Measuring software quality requires software engineers to understand the system’s quality attributes and their *** quality attribute is a qualitative property;however,the quantitative feature is needed for software measurement,which is not considered during the development of most software *** research studies have investigated different approaches for measuring software quality,but with no practical approaches to quantify and measure quality *** paper proposes a software quality measurement model,based on a software interconnection model,to measure the quality of software components and the overall quality of the software *** most of the existing approaches,the proposed approach can be applied at the early stages of software development,to different architectural design models,and at different levels of system *** article introduces a software measurement model that uses a heuristic normalization of the software’s internal quality attributes,i.e.,coupling and cohesion,for software quality *** this model,the quality of a software component is measured based on its internal strength and the coupling it exhibits with other component(s).The proposed model has been experimented with nine software engineering teams that have agreed to participate in the experiment during the development of their different software *** experiments have shown that coupling reduces the internal strength of the coupled components by the amount of coupling they exhibit,which degrades their quality and the overall quality of the software *** introduced model can help in understanding the quality of software *** addition,it identifies the locations in software design that exhibit unnecessary couplings that degrade the quality of the software systems,which can be eliminated.

The development of information processing devices with minimum carbon emission is crucial in this information age. One of the approaches to tackle this challenge is by using valleys (local extremum points in the momentum space) to encode the information instead of charges. The valley information in some material such as monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) can be controlled by using circularly polarized light. This opens a new field called opto-valleytronics. In this article, we first review the valley physics in monolayer TMD and two-dimensional (2D) heterostructure composed of monolayer TMD and other materials. Such 2D heterostructure has been shown to exhibit interesting phenomena such as interlayer exciton, magnetic proximity effect, and spin-orbit proximity effect, which is beneficial for opto-valleytronics application. We then review some of the optical valley control methods that have been used in the monolayer TMD and the 2D heterostructure. Finally, a summary and outlook of the 2D heterostructure opto-valleytronics are given.

BACKGROUND Invasive cervical resorption(ICR), a commonly misdiagnosed condition, is an aggressive form of external tooth resorption that contributes to periodontal tissue inflammation and deepening of the periodontal pockets. Herein we report the case of a patient, exhibiting ICR and elaborate the effects of a non-surgical approach in the amelioration of this *** SUMMARY A 21-year-old female reporting intermittent pain at the upper left side, multiple restorations, no trauma history, and having received orthodontic treatment was studied. Localized erythematous swelling was noted at the buccal interdental papilla between the left maxillary first molar and second premolar. The diseased pulp and tissue in resorption were removed and the root canal system including the defect were sealed using gutta percha/AH Plus and mineral trioxide aggregate(MTA). At the one-year recall, the tooth showed no symptoms and responded normally to percussion and palpation. The surrounding periodontium exhibited a normal color and the probing depth was normal. Radiographic examination showed a restoration of crestal alveolar bone and good adaption to *** Non-surgical root canal treatment in conjunction with resorption defect orthograde repair with MTA was found to be an effective treatment option in the elimination of ICR. Early diagnoses are recommended in order to employ nonsurgical approaches for management of ICR instead of surgical interventions.

This study investigates the influence of periodic heat flux and viscous dissipation on magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)flow through a vertical channel with heat generation.A theoretical approach is *** channel is exposed to a perpendicular magnetic field,while one side experiences a periodic heat flow,and the other side undergoes a periodic temperature *** solutions for the governing partial differential equations are obtained using a finite difference approach,complemented by an eigenfunction expansion method for analytical *** and discussions illustrate how different variables affect the flow velocity and temperature *** offers comprehensive insights into MHD flow behavior and its interactions with the magnetic field,heat flux,viscous dissipation,and heat *** findings hold significance for engineering applications concerning fluid dynamics and heat transfer,offering valuable knowledge in this *** study concludes that the transient velocity and temperature profiles exhibit periodic patterns under periodic heat flow conditions.A temperature reduction is observed with an increase in the wall temperature phase *** contrast,an increase in the heat flux phase angle values raises the temperature values.

Objective:To understand the effects of combination treatment of pamidronate with isolated Quercus infectoria semi-purified fraction(Qlsm-F)on human foetal osteoblast cell model(hFOB1.19 cell line)through assessment of Runt related transcription fraction-2(Runx2)and Osterix(Osx).Methods:The isolation and purification of QIsm-F were conducted by chromatographic *** order to assess relative efficacy of QIsm-F to the osteoblast model,the determination of half maximal effective concentration(EC_(50))was performed by MTT *** 1.19 cells were cultured in DMEM F-12 and supplemented with 10%fetal bovine serum along with 1%penicillin-streptomycin incubated in 5%CO_2 at 37℃.Expression of Runx2 and Osx was assessed through western blotting and confirmed with immunofluorescence ***:Results of western blot analysis and immunofluorescence staining demonstrated that compared to hFOB 1.19 cells treated with single individual treatment of QIsm-F and control groups,levels of Runx2 and Osx were elevated with higher fluorescence intensity and more rapid proliferation in hFOB 1.19 cells treated with combined treatment of QIsm-F and ***:The finding demonstrates the synergistic effect between osteoporotic drug pamidronate and established *** combination treatment helps increase the efficiency of pamidronate acting on osteoblast cells by stimulating osteoblast proliferation and differentiation via expression of Runx2 and Osx.

Digital Elevation Models(DEMs)play a crucial role in civil and environmental applications,such as hydrologic and geologic analyses,hazard monitoring,natural resources exploration,***,DEMs can be generated from various data sources,such as ground surveys,photogrammetric stereo methods,satellite images,laser scanning,and digitized contour *** with other data sources,contour lines are still the cheapest and more common data source becausethey cover all areas,at different scales,in most *** there are different algorithms and technologies for interpolation in between contour lines,DEMs extracted solely from contours still suffer from poor terrain quality representation,which in turn negatively affects the quality of analytical applications *** this paper,an approach for improving the digital terrain modeling based on contour line densification and Delaunay triangulation is presented to acquire a more suitable DEM for hydrographic modeling and its *** proposed methodology was tested using a variety of terrain patterns in terms of intensity:hilly,undulated,and plain(1:25,000 topographic map,5 m contour interval).The precision of the extracted GRID model increases as the number of added contours *** four contour lines,the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)of examining points were 0.26 m,0.29 m,and 0.05 m for hilly,undulated,and plain samples,respectively,and the Mean Absolute Error(MAE)were 0.50 m,0.48 m,and 0.17 *** convergence probabilities between extracted and original flow lines for the same regions were 96.91%,94.93%,and 84.03%.Applying the methodology,experimental results indicate that the developed approach provides a significant advantage in terrain modeling enhancement,generates DEMs smoothly and effectively from contours,mitigates problems and reduces uncertainties.
