Water stress is a critical environmental adversity that significantly impacts the growth, development, and yield of flax plants. In this study, flax seeds were cultivated under different water irrigation requirements（WIR）(100%,75%, and 50%) to investigate the effects of exogenously supplied nitric oxide（NO） donor sodium nitroprusside（sNP） as foliar treatments at concentrations of 0.0 mmol/L, 0.5 mmol/L, 1.0 mmol/L, and 2.0 mmol/L. Drought stress led to a significant decrease in plant growth, photosynthetic pigments, yield components such as oil and total carbohydrate percentage. It also resulted in an increase in leaf h2O2production, lipid peroxidation levels and activities of enzymatic antioxidants including polyphenol oxidase, superoxide dismutase, and nitrate reductase enzymes. however, foliar application of sNP improved photosynthetic pigments and antioxidant defense system which mitigated the negative impact of water stress on growth and yield productivity by reducing oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species accumulation. The use of sNP also decreased h2O2accumulation levels, lipid peroxidation levels, and improved membrane stability. sNP treatment at concentration of 2 mmol/L showed superior results compared to other concentrations with extremely significant increases observed in yield characteristics such as oil content, total carbohydrate percentages, and unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids ratio.

新药研发是一个长周期、高风险、高投资的探索性过程,面临很多不确定因素,因此,做好战略制定和战略管理非常必要。本研究运用PEsTEL分析、波特五力模型等管理工具,结合我国创新药开发的实际情况,构建了我国创新药开发战略制定过程中的影响因素体系,包括6个方面共23个因素。应用李克特量表的调研统计方法,确认了影响因素体系,并采用层次分析法研究了不同因素对创新药开发战略的权重。研究结果表明,制定战略管理的过程中应关注这些因素,尤其是相对权重较高的因素,如产品特点、竞争环境、资金投入、技术平台特点以及外部法规政策的变化等,以提高创新药物开发的成功率。本研究所构建的影响因素体系为我国创新药开发战略管理提供了参考视角。

human fallopian tubes (FTs) play important roles in the whole reproductive process. FTs are the site for the final maturation of gametes, fertilization, transport of preimplantation embryos, and early embryonic development before entering the uterus. All these functions are critical in the establishment of a successful pregnancy. When the embryo is in transit through the FT, the FT microenvironment changes through endocrine, paracrine, autocrine, and juxtacrine mechanisms which involve various hormones and bioactive substances mainly from the neighboring cells. Therefore, the interactions between the embryo and the FT may be the earliest embryo-maternal communications that are essential for the establishment of pregnancy. This review critically discusses the evidence of various hormonal and bioactive mediated control of the microenvironment in the FTs during the earliest embryo-maternal communications. Moreover, we highlight existing gaps in the knowledge and the importance of exploring more of the physiology of FTs which will hold the key to producing high-quality embryos for patients seekingin vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments.

Flood Risk Assessment in the Lower Valley of Ouémé, Benin

In response to the increased frequency of flood events in recent years, it has become crucial to enhance preparedness and anticipation through precise flood risk assessments. To this end, this study aims to produce updated and precise flood risk maps for the Lower Valley of Ouémé River Basin, located in the south of Benin. The methodology used consisted of a combination of geographical information systems (GIs) and multi-criteria analysis, including Analytical hierarchy Process (AhP) methods to define and quantify criteria for flood risk assessment. seven hydro-geomorphological indicators (elevation, rainfall, slope, distance from rivers, flow accumulation, soil type, and drainage density), four socio-economic vulnerability indicators (female population density, literacy rate, poverty index, and road network density), and two exposure indicators (population density and land use) were integrated to generate risk maps. The results indicate that approximately 21.5% of the Lower Valley is under high and very high flood risk, mainly in the south between Dangbo, so-Ava, and Aguégués. The study findings align with the historical flood pattern in the region, which confirms the suitability of the used method. The novelty of this work lies in its comprehensive approach, the incorporation of AhP for weighting factors, and the use of remote sensing data, GIs technology, and spatial analysis techniques which adds precision to the mapping process. This work advances the scientific understanding of flood risk assessment and offers practical insights and solutions for flood-prone regions. The detailed flood risk indicator maps obtained stand out from previous studies and provide valuable information for effective flood risk management and mitigation efforts in the Lower Valley of Ouémé.

A fringe jump counting method for the phase measurement in the hCN laser interferometer on EAsT and its FPGA-based implementation

Electron density in fusion plasma is usually diagnosed using laser-aided interferometers. The phase difference signal obtained after phase demodulation is wrapped, which is also called a fringe jump. A method has been developed to unwrap the phase difference signal in real time using FPGA, specifically designed to handle fringe jumps in the hydrogen cyanide(hCN) laser interferometer on the EAsT superconducting tokamak. This method is designed for a phase demodulator using the fast Fourier transform(FFT) method at the front end. The method is better adapted for hardware implementation compared to complex mathematical analysis algorithms, such as field programmable gate array(FPGA). It has been applied to process the phase measurement results of the hCN laser interferometer on EAsT in real time. Electron density results show good confidence in the fringe jump unwrapping method. Further possible application in other laser interferometers, such as the POlarimeter-INTerferometer(POINT)system on EAsT tokamak is also discussed.
