In orogenic belts,a basal decollement zone often develops at depth to accommodate the shortening due to folding and thrusting of the sedimentary *** the Early Mesozoic intracontinental Xuefengshan Belt of South China,such a decollement zone is exposed in the core of anticlines formed by the emplacement of the late-orogenic granitic *** detailed,multi-scale structural analysis documents a synmetamorphic ductile *** the basal decollement,the Neoproterozoic pelite and sandstone,and the intruding Early Paleozoic granites were deformed and metamorphosed into mylonites and orthogneiss,*** metamorphic foliation contains a NW-SE stretching lineation associated with top-to-the-NW kinematic *** ductile shearing of these high-strained rocks can be correlated with NW-verging folds and thrusts recognized in the Neoproterozoic to Early Triassic sedimentary *** U-Th-Pb chemical dating,and zircon SIMS U-Pb dating provide age constraints of the ductile shearing between 243 and 226 Ma,and late-orogenic granite emplacement around 235-215 *** agreement with recent geochronological data,these new results show that the Xuefengshan Belt is an Early Mesozoic orogen dominated by the NW-directed shearing and *** the southeastern boundary of the Xuefengshan Belt,the Chenzhou-Linwu fault separates the Early Mesozoic domain to the NW from the Early Paleozoic domain to the *** tectonic architecture of this belt was possibly originated from the continental underthrusting to the SE of the South China block in response to northwest-directed subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate.

The south-Liaodong peninsula massif is the easternmost Mesozoic metamorphic core complex,recognized in Eastern *** provides a good example of the combination of ductile shearing,syn-kinematic plutonism and polyphase *** Jurassic granodioritic plutons,located at the footwall of the detachment normal fault,and dated here at ca 160 Ma,recorded two different phases of cooling.A slow cooling regime of about 3-10℃/my prevailing before 122 Ma,was followed by a significant increase in cooling rate of about 40-55℃/my after that *** contrast,a single fast cooling path was recorded by the Cretaceous monzogranite situated in the footwall of the detachment normal *** result indicates that the Jurassic and Cretaceous plutons recorded different exhumation processes:a Jurassic slow or negligible exhumation and a Cretaceous fast one assisted by normal *** two cooling stages correspond to distinct geodynamic processes during the Jurassic and *** tectonics seems not significant before Early *** second stage,dominated by an extensional regime which develops after ca 120 Ma,is tentatively correlated to the lithosphere removal of the North China Craton.

The Xuefengshan Belt,characterized by large-scale fold and thrust structures and widespread granites,is a key area to decipher the tectonic evolution of the South China *** this belt,two magmatic episodes are recorded by Early Paleozoic and Early Mesozoic *** this paper,we carried out precise SIMS zircon U - Pb dating and in situ Lu - Hf isotopes measurements on these granitic *** study indicates that the Early Paleozoic and the Early Mesozoic granites are late-orogenic products of the Early Paleozoic orogen and the Middle Triassic Xuefengshan orogen,*** the Xuefengshan Belt,the Early Paleozoic event is poorly registered,since this area corresponds to the outer zone of the early Paleozoic *** Silurian-Early Devonian granites are late-orogenic plutons emplaced after the main tectonic and metamorphic stage in the Wuyi-Baiyun-Yunkai belt,coeval with a widespread,subsequent extensional event in eastern and southern South *** the other hand,Triassic granites are formed in an intracontinental environment with weakly to strongly peraluminous *** U - Pb ages presented here,associated with a summary of newly acquired data in the same region,suggest that the emplacement of anatectic granites occurred around 225-215 Ma,not in a rather wide range of ca.245-200 *** situ zirconε(t) values indicate a crust-derived source without a mantle-derived input for the two generations of *** our data with recent studies,we infer that the central area of the South China block has experienced two tectonothermal events:the Early Paleozoic magmatism developed as a result of the collapse of the Early Paleozoic orogen, while these Early Mesozoic granites can be the late-orogenic products of the intracontinental Xuefengshan orogen,most likely manifesting the far field effect by the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific ocean plate at the southeastern margin of the South China block.

