The lithium metal anode is hailed as the desired "holy grail" for the forthcoming generation of highenergy-density batteries,given its astounding theoretical capacity and low ***,the formation and growth of dendrites seriously compromise battery life and ***,an yttriastabilized bismuth oxide(YSB) layer is fabricated on the polypropylene(PP) separator,where YSB reacts with Li anode in-situ in the cell to form a multi-component composite interlayer consisting of Li_(3)Bi,Li_(2)O,and Y_(2)O_(3).The interlayer can function not only as a redistributor to regulate Li^(+) distribution but also as an anion adsorber to increase the Li^(+) transference number from 0.37 to 0.79 for suppressing dendrite nucleation and ***,compared with the cell with a baseline separator,those with modified separators exhibit prolonged lifespan in both Li/Li symmetrical cells and Li/Cu ***,the full cells coupled with ultrahigh-loading LiFePO_(4) display an excellent cycling performance of 1700 cycles with a high capacity retention of ~80% at 1 C,exhibiting great potential for practical *** work provides a feasible and effective new strategy for separator modification towards building a much-anticipated dendrite-free Li anode and realizing long-lifespan lithium metal batteries.

Molybdenum carbide(Mo_(2)C)is a promising non-noble metal electrocatalyst with electronic structures similar to Pt for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However,strong H^(*)adsorption at the Mo sites hinders the improvement of HER ***,we synthesized monodisperse hollow Mo_(2)C nanoreactors,in which the carbon dots(Cd)were in situ formed onto the surface of Mo_(2)C through carburization *** to finite element simulation and analysis,the Cd@Mo_(2)C possesses better mesoscale diffusion properties than Mo_(2)C *** optimized Cd@Mo_(2)C nanoreactor demonstrates superior HER performance in alkaline electrolyte with a low overpotential of 57 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2),which is better than most Mo_(2)C-based ***,Cd@Mo_(2)C exhibits excellent electrochemical stability during 240 h,confirmed by operando Raman and X-ray diffraction(XRd).density functional theory(dFT)calculations show that carbon dots cause the d-band center of Cd@Mo_(2)C to shift away from Fermi level,promoting water dissociation and the desorption of H^(*).This study provides a reasonable strategy towards high-activity Mo-based HER eletrocatalysts by modulating the strength of Mo–H bonds.

Polarization upconversion luminescence(PUCL)of lanthanide ions(Ln^(3+))has been widely used in single particle tracking,microfluidics detection,three-dimensional displays,and so ***,no effective strategy has been developed for modulating *** we report a strategy to regulate PUCL in Ho^(3+)-doped NaYF4single nanorods based on the number of upconversion *** constructing a multiphoton upconversion system for Ho^(3+),we regulate the degree of polarization(dOP)of PUCL from 0.590 for two-photon luminescence to 0.929 for three-photon upconversion luminescence(UCL).Furthermore,our strategy is verified from cross-relaxation between Ho^(3+)and Yb^(3+),excitation wavelength,excitation power density,and local site *** this regulation strategy of PUCL has also been achieved in Tm^(3+),with the dOP ranging from 0.233 for two-photon luminescence to 0.925 for four-photon UCL Besides,multi-dimensional anti-counterfeiting display has been explored with *** work provides an effective strategy for regulating PUCL and also provides more opportunities for the development of polarization display optical encoding,anti-counterfeiting,and integrated optical devices.

BACKGROUNd Total knee arthroplasty(TKA)is recognized as the most effective surgical intervention for relieving pain and improving joint mobility and deformity in patients with knee osteoarthritis and other synovial *** application of accelerated postoperative rehabilitation(enhanced recovery after surgery)has demonstrated its efficacy in improving patient outcomes,and early postoperative joint function exercise has become a key prognostic factor in knee *** unexpected appearance of limb pain and swelling hindered the patient’s tendency for early mobilization,leading in prolonged hospitalization,delayed functional recovery and negative psychological responses.A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of 116 patients who under-went TKA at our hospital between July 2019 and July *** patients were divided into two groups:A control group(n=58)receiving programmatic nur-sing,and an observed group(n=58)receiving programmed nursing combined with a collaborative nursing model.A pain management team consisting of attending physicians,head nurses,and responsible nurses was *** measures included visual analogue scale(VAS)scores,activities of daily living(AdL)scale scores,and functional *** AdL scores of patients in both groups exhibited a continuous ***,there was no statistically significant difference in the AdL scores between the two groups at 48 h and the 7th d post-surgery(P>0.05).Upon reexamination at the 3rd mo,the observation group demonstrated higher AdL scores compared to the control group(67.48±14.69 vs 59.40±16.06,Pdecreased,with no significant difference observed between the groups at each time point(P>0.05).The functional status of patients in both groups exhibited a gradual increase prior to intervention and at the 1st,2nd,and 3rd month following discharge(Pdifference in knee joint function scores b

