We synthesized the pure and indium-doped （IZO） ZnO films with a facile composition control spray pyrolysis route. The substrate temperature （Ts） and In-doping effects on the properties of as-grown films are inves- tigated. The X-ray pattern confirms that the as-synthesized ZnO phase is grown along a （002） preferential plane. It is revealed that the crystalline structure is improved with a substrate temperature of 350 ℃ Moreover, the morphol- ogy of as-grown films, analyzed by AFM, shows nanostructures that have grown along the c-axis. The （3 ×3 μm2） area scanned AFM surface studies give the smooth film surface RMS 〈 40 nm. The UV-VIS-IR measurements reveal that the sprayed films are highly transparent in the visible and IR bands. The photoluminescence analysis shows that the strong blue and yellow luminescences of 2.11 and 2.81 eV are emitted from ZnO and IZO films with a slight shift in photon energy caused by In-doping. The band gap is a bit widened by In-doping, 3.21 eV （ZnO） and 3.31 eV （IZO） and the resistivity is reduced from 385 to 8Ω·m. An interesting result is the resistivity linear dependence on the substrate temperature of pure ZnO films.

AIM:To determine if proton pump inhibitor use in cirrhotic patients with endoscopic findings of portal hypertension is associated with a lower frequency of gastrointestinal ***:Patients with cirrhosis and endoscopic findings related to portal hypertension,receiving or not receiving proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy,were included *** assigned patients to two groups:group 1 patients underwent PPI therapy and group 2 patients did not undergo PPI ***:One hundred and five patients with a median age of 58 (26-87) years were included,57 (54.3%) of which were *** varices were found in 82 (78%) patients,portal hypertensive gastropathy in 72 (68.6%) patients,and gastric varices in 15 (14.3%) *** therapy was used in 45.5% of patients (n=48).Seventeen (16.1%) patients presented with upper gastrointestinal bleeding;in 14/17 (82.3%) patients,bleeding was secondary to esophageal varices,and in 3/17 patients bleeding was attributed to portal hypertensive *** related to portal hypertension according to PPI therapy occurred in 18.7% (n=9) of group 1 and in 14% (n=8) of group 2 (odds ratio:0.83,95% confidence interval:0.5-1.3,P=0.51).CONCLUSION:Portal hypertension bleeding is not associated with PPI *** findings do not support the prescription of PPIs in patients with chronic liver disease with no currently accepted indication.

Forest fire is one of the major causes of forest loss and therefore one of the main constraints for sustainable forest management *** the driving factors and understanding the contribution of each factor are essential for the management of forest fire *** objective of this study is to identify variables that are spatially related to the occurrence and incidence of the forest fire in the State of Durango,*** this purpose,data from forest fire records for a five-year period were *** spatial correlations between forest fire occurrence and intensity of land use,susceptibility of vegetation,temperature,precipitation and slope were tested by Geographically Weighted Regression(GWR) method,under an Ordinary Least Square *** show that the spatial pattern of the forest fire in the study area is closely correlated with the intensity of land use,and land use change is one of the main explanatory *** addition,vegetation type and precipitation are also the main driving *** fitting model indicates obvious link between the *** fire was found to be the consequence of a particular combination of the environmental factors,and when these factors coexist with human activities,there is high probability of forest fire *** regulation of human activities is a key strategy for forest fire prevention.

There are very few studies on the application of fertilizers through irrigation water(fertirrigation) using a multi-gate irrigation system in sugarcane AES. Through fertirrigation, the application of fertilizers can be simplified, and their distribution uniformity in sugarcane fields improved. This paper provides an overview of the state of the art regarding fertirrigation with multi-gate irrigation in sugarcane agroecosystems(AES). In order to systematize, organize, and discuss the scientific data on fertirrigation with low-pressure multi-gate irrigation systems in sugarcane AES, bibliographic material from the following full-text scientific journal databases was screened: the Elsevier Science Direct Freedom Collection, Springer Link, and the International Society for Horticultural Science. Next,a matrix of keywords was used to analyze the interrelationships among the available literature, current issues, and the recent *** conclude that development of fertirrigation technologies with low-pressure multi-gate irrigation is much needed.

