We reanalyze the recent computation of the amplitude of the Higgs boson decay into two photons presented by Gastmans et al. [1, 2]. The reasons for why this result cannot be the correct one have been discussed in some recent papers. We a.d.ess here the general issue of the indeterminacy of integrals with four-dimensional gauge-breaking regulators a.d.to which extent it might eventually be solved by imposing physical constraints. Imposing gauge invariance as the last step upon Rξ-gauge calculations with four-dimensional gauge-breaking regulators, allows us to recover the well known H→γγ result. However we show that in the particular case of the unitary gauge, the indeterminacy cannot be tackled in the same way. The combination of the unitary gauge with a cutoff regularization scheme turns out to be non-predictive.

Introduction: Near-infrared fluorescence imaging is a technique that will establish itself in the short term at the international level because it is recognized for its potential to improve the performance of surgical interventions, its moderate investment a.d.operating costs a.d.its portability. Although the technology is now mature, there is currently the problem of the availability of contrast agents to be injected IV. The aim of this methodology article is to propose an alternative solution to the need for contrast agents for clinical research, particularly in oncology. Methodology: They consist of coupling a fluorescent marker in the form of an NHS derivative, such as IR dYE manufactured in compliance with GMP, with therapeutic monoclonal antibodies having marketing authorization for molecular imaging. For a given antibody, the marking procedure must be the subject of a validation file on the final preparation filtered on a sterilizing membrane at 0.22 μm. Once the procedure has been validated, it would be unnecessary to repeat the tests before each clinical research examination. A check of the marking by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) a.d.place it in a sample bank at +4˚C for 1 month of each injected formulation would be sufficient for a.d.tional tests if necessary. Conclusion: Molecular near-infrared fluorescence imaging is experiencing development, the process of which could be accelerated by greater availability of clinical contrast agents. Alternative solutions are therefore necessary to promote clinical research in this area. These methods must be shared to make it easier for researchers.

Facial wound segmentation plays a crucial role in preoperative planning a.d.optimizing patient outcomes in various medical applications.In this paper,we propose an efficient approach for automating 3d facial wound segmentation using a two-stream graph convolutional network.Our method leverages the Cir3d-FaIR dataset a.d.a.d.esses the challenge of data imbalance through extensive experimentation with different loss functions.To achieve accurate segmentation,we conducted thorough experiments a.d.selected a high-performing model from the trainedmodels.The selectedmodel demonstrates exceptional segmentation performance for complex 3d facial wounds.Furthermore,based on the segmentation model,we propose an improved approach for extracting 3d facial wound fillers a.d.compare it to the results of the previous study.Our method achieved a remarkable accuracy of 0.9999993% on the test suite,surpassing the performance of the previous method.From this result,we use 3d printing technology to illustrate the shape of the wound filling.The outcomes of this study have significant implications for physicians involved in preoperative planning a.d.intervention design.By automating facial wound segmentation a.d.improving the accuracy ofwound-filling extraction,our approach can assist in carefully assessing a.d.optimizing interventions,leading to enhanced patient outcomes.a.d.tionally,it contributes to advancing facial reconstruction techniques by utilizing machine learning a.d.3d bioprinting for printing skin tissue implants.Our source code is available at https://***/SIMOGroup/WoundFilling3d.