A two-year field experiment was conducted to measure the effects of densification methods on photosynthesis and yield of densely planted ***-plant and inter-row distances were used to define ratefixed pattern(RR)and row-fixed pattern(RS)density ***,four nitrogen(N)rates(0,144,192,and 240 kg N ha-1,termed N0,N144,N192,and N240)were applied with three densities(225,292.5,and 360×10^(4)plants ha^(-1),termed d225,d292.5,and d360).The wheat canopy was clipped into three equal vertical layers(top,middle,and bottom layers),and their chlorophyll density(Ch d)and photosynthetically active radiation interception(FIPAR)were *** showed that the response of Ch d and FIPAR to N rate,density,and pattern varied with different layers.N rate,density,and pattern had significant interaction effects on Ch *** maximum values of whole-canopy Ch d in the two seasons appeared in N240 combined with d292.5 and d360 under RR,*** two growing seasons,FIPAR values of RR were higher than those of RS by 29.37%for the top layer and 5.68%for the middle layer,while lower than those of RS by 20.62%for the bottom layer on *** a low N supply(N0),grain yield was not significantly affected by density for both *** N240,increasing density significantly increased yield under RR,but d360 of RS significantly decreased yield by 3.72%and 9.00%versus d225 in two seasons,*** an appropriate and sufficient N application,RR increased the yield of densely planted wheat more than ***,the maximum yield in two seasons appeared in the combination of d360 with N144 or N192 rather than of d225 with N240 under both patterns,suggesting that dense planting combined with an appropriate N-reduction application is feasible to increase photosynthesis capacity and yield.

A red-emitting phosphor Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) with partial Al^(3+)/P^(5+) substitution on Si^(4+) was synthesized via a simple solid-state method,and the effects of the introduction of the M^(3+/5+)(M=Al,P)ions on the crystal structure and photoluminescence performance of Ca_(2.91)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors were *** X-ray diffraction(XRd),energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EdS),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results revealed that the structure of Ca_(3)Si_(2)O_(7) remained the same after the introduction of Al^(3+) and P^(5+) *** characteristic emission of Eu^(3+)-doped Ca_(3)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7) phosphors exhibited two main peaks at 617 nm(red)and 593 nm(orange)under excitation at 394 nm,which originated from the^(5)d_(0)→^(7)F_(2)and^(5)d_(0)→^(7)F_(1) electron transitions of Eu^(3+) *** the partial substitution of Al^(3+) and P^(5+),the red emission intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors were significantly enhanced by 1.88-and 1.42-fold,respectively,which is attributed to the crystal-field effect around Eu^(3+).Meanwhile,the luminescence intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)P_(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors at 210℃ were 79.36%and 77.53%of those at 30°C,respectively,indicating their excellent thermal ***,the as-prepared Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+)and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)P_(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) red-emitting phosphors were combined with a near-ultraviolet chip of 395 nm to fabricate red-light-emitting diode(LEd)and white(w)-LEd devices with excellent chromaticity *** summary,Al^(3+)/P^(5+)-substituted Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) can serve as red-emitting phosphors for applications in w-LEds.

Quantum confinement effect and reduced dielectric screening in two-dimensional(2d)dramatically enhance theelectron-hole *** this work,we use many-body perturbation theory and Bethe-Salpeter equation(BSE)toinvestigate the electronic and excitonic optical properties of monolayer SnP_(2)S_(6).Our findings reveal that the excitoniceffect dominates the optical absorption spectra in the visible light range,and the lowest-energy exciton X0 in monolayerSnP_(2)S_(6)is optically bright with the binding energy of 0.87 eV and the radiative lifetime of~10^(-11)s,which is highly advantageousto the *** importantly,the absence of optically forbidden states below the bright statesX0 would give rise to a high quantum efficiency of 2d SnP_(2)S_(6).We also find that applied biaxial strain can further shortenthe radiative lifetime of the bright *** results imply that 2d SnP_(2)S_(6)is a promising candidate for the optoelectronicdevices.

digested wastewater contains pathogenic microorganisms and high ammonia concentrations,which can pose a potential risk to public *** removal of pathogens and nitrogen is crucial for the post-treatment of digested *** nitrification-anammox is an energy-saving nitrogen removal *** nitrous acid(FNA),an intermediate product of partial nitrification,has the potential to inactivate ***,the efficiency and mechanisms of FNA-related inactivation in pathogens during partial nitrification remains *** this study,Enterococcus and Escherichia coli(***)were selected to investigate the efficiency and mechanisms of FNA-related inactivation in partial nitrification *** results revealed that 83%±13%and 59%±27%of *** and Enterococcus were removed,respectively,in partial nitrification process at FNA concentrations of 0.023−0.028 mg/*** the concentration of FNA increased from 0 to 0.5 mg/L,the inactivation efficiencies of *** and Enterococcus increased from 0 to 99.9%and 89.9%,*** exhibited a higher resistance to FNA attack compared to ***.3d-laser scanning microscopy(3d-LSM)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)revealed that FNA exposure caused the surface collapse of *** and Enterococcus,as well as visible pore formation on the surface of *** cells.4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole dihydrochloride n-hydrate(dAPI)/propidium iodide(PI)and biomolecule leakage confirmed that inactivation of *** and Enterococcus occurred due to breakdown of cell walls and cell *** findings indicate that partial nitrification process can be used for the removal of residual pathogenic microorganisms.