In captive conditions, most neotropical migratory species do not have the necessary incentive to complete gonadal maturation and spawning, which require induction techniques, usually with the use of hormones. Numerous studies have therefore focused on finding an effective hormonal treatment to induce reproduction for each species. A standard treatment was successfully developed for most of these species, which consists of two doses of Carp Pituitary Extract (CPE), totaling 5.5 mgCPE/kg of fish. However, the best strategy for the subsequent fertilization of gametes is still unclear. This study was conducted with five species of commercial interest that do not reproduce naturally in captivity: pacu Piaractus mesopotamicus, piracanjuba Brycon orbignyanus, curimbatá Prochilodus lineatus, dourado Salminus brasiliensis and piau?u Leporinus macrocephalus. Ninety-nine broodstocks were used, consisting of males and females of the five species to compare two techniques for spawning and fertilization: extrusion followed by the dry method and natural spawning. All fish were induced with two hormone doses, i.e., 0.5 and 5.0 mgCPE/kg, and were subjected to one of the two types of fertilization. The results were compared using the fertilization rate, number of oocytes produced, relative fecundity and the broodstocks' survival rate on days following spawning. All species responded positively to spawning for extrusion, and only S. brasiliensis did not spawn through the natural spawning method. The natural spawning technique provided a higher fertilization rate of eggs and a greater broodstock survival rate (P S. brasiliensis. It was concluded that the natural spawning technique can increase the production of viable eggs and reduce the mortality of species during breeding, except for S. brasiliensis.

Hyperlipidemia plays an important role in the development of atherosclerosis, the main cause of death in the world. In this study, the lipid-lowering effect of Carica papaya leaf in rats fed with a high cholesterol diet was evaluated. Daily doses of C. papaya extract 0, 31, 62 or 125 mg/kg body weight were orally administered in 300 μl polyethylene glycol to hypercholesterolemic rats;it was also administered 62 mg/kg body weight of the extract to rats with normal diet. After a 20-day treatment, the animals were sacrificed;blood and liver were analyzed. Hypercholesterolemic rats showed an increased serum and liver cholesterol, triacylglycerols, and atherogenic index. The C. papaya extract produced a significant decrease of serum and liver cholesterol concentrations in hypercholesterolemic rats, but did not modify serum or liver triacylglycerols;however, the extract reduced the atherogenic index in a dose-dependent manner. C. papaya treatment decreased LDL-C and increased HDL-C in serum significantly. When the oxygen consumption was evaluated in phosphorylating and resting states, the respiratory control in hypercholesterolemic rats mitochondria was lower than in normal diet rats. However, a higher respiratory control in hypercholesterolemic rats mitochondria was observed after C papaya treatment. The liver morphological data are in accordance with serum and liver biochemical values. Our data support that C. papaya has a significant hypocholesterolemic action and HDL-C raising effect on rats fed with a cholesterol-rich diet, however, the precise metabolites responsible of this effect remain unknown.

Disabled shoulders of throwing athletes typically present with extended undersurface partial tears of the rotator cuff, which include the posterior supraspinatus and the anterior infraspinatus tendon to a variable extent. We propose a modified transtendon repair technique to adequately treat this subset of patients. The repair includes two double-loaded anchors, at the anterior and the posterior end of the tear, respectively. With the help of an angulated penetrator we create a medial and a lateral band of sutures on top of the cuff, producing a broad contact in the tendon-to-bone interface. All the 9 so far operated patients were young men, 7 of them base-ball pitchers, and 5 active in competitive sports. The Constant Score rose from 72 points preoperatively to 99 points at 12 months follow-up. Three of the still active pitchers were able to return to their previous level in sports after one year. The improved footprint contact of our novel repair construct should allow for better healing and, therefore, a higher chance of return to competition.
