The application of wireless VANET technology to accident warning systems is gaining an increasing interest. These systems can significantly increase the safety of daily driving and are based on a technology that is steadily becoming mature. We present an experimental comparison between two effective approaches that cope with realistic scenarios. Both rapidly broadcast alert messages throughout platoons of vehicles, and are based on wireless vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. However, with one approach an alert message propagates through the farthest relay at each hop, whereas with the other it propagatesusing the farthest spanning relay (i.e., the relay that can retransmit farthest away an alert message). With this study we will see retransmitting through the farthest spanning relay at each hop can improve the performance by a factor of two in terms of propagation delay, in comparison to choosing the farthest relay.

BESⅢ data show a particular angular distribution for the decay of J/Ψ and Ψ(2 S) mesons into ■ and Σ~0Σ~0 hyperons: the angular distribution of the decay Ψ(2 S) →Σ~0Σ~0 exhibits an opposite trend with respect to the other three channels: J/Ψ→■, J/Ψ→Σ~0Σ~0 and Ψ(2 S) →■. We define a model to explain the origin of this phenomenon.

本研究以红腺忍冬嫩叶为外植体材料,探讨对应的最适组织快繁体系,为红腺忍冬种苗组织快繁工厂化生产提供新思路。结果表明,外植体最适消毒时间为8 min,最适诱导愈伤组织的培养基配方为:MS+2,4-D 4.0 mg/L+蔗糖30 g/L,平均诱导率为86.67%。适合红腺忍冬愈伤组织分化出芽的培养基配方为:MS+6-BA 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.10 mg/L+蔗糖30 g/L,平均出芽率为83.33%。适合红腺忍冬分化芽增殖的培养基配方为:MS+6-BA 1.5 mg/L+NAA 0.05 mg/L+蔗糖30 g/L,增殖系数为5.42。适合红腺忍冬诱导生根的培养基配方为:1/2 MS+NAA 0.15 mg/L+活性炭0.3 g/L+蔗糖15 g/L,生根率达91.11%。组培苗在V泥炭土∶V珍珠岩=3∶1的栽培基质中成活率高达100%。

AIM：To review indications and corneal tissue use for penetrating and lamellar surgery between 2002 and 2011.·METHODS：The surgical reports of corneal grafts performed during 2002-2011,using tissues supplied by the Eye Bank of Piedmont（Italy）,were reviewed retrospectively.Patient demographic data,date of intervention,indication for surgery,and surgical technique used were recorded.Surgical techniques included penetrating keratoplasty（PK）,deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty（DALK）and endothelial keratoplasty（EK）.The2test was used to compare the distribution of indications and types of surgical technique used,for corneal grafts done during 2002-2006 versus those done during 2007-2011.·RESULTS：The number of corneal grafts increased by30.7%from 2002-2006 to 2007-2011（from 1567 to 2048）.Comparing the two periods,both main indications and surgical techniques changed significantly.In 2007-2011,the proportion of interventions for aphakic/pseudophakic bollous keratopathy（from 16.8%to 21.3%）,graft failure（from 16.4%to 19.1%）and Fuchs endothelial dystrophy（from 12.8%to 16.7%）all increased significantly（〈0.05）,while those for keratoconus decreased significantly（from35.6%to 27.3%;〈0.001）.In 2007-2011,the proportion of PK decreased significantly（from 92.4%to 57.2%;〈0.001）while that of EK and DALK went from 0.4%to48 30.2%（〈0.001）and from 7.2%to 12.6%（〈0.001）respectively.·CONCLUSION：During 2002-2011 the number of interventions increased significantly for corneal endothelial diseases and graft failure.The growing demand for interventions for these diseases corresponded to the widespread adoption of EK techniques.The use of DALK also increased,but more moderately than EK procedures.