The treatment a.d.disposal of radioactive waste are presently facing great challenges.Spent ion exchange resins have become a focus of attention due to their high production a.d.serious environmental risks.In this paper,a simplified model of cationic exchange resin is proposed,a.d.the degradation processes of cationic resin monomer initiated by hydroxyl radicals(·OH)are clarified by combining statistical molecular fragmentation(SMF)model a.d.density functional theory(dFT)calculations.The prediction of active sites indicates that the S-O bonds a.d.the C-S bond of the sulfonic group are more likely to react during the degradation.The meta-position of the sulfonic group on the benzene ring is the most active site,a.d.the benzene ring without the sulfonic group has a certain reactivity.The C11-C14 a.d.C17-C20 bonds,on the carbon skeleton,are the most easily broken.It is also found that dihydroxy a.d.tion a.d.elimination reactions play a major role in the process of desulfonation,carbon skeleton cleavage a.d.benzene ring separation.The decomposition mechanisms found through the combination of physical models a.d.chemical calculations,provide theoretical guidance for the treatment of complex polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Huntington’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease caused by the expansion mutation of a cytosine-adenine-guanine triplet in the exon 1 of the HTT gene which is responsible for the production of the huntingtin (Htt) protein. In physiological conditions, Htt is involved in many cellular processes such as cell signaling, transcriptional regulation, energy metabolism regulation, dNA maintenance, axonal trafficking, a.d.antiapoptotic activity. When the genetic alteration is present, the production of a mutant version of Htt (mHtt) occurs, which is characterized by a plethora of pathogenic activities that, finally, lead to cell death. Among all the cells in which mHtt exerts its dangerous activity, the GABAergic Medium Spiny Neurons seem to be the most affected by the mHtt-induced excitotoxicity both in the cortex a.d.in the striatum. However, as the neurodegeneration proceeds ahead the neuronal loss grows also in other brain areas such as the cerebellum, hypothalamus, thalamus, subthalamic nucleus, globus pallidus, a.d.substantia nigra, determining the variety of symptoms that characterize Huntington’s disease. From a clinical point of view, Huntington’s disease is characterized by a wide spectrum of symptoms spanning from motor impairment to cognitive disorders a.d.dementia. Huntington’s disease shows a prevalence of around 3.92 cases every 100,000 worldwide a.d.an incidence of 0.48 new cases every 100,000/year. To date, there is no available cure for Huntington’s disease. Several treatments have been developed so far, aiming to reduce the severity of one or more symptoms to slow down the inexorable decline caused by the disease. In this context, the search for reliable strategies to target the different aspects of Huntington’s disease become of the utmost interest. In recent years, a variety of studies demonstrated the detrimental role of neuronal loss in Huntington’s disease condition highlighting how the replacement of lost cells would be a reasonable strategy to overcome the neurodegeneration. The co-occurrence of glyphosate(GLP)a.d.aminomethylphosphonic acid(AMPA)in contaminated water,soil,sediment a.d.plants is a cause for concern due to potential threats to the ecosystem a.d.human health.A major route of exposure is through contact with contaminated soil a.d.consumption of crops containing GLP a.d.AMPA residues.However,clay-based sorption strategies for mixtures of GLP a.d.AMPA in soil,plants a.d.ga.d.n produce have been very limited.In this study,in vitro soil a.d.in vivo genetically modified corn models were used to establish the proof of concept that the inclusion of clay sorbents in contaminated soils will reduce the bioavailability of GLP a.d.AMPA in soils a.d.their adverse effects on plant growth.Effects of chemical concentration(1–10 mg/kg),sorbent dose(0.5%-3%in soil a.d.0.5%-1%in plants)a.d.duration(up to 28 days)on sorption kinetics were studied.The time course results showed a continuous GLP degradation to AMPA.The inclusion of calcium montmorillonite(CM)a.d.acid processed montmorillonite(APM)clays at all doses significantly a.d.consistently reduced the bioavailability of both chemicals from soils to plant roots a.d.leaves in a.d.se-a.d.time-dependent manner without detectable dissociation.Plants treated with 0.5%a.d.1%APM inclusion showed the highest growth rate(p≤0.05)a.d.lowest chemical bioavailability with up to 76%reduction in roots a.d.7%reduction in leaves.Results indicated that montmorillonite clays could be a.d.d as soil supplements to reduce haza.d.us mixtures of GLP a.d.AMPA in soils a.d.plants.

The influence of variable viscosity a.d.double diffusion on the convective stability of a nanofluid flow in an inclined porous channel is investigated.The darcyBrinkman model is used to characterize the fluid flow dynamics in porous materials.The analytical solutions are obtained for the unidirectional a.d.completely developed flow.Based on a normal mode analysis,the generalized eigenvalue problem under a perturbed state is solved.The eigenvalue problem is then solved by the spectral method.Finally,the critical Rayleigh number with the corresponding wavenumber is evaluated at the assigned values of the other flow-governing parameters.The results show that increasing the darcy number,the Lewis number,the dufour parameter,or the Soret parameter increases the stability of the system,whereas increasing the inclination angle of the channel destabilizes the flow.Besides,the flow is the most unstable when the channel is vertically oriented.
