Effect of Mg and Si on intermetallic formation and fracture behavior of pure aluminum-galvanized carbon-steel joints made by weld-brazing

Commercial pure aluminum and galvanized carbon steel were lap-welded using the weld-brazing(WB)*** types of aluminum filler materials(4043,4047,and 5356) were used for *** joint strength and intermetallic compounds at the interface of three series of samples were analyzed and *** on the Si content,a variety of ternary Al-Fe-Si intermetallic compounds(IMCs) such as Fe_(4)(Al,Si)_(13),Fe_(2) Al_(8) Si(τ_(5)),and Fe_(2) Al_(9) Si_(2)(τ_(6)) were formed at the *** element in 5356 filler material cannot contribute to the formation of Al-Fe intermetallic phases due to the positive mixing enthalpy of *** presence of Mg enhances the hot cracking phenomenon near the Al-Fe intermetallic compound at the *** coating does not participate in intermetallic formation due to its evaporation during *** was concluded that the softening of the base metal in the heat-affected zone rather than the IMCs determines the joint efficiency.

Effects of different planes of milk feeding and milk total solids concentration on growth,ruminal fermentation,health,and behavior of late weaned dairy calves during summer

Background:In recent years,there has been an increasing interest in using high quantities of milk or milk replacer(MR)in heat-stressed calves to alleviate the negative effects of high environmental temperatures on their ***,observations have indicated a decline in growth performance in the weaning and postweaning period,which might be optimized with increasing total solids(TS)in milk and weaning *** study aims to optimize the effects of higher quantities of milk on late weaned calves'performance by increasing TS concentration or delivery route in summer ***:Forty-eight newborn Holstein calves were used in a 2×2 factorial arrangement with the factors of preweaning total plane of milk(PM)intake(low ***)and milk TS content(12%vs.17%).The treatments were(1)low PM(LPM)intake with 12%TS(TS intake=45.9 kg),(2)LPM intake with 17%TS(TS intake=65.1 kg),(3)high PM(HPM)intake with 12%TS(TS intake=63.7 kg);and(4)HPM intake with 17%TS(TS intake=90.3 kg).Calves were weaned at d 83,and the study was terminated at d 103 of *** data(every 10 day),skeletal growth(d 80 and 100),ruminal fermentation parameters(d 48 and 91),and behavioral measurements(d 69,70,93 and 94)were analyzed as repeated measurements with PROC MIXED of SAS 9.4(SAS Institute Inc.,Cary,NC).Results:Calves receiving HPM consumed less PMR from d 44 to 83 of age,but they had higher ADG from d 24 to 53 of age compared to those fed LPM(PM×age,P<0.001).In addition,calves receiving milk with 17%TS had lower PMR intake from d 14 to 83 of age,but greater ADG from d 34 to 53 compared to those receiving milk with 12%TS(TS×age,P<0.001).Calves that received HPM had greater skeletal growth parameters compared to LPMfed calves,with a similar effect evident for calves fed milk with 17%TS compared with those fed milk with 12%*** receiving milk with 17%TS had greater fecal scores and diarrhea occurrence than those fed milk with 12%TS in HPM,but not ***:Increasing PM

Status and Citizenship Rights of Minorities and Coexistence in Islam

the more attention is paid to rights of minorities, the more grounds will be there for peaceful coexistence. This paper will first discuss theoretical and ideological bases of status and citizenship rights of minorities before focusing on ＂citizenship status of minorities＂ and ＂citizenship rights of minorities＂ from the viewpoint of Islam. Islam here means the collection of Quran, Prophet Muhammad＇s （S） Sunnah, and Imam Ali＇s （AS） conduct. The main question of this paper is ＂what status and rights have been considered by Islam for minorities to allow peaceful coexistence in a Muslim society？＂＂Minority＂ here includes both religious and non-religious minorities. ＂Rights＂ here means that part of ＂assets,＂＂means,＂＂political and social leverages,＂＂privileges,＂ and ＂conditions＂ which the majority is bound to by law, religious and common sense to provide for minorities. The word ＂status＂ here means to respect, serve, and provide suitable conditions which are provided just out of respect for human values not due to legal compulsion. In this paper, we will first discuss theoretical and ideological fundaments of minorities＇ rights before discussing ＂citizenship status of minorities＂ and ＂citizenship rights of minorities＂ from the viewpoint of Islam. By Islam, we mean Quran as well as Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad （S） and conduct of Imam All （AS）.

An Adaptive Time-Step Backward Differentiation Algorithm to Solve Stiff Ordinary Differential Equations: Application to Solve Activated Sludge Models

A backward differentiation formula (BDF) has been shown to be an effective way to solve a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) that have some degree of stiffness. However, sometimes, due to high-frequency variations in the external time series of boundary conditions, a small time-step is required to solve the ODE system throughout the entire simulation period, which can lead to a high computational cost, slower response, and need for more memory resources. One possible strategy to overcome this problem is to dynamically adjust the time-step with respect to the system’s stiffness. Therefore, small time-steps can be applied when needed, and larger time-steps can be used when allowable. This paper presents a new algorithm for adjusting the dynamic time-step based on a BDF discretization method. The parameters used to dynamically adjust the size of the time-step can be optimally specified to result in a minimum computation time and reasonable accuracy for a particular case of ODEs. The proposed algorithm was applied to solve the system of ODEs obtained from an activated sludge model (ASM) for biological wastewater treatment processes. The algorithm was tested for various solver parameters, and the optimum set of three adjustable parameters that represented minimum computation time was identified. In addition, the accuracy of the algorithm was evaluated for various sets of solver parameters.

Effectiveness and safety of rocuronium or nitroglycerin plus ropivacaine on pain during intravenous regional anesthesia:A double-blind randomized controlled trial

Objective:To compare the effects of adding rocuronium and nitroglycerin to ropivacaine in intravenous regional anesthesia(IVRA)on pain and hemodynamic ***:This randomized controlled trial was done in *** were 177 candidates for forearm operation surgery under IVRA selected from Valiasr Hospital,Arak,*** were allocated by block randomization to three different groups,namely nitroglycerin group,rocuronium group and control *** parameters were recorded before tourniquet application up to postoperative recovery *** block and motor block onset and duration and pain were also *** data analysis was carried out by IMB SPSS software ***:177 Eligible patients were included in study,with 59 in each *** to sensory and motor block onset in the nitroglycerin group was significantly less than the other groups and the time of motor block in the rocuronium group was statistically higher than the control and the nitroglycerin groups(P<0.001).Seven participants in the nitroglycerin group experienced headache and three from the rocuronium group experienced *** side effects occurrence in the nitroglycerin group was more prevalent than in the control and rocuronium groups(P=0.009).Conclusions:Nitroglycerin significantly reduces the time to sensory and motor block onset,while rocuronium is more effective in prolonging the time of motor *** there is no difference between nitroglycerin and rocuronium respecting the pain score and opioid need administration,nitroglycerin is associated with a higher prevalence of medication side ***,both nitroglycerin and rocuronium can be used as adjuvant for *** final choice relies on patients’conditions and anesthesiologists’judgment.