Generally the simplistic distinction between a humanoid robot,a computerized machine capable of replicating a variety of complex human functions automatically,and an android is one of appearance; an android is meant to look and act like a human being even to the extent of being indistinguishable. While one day a yottaflop(1024 bits per second) hyper-supercomputer could have a sufficient holographic database and processing power to be truly indistinguishable from a human being,the issue of the applicability of sentience(self-awareness) to an android comes to the forefront. The currently dominant cognitive model of awareness,closely aligned to the AI model,states that mind equals brain and that once correct algorithms are known all of human intelligence could be replicated artificially. This is the so-called mechanistic view: ‘The laws of physics and chemistry are sufficient to describe all living systems; no additional life principle is required’. In this work we develop the point of view that the regime of Unified Field Mechanics(UFM) supplies an inherent action principle driving both the evolution of complex Self-Organized Living Systems(SOLS) and the physical processes of awareness. These UFM parameters in conjunction with ‘conscious quantum computing’(class of quantum computer modeled with physical parameters of mind-body interaction) putatively leads directly to the construction of sentient(or sentient-like) Androids.

砾性土液化评价方法的通用性和可靠性研究

以2008年汶川地震液化震害调查资料为背景,基于操作性和经济性上具有显著优势的中国动力触探试验(DPT)而提出的砾性土液化评价方法,包括砾性土层液化触发条件以及判别公式(CYY公式),理论上已经得到国内外同行的认可,但其通用性和可靠性尚需检验。以5个国家29个历史地震砾性土场地中美联合勘测为基础,研究DPT技术、砾性土层液化触发条件和CYY公式在不同国家、不同地震和不同场地的适用性和可靠性问题,其中,成都平原14个砾性土场地的勘测与数据处理由中方完成,美国、意大利、新西兰、厄瓜多尔等15个砾性土场地的勘测与数据处理由美方Rollins教授主导完成,均为新的测试检验点。结果表明:中国动力触探标准探头在不同国家、不同砾性土场地上测试具有可行性,可以有效穿透20 m的砾性土场地,动探击数可作为砾性土液化评价的核心指标,同时亦可扩展到砾性土层的力学性能评价;不同国家、不同砾性土液化场地上,均存在不排水或排水不畅的埋藏条件,符合砾性土层液化触发条件要求;对动力触探击数进行锤击能量、有效上覆压力等修正后,CYY公式在不同国家、不同地震、不同砾性土液化场地的判别成功率约96%,具有较高可靠性。以2008年汶川地震砾性土液化为背景、以动力触探锤击数为基本指标的砾性土液化评价方法,具有国际通用的可行性。

AIM To evaluate the role of a therapeutic regimen with plasma exchange, intravenous immunoglobulins and rituximab in chronic-active antibody-mediated rejection(c AMR) settings.METHODS We compared 21 kidney transplant recipients(KTRs) with a diagnosis of c AMR in a retrospective casecontrol analysis: nine KTRs treated with plasmapheresis, intravenous immunoglobulins and rituximab(PE-IVIGRTX group) vs 12 patients(control group) not treated with antibody-targeted therapies. We examined kidney survival and functional outcomes 24 mo after diagnosis. Histological features and donor-specific antibody(DSA) characteristics(MFI and C1 q-fixing ability) were also investigated.RESULTS No difference in graft survival between the two groups was noted: three out of nine patients in the PE-IVIG-RTX group(33.3%) and 4/12 in the control group(33.3%) experienced loss of allograft function at a median time after diagnosis of 14 mo(min 12-max 18) and 15 mo(min 7-max 22), respectively. Kidney functional tests and proteinuria 24 mo after cA MR diagnosis were also similar in both groups. Only microvascular inflammation(glomerulitis + peritubular capillaritis score) was significantly reduced after PE-IVIG-RTX in seven out of eight patients(87.5%) in the PE-IVIG-RTX group(median score 3 in pre-treatment biopsy vs 1.5 in post-treatment biopsy; P = 0.047), without any impact on kidney survival and/or DSA characteristics. No functional or histological parameter at diagnosis was predictive of clinical outcome.CONCLUSION Our data showed no difference in the two year posttreatment outcome of kidney grafts treated with PE-IVIGRTX for c AMR diagnosis, however there were notable improvements in microvascular inflammation in posttherapy protocol biopsies. Further studies, especially involving innovative therapeutic approaches, are required to improve the management and long-term results of this severe condition.
