%) of 461 cirrhotic pa-tients admitted to our hospital. Most patients (45.9%) had hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related cirrhosis, with a similar dis-tribution of etiologies between the groups. However, there was no positive relationship between PVT and etiologies of cirrhosis. Most patients (71.5%) were in the stage of hepatic decompensation. No statistically signiifcant differences were found in complications including esophageal varices, ascites, and hepatic encephalopathy between the groups. However, there was a signiifcant positive correlation between hepatocel-lular carcinoma (HCC) and PVT (P CONCLUSIONS: The incidence of PVT was 9.8%, mainly in patients with HBV-related cirrhosis. The development of PVT was associated with the severity of liver disease and HCC.

Influence of nickel addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al2O3–5vol%ZrO2 ceramic composites prepared via precipitation method

The aim of this work was to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of 1vol%-Ni-added yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) toughened alumina composites. First, Ni powders were heterogeneously precipitated in an alumina–zirconia powder mixture suspended in water;the prepared specimens were then pressureless sintered at 1550°C/2 h in a 90vol%Ar/10vol% H2 atmosphere. The structure of phases and microstructure of the composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. Mechanical characterization of the specimens was carried out through Vickers hardness, Vickers indentation toughness, and three-point flexural bending tests. The fine Ni particles were homogeneously dispersed throughout the alumina matrix because of the employed processing method. Furthermore, hardness and toughness values were found to increase by 8% and 50%, respectively, with Ni addition, whereas the relative densities and flexural strength values were found to remain unchanged.

Characterization of cobalt ferrite-supported activated carbon for removal of chromium and lead ions from tannery wastewater via adsorption equilibrium

In this experiment,cobalt ferrite-supported activated carbon(CF-AC)was developed and characterized via the wet impregnation method for the removal of Cr and Pb(II)ions from tannery *** adsorption was carried out to evaluate the effect of experimental operating conditions(pH of solution,contact time,adsorbent dose,and temperature),and the removal efficiencies of Cr and Pb(II)ions by the developed adsorbents were calculated and recorded for all experimental *** variables were estimated and reported as removal efficiencies of 98.2%for Cr and 96.4%for Pb(II)ions at the optimal conditions of 5,0.8 g,80 min,and 333 k for pH,adsorbent dose,contact time,and temperature,*** equilibrium for the sorption of Cr and Pb(II)ions was studied using four widely used isotherm models(the Langmuir,Freundlich,Dubinin-Radushkevich,and Temkin isotherm models).It was found that the Freundlich isotherm model fit better with the coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.9484 and a small sum of square error of *** maximum adsorption capacities(Qm)of Pb(II)and Cr adsorbed onto CF-AC were determined to be 6.27 and 23.6 mg/g,*** adsorption process conformed well to pseudo-second order kinetics as revealed by the high R2 values obtained for both *** thermodynamic parameters showed that adsorption of Cr and Pb(II)ions onto CF-AC was spontaneous,feasible,and endothermic under the studied *** mean adsorption energy(E)values revealed that the adsorption mechanism of Cr and Pb(II)by CF-AC is physical in *** results of the study showed that adsorbent developed from CF-AC can be efficiently used as an environmentally friendly alternative adsorbent,for removal of Cr and Pb(II)ions in tannery wastewater.

kinetic adsorption of application of carbon nanotubes for Pb(Ⅱ) removal from aqueous solution

The capability of carbon nanotubes （CNTs） to adsorb lead （Pb） in aqueous solution was investigated. Batch mode adsorption experiment was conducted to determine the effects of pH, agitation speed, CNTs dosage and contact time. The removal of Pb（II） reached maximum value 85% or 83% at pH 5 or 40 mg/L of CNTs, respectively. Higher correlation coefficients from Langmuir isotherm model indicates the strong adsorptions of Pb（II） on the surface of CNTs （adsorption capacity Xm = 102.04 mg/g）. The results indicates that the highest percentage removal of Pb （96.03%） can be achieved at pH 5, 40 mg/L of CNTs, contact time 80 min, and agitation speed 50 r/min.

The current study provides a quantum calculus-based medical image enhancement technique that dynamically chooses the spatial distribution of image pixel intensity *** technique focuses on boosting the edges and texture of an image while leaving the smooth areas *** brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)scans are used to visualize the tumors that have spread throughout the brain in order to gain a better understanding of the stage of brain *** detecting brain cancer is a complex challenge that the medical system faces when diagnosing the *** solve this issue,this research offers a quantum calculus-based MRI image enhancement as a pre-processing step for brain cancer *** proposed image enhancement approach improves images with low gray level changes by estimating the pixel’s quantum *** suggested image enhancement technique is demonstrated to be robust and resistant to major quality changes on a variety ofMRIscan datasets of variable *** scans,the BRISQUE“blind/referenceless image spatial quality evaluator”and the NIQE“natural image quality evaluator”measures were 39.38 and 3.58,*** proposed image enhancement model,according to the data,produces the best image quality ratings,and it may be able to aid medical experts in the diagnosis *** experimental results were achieved using a publicly available collection of MRI scans.
