The reflection of three-dimensional(3D) plane waves in a highly anisotropic(triclinic) medium under the context of generalized thermoelasticity is studied. The thermoelastic nature of the 3D plane waves in an anisotropic medium is investigated in the perspective of the three-phase-lag(TPL), dual-phase-lag(DPL), Green-Naghdi-III(GNIII), Lord-Shulman(LS), and classical coupled(CL) theories. The reflection coefficients and energy ratios for all the reflected waves are obtained in a mathematical form. The rotational effects on the reflection characteristics of the 3D waves are discussed under the context of generalized thermoelasticity. Comparative analyses for the reflection coefficients of the waves among these generalized thermoelastic theories are performed. The energy ratios for each of the reflected waves establish the energy conservation law in the reflection phenomena of the plane waves. The highly anisotropic materials along with the rotation may have a significant role in the phenomenon of the reflection behavior of the 3D waves. Numerical computations are performed for the graphical representation of the study.

Propagation of Rayleigh-type surface waves in an incompressible visco-elastic material over incompressible visco-elastic semi-infinite media under the effect of initial stresses is discussed. The dispersion equation is determined to study the effect of differ- ent types of parameters such as inhomogeneity, initial stress, wave number, phase velocity, damping factor, visco-elasticity, and incompressibility on the Rayleigh-type wave prop- agation. It is found that the affecting parameters have a significant effect on the wave propagation. Cardano＇s and Ferrari＇s methods are deployed to estimate the roots of dif- ferential equations associated with layer and semi-infinite media. The MATHEMATICA software is applied to explicate the effect of these parameters graphically.

The paper studies the propagation of torsional surface waves in an initially stressed anisotropic poro-elastic layer over a semi-infinite heterogeneous half space with linearly varying rigidity and density due to irregularity at the interface. The irregularity is taken in the half space in the form of a rectangle. It is observed that torsional surface waves propagate in this assumed medium. In the absence of the irregularity, the velocity equation of the torsional surface wave is also obtained. For a layer over a homogeneous half space, the velocity of torsional surface waves coincides with that of the Love waves.

This paper studies the propagation of horizontally polarized shear waves in an internal magnetoelastic monoclinic stratum with irregularity in lower interface. The stratum is sandwiched between two magnetoelastic monoclinic semi-infinite media. Dispersion equation is obtained in a closed form. In the absence of magnetic field and irregularity of the medium, the dispersion equation agrees with the equation of classical case in three layered media. The effects of magnetic field and size of irregularity on the phase velocity are depicted by means of graphs.

Irreversible electroporation is a promising non-thermal ablation method that has been shown to increase overall survival in locally advanced pancreatic cancer in some ***,higher quality studies with proper controls and randomization are required to establish its superiority when added with neoadjuvant chemotherapy over the current management of choice,which is chemotherapy *** studies are required before establishment of any survival benefit in metastatic pancreatic carcinoma,and such evidence is lacking at present.

The propagation of three-dimensional plane waves at a traction free boundary of a half-space composed of triclinic crystalline material is discussed. A method has been developed to find the analytical expressions of all the three phase velocities of quasi-P （qP）, quasi-SV （qSV） and quasi-SH （qSH） in three dimensions. Closed form expressions in three dimensions for the amplitude ratios of reflection coefficients of qP, qSV and qSH waves in a triclinic medium are obtained. These expressions are used for numerically studying the variation of the reflection coetticients with the angle of incidence. The graphs are drawn for different polar angle and azimuth. Numerical results presented indicate that the anisotropy affect the reflection coetticients significantly in the three dimensional case compared to the two-dimensional case.

The slag cleaning(or matte settling) process was experimentally investigated at 1573 K using a fayalitic nickel converter slag containing spinel and matte/alloy *** addition of various amounts of spent potlining(SPL) was studied in terms of its influence on matte settling and the overall metal *** slags produced were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive spectroscopy,and wet chemical analysis using inductively coupled plasma optical emission *** presence of solid spinel particles in the molten slag hindered coalescence and settling of matte/alloy *** settling was effectively promoted with the addition of as little as 2 wt% SPL because of the reduction of spinel by the carbonaceous component of the *** reduced viscosity of the molten slag in the presence of SPL also contributed to the accelerated matte *** metal recoveries were achieved with larger amounts of added *** reduction of the molten slag at 1573 K promoted the formation of highly dispersed metal particles/clusters via accelerated nucleation in the molten slag,which increased the overall slag *** increase in viscosity,when combined with rapid gas evolution from accelerated reduction reactions,led to slag foaming.

This paper reports a detailed study of generalized Chaplygin gas(GCG)with power law form of scale factor and truncated form of the scale factor using binomial expansion in both interacting and non-interacting scenarios along with its cosmological consequences,studied in terms of equation of state(EoS)*** the non-interacting scenario,the EoS parameter behaves as quintessence in both forms of the scale *** the interacting scenario,the EoS parameter behaves as phantom and for the truncated form of the scale factor,it violates the constraints of the positive parameterα.The cosmological implementation of GCG interacting with pressureless dark matter is investigated in the framework of f(T)modified gravity,where T is the torsion scalar in *** interaction term is directly proportional to the GCG density with positive coupling *** f(T)gravity,the EoS is behaving like *** stability of the reconstructed model is investigated and it is found to be stable against small gravitational perturbations,i.e.,the squared speed of sound is non-negative and an increasing function of cosmic time *** have observed that our reconstructed f(T)model satisfies one of the sufficient conditions of a realistic reconstructed model and it is consistent with the CMB constraints and primordial *** of primordial perturbations has also been analyzed and the self-interacting potential has been found to be an increasing function of cosmic time t.

Millimeter-wave(mm-wave) radio over fiber(ROF) using dispersive single-mode fiber is susceptible to signal cancellation effect at the output of the uni-travelling carrier photodiode at the base station(BS).The fiber dispersion effect produces different phase shifts of the sidebands of the intensity-modulated lightwave which can produce a cancellation of the output signal when mixed with the optical *** this paper,we propose and analyze a novel scheme of mm-wave ROF which uses microwave modulation at the central station(CS) and frequency upconversion before the *** scheme can overcome fiber dispersion-induced signal cancellation effect.