从构造关系上看,大别山可分为南部,中部和北部3个构造系统。大别山南部构造系统为一套(原地)构造堆叠系统(相对的),从上到下依次为:①未变质的震旦纪—早三叠世沉积盖层,它被造山后的侏罗—白垩纪砂-砾岩不整合覆盖;②弱变质的新元古代板岩;③高压变质岩系(宿松群),这些变质岩系大多退变质为绿片岩相;④含柯石英榴辉岩超高压变质单元的异地系统;⑤未经历超高压变质作用的原地(相对的)片麻岩系。北西-南东向的拉伸线理在各个地质单元均有表现。从动力学上看,上盘指向NW的剪切运动被后期的褶皱所改变。大别山中部为(混合岩)热穹窿改造系统,系经历了超高压变质作用的地体叠加了混合岩化作用的产物,它与超高压变质地体的界限为一拆离断层,而正是这个拆离断层使超高压变质地体向地表折返并经历了角闪岩相的退变质作用。大别山北部为构造堆叠系统,早期的面理和南北向的挤压线理被轴面北倾的褶皱所改造,这种褶皱对应于大别山中部同折返期的韧性变形的隆升构造。同时建立了地球动力学模型并讨论了逆冲作用和正断层的作用。

Determination of P, Ca, Zn, Cd and Pb concentrations in muscle, gills, liver, gonads and skeletons of two natural populations of Atherina lagunae in North Tunis Lake, Tunisia

In this study, zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), phosphorus (P) and calcium (Ca) concentrations in mus-cles, gills, liver, gonads and skeletons of two natural populations of sand smelt Atherina lagunae (Teleostean, Atherinidae) normal and deformed, as well as bioaccumulation of these elements from the water and the sediment in the North Tunis Lake were investigated. The analysis of Ca was performed with flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The average concentrations of Ca in the different tissues analyzed show higher val-ues in healthy atherines except in gonads where the average concentration of Ca in deformed atherines sig-nificantly exceeds that in normal atherines (p < 0.05) and the spine Ca concentrations were similar in the two populations. Zinc, cadmium, lead and phosphorus were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The Zn concentrations of Atherina lagunae in North Tunis Lake were very high compared to other studies in other lagoons. The highest concentrations were found in deformed atherines. The differences are significant for all tissues studied (p < 0.05). The average concentration of P in different tissues analyzed shows that the highest values were detected in the normal population of Atherina lagunae. The potential rate of Cd was below the detection limit in the different organs analyzed, in water and sediment.

Knowledge of the age and timing of ophiolite sequences is essential for understanding the mechanisms of plate *** ophiolites in the Schistes Lustres and the Upper nappes of Alpine Corsica represent remnants of the Liguria-Piemonte ocean basin that formed as a branch of the Central Atlantic basin during the opening of the Mesozoic Western Alpine *** numerous isotopic and paleontological studies,the age and timing of the ophiolites in the Schistes Lustres nappe are still *** study presents integrated in situ analyses of zircon U-Pb age and O-Hf isotopic data for ophiolitic gabbros and plagiogranites from three localities in the Schistes Lustres nappe of Eastern *** new results demonstrate that these rocks crystallized synchronously at-159 Ma,approximately 10 *** than the ophiolites in the Balagne Upper *** from the gabbros and plagiogranites are characterized by highly positiveεHf(t)(+15.0 to+15.9)and mantlelikeδO(5.2-5.4‰)***,these ophiolitic rocks were cogenetic,and crystallized from magmas produced by partial melting of a depleted,N-MORB type *** contrast,in the Balagne Upper nappe,the-169 Ma ophiolites contain numerous xenocrystic zircons inherited from a continental *** current knowledge of isotopic geochronology and geochemistry supports a paleogeographic reconstruction,in which the earliest ophiolites in the Balagne nappe were emplaced close to a continental margin at-169 Ma,while the N-MORB type ophiolites in the Schistes Lustres nappe were likely formed approximately 10 *** in the central part of the Liguria-Piemonte oceanic *** relative location of the Schistes Lustres and Balagne Upper nappes with respect to continental margins is discussed.
