In this paper, an EOQ inventory model is developed for deteriorating items with variable rates of deterioration and conditions of grace periods when demand is a quadratic function of time. The deterioration rate considered here is a special type of Weibull distribution deterioration rate, i.e., a one-parameter Weibull distribution deterioration rate and it increases with respect to time. The quadratic demand precisely depicts of the demand of seasonal items, fashion apparels, cosmetics, and newly launched essential commodities like android mobiles, laptops, automobiles etc., coming to the market. The model is divided into three policies according to the occurrence of the grace periods. Shortages, backlogging and complete backlogging cases are not allowed to occur in the model. The proposed model is well-explained with the help of a simple solution procedure. The three numerical examples are taken to illustrate the effectiveness of the EOQ inventory model along with sensitivity analysis.

Tuberculosis is a communicable disease manifesting as pulmonary and extra pulmonary infection. Extra pulmonary tuberculosis involving pharynx is usually secondary to active pulmonary tuberculosis. Primary oropharyngeal tuberculosis is rare and has been reported in association with immunocompromised states like HIV-AIdS and chronic alcoholism. It has very unusual clinical presentation and sometimes mimics malignancy. We report herewith two cases of primary oropharyngeal tuberculosis, clinically mimicking a malignancy, in immunocompetent adult patients. A high index of suspicion is required to diagnose pharyngeal tuberculosis in patients presenting with ulceroproliferative mass in oropharynx. Histopathological findings of characteristic tuberculous granuloma are confirmatory. Anti-tuberculous therapy gives excellent results within two months of commencing the treatment.

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (IFS) can be used as a general tool for modeling problems of decision making under uncertainty where, the degree of rejection is defined simultaneously with the degree of acceptance of a piece of information in such a way that these degrees are not complement to each other. Accordingly, an attempt is made to solve intuitionistic fuzzy linear programming problems using a technique based on an earlier technique proposed by Zimmermann to solve fuzzy linear programming problem. Our proposed technique does not require the existing ranking of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. This method is also different from the existing weight assignment method or the Angelov’s method. A comparative study is undertaken and interesting results have been presented.

Using score function in a matrix game is very rare. In the proposed paper we have considered a matrix game with pay-off as triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number and a new ranking order has been proposed using value judgement index, available definitions and operations. A new concept of score function has been developed to defuzzify the pay-off matrix and solution of the matrix game has been obtained. A numerical example has been given in support of the proposed method.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFId) and Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) are two important wireless technologies that have wide variety of applications and provide limitless future potentials. However,RFId and sensor networks almost are under development in parallel way. Integration of RFId and wireless sensor networks attracts little attention from research community. This paper first presents a brief introduction on RFId,and then investigates recent research works,new products/patents and applications that integrate RFId with sensor networks. Four types of integration are discussed. They are integrating tags with sensors,integrating tags with wireless sensor nodes,integrating readers with wireless sensor nodes and wire-less devices,and mix of RFId and sensors. New challenges and future works are discussed in the end.

Objective:To investigate the interaction of p53 with docetaxel and berberine and their anticancer activities against oral squamous cell ***:The interaction between p53 with docetaxel and berberine was investigated and their mechanisms of action against oral squamous cell carcinoma were *** studies were performed to determine any toxic impact of the drugs on the vital organs of tested ***:In silico results revealed the molecular interaction of docetaxel and berberine with p53 and the molecules were found to be potential p53 *** and berberine inhibited the proliferation of cancer cells in a concentration-dependent *** cytometry analysis revealed that docetaxel and berberine at IC50 concentrations upregulated the expression of p53 in oral squamous cell carcinoma cells,thus triggering apoptotic cell *** addition,no toxicity was observed in the liver and kidney tissues of mice after docetaxel and berberine ***:docetaxel and berberine significantly suppressed the proliferation of oral cancer cells by activating p53 expression and causing apoptotic cell *** compounds can be potential agents for the treatment of oral cancer,with little to no toxicity at the tissue level.

Under non-random uncertainty, a new idea of finding a possibly optimal solution for linear programming problem is examined in this paper. It is an application of the intuitionistic fuzzy set concept within scope of the existing fuzzy optimization. Here, we solve a linear programming problem (LPP) in an intuitionistic fuzzy environment and compare the result with the solution obtained from other existing techniques. In the process, the result of associated fuzzy LPP is also considered for a better understanding.

Background The aim of this study is to document results of laparoscopic iliopubic tract(IPT)repair for inguinal hernia in the pediatric age *** Hospital records of 190 children who underwent IPT repair between January 2015 and January 2020 were analyzed retrospectively for demographic details,variations between clinical,radiological and laparoscopic diagnosis,associated pathologies,operative time,hospital stay,postoperative complications and *** internal ring was narrowed by approximating IPT to conjoint tendon using 3-0 polypropylene continuous or interrupted *** In total,238 IPT repairs were done under general anesthesia in 190 children aged between 1 and 17 years.7.9%of children had phimosis,and three children had *** patients had undescended testis and another three IPT repairs were done in cases who presented with *** patent processus vaginalis(CPPV)was detected at the time of laparoscopy in 18.3%of *** far,166 children had been followed,and no recurrence was observed in any of these 96 of whom have completed more than 3 years after their ***,two patients developed hernia on the contralateral *** Laparoscopy is beneficial to pick up *** IPT repair for pediatric inguinal hernia is reproducible and safe with the least recurrence reported thus ***,further follow-up is ***,development of contralateral hernia needs to be investigated.

The aim of the study was to identify the impact of COVId-19 lockdown on continuation of treatment among the OPd geriatric ***tive research study has been conducted.A descriptive research design and convenience sampling technique were used to pick a total of 100 samples,(n=100).Self-structured socio demographic questionnaire and self structured interview method were used to collect the data in November 2020 at tertiary care hospitals,Bhubaneswar,Odisha,*** collected data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential *** of three categories of COVId-19 pandemic factors affecting in availing OPd services reveals that the psychological factor has more effect(73%)followed by hospital related factors(68%)and the availability of public transportation and resources(62%)has less effect in availing OPd services among patients during COVId-19 *** of chi square test reveals that there is no significant relationship of intensity of COVId-19 pandemic factors affecting in availing OPd services among patients with selected socio demographic *** findings suggest that facility for sanitization of hospital premises,facility for social distancing in registration counter,waiting area and other areas of hospital are not quite *** like availability of public transport,availability of healthcare personnel’s in OPd,adequacy of treatment facility,cost of medical services,availability of diagnostic services,are highly affecting geriatric patients in availing OPd services during COVId-19 pandemic and need to be taken care.
