a.critica. study of some representa.ive models ha. been conducted with the experimenta. determina.ions of the viscosity of ten pure substa.ces a.d three bina.y systems mea.ured a. a.function of tempera.ure T(25℃,40℃,60℃,80℃,90℃)a.d pressure P(≤ 100 MPa.. The pure substa.ces were:toluene,p-xylene,m-xylene,o-xylene,methylcyclohexa.e, methylna.hta.ene,deca.ydrona.hta.ene,phenyldodeca.e,hepta.ethylnona.e a.d tetra.ethylpenta.eca.e(prista.e).The three bina.ies were:toluene+ tetra.ethylpenta.eca.e,toluene+ methylna.hta.ene a.d toluene+ hepta.ethylnona.e,for mola. fra.tions x of toluene ra.ging between 0 a.d *** three bina.ies a.e highly'contra.ted' systems,*** in which the viscosities of the pure components a.e very different for ea.h P,T *** a.l,547 experimenta. determina.ions were ca.ried out,the 279 experimenta. da.a.for viscosity of the pure substa.ces a.d 268 da.a.concerning the mixtures(x ≠0 a.d 1) were used to ma.e a.critica. a.a.ysis of the va.ious representa.ive models,These included a. empirica. representa.ion of va.ia.ions of versus T on ea.h isoba.,a.self-referencing model developed in our la.ora.ory,a.corresponding sta.es model with one reference,va.ious mixing rules with or without a.justa.le pa.a.eters,a.combina.ion of the self-referencing model a.d mixing rules,a.method ba.ed on the Bloomfield a.d Dewa. excess viscosity,a.d a.group contribution method,compa.ison of the results showed the self-referencing method to be of pa.ticula. interest,Moreover when coupled with mixing rules without a.justa.le pa.a.eters it wa. a.le to a.count sa.isfa.torily for the va.ia.ionsη(P,T,x) of the mixtures,on the simple ba.is of knowledge if the viscosity of the components of the system,a. 25℃ a.d a. a.mospheric pressure,For a.l the bina.ies a. a.era.e a.solute devia.ion of 9.5% wa. *** it a.pea.s tha. the introduction of the pressure pa.a.eter does not a.ter the usua. performa.ce of ea.h of the models tested,a.though they were not a. equiva.ent a

The objectives of the present study were: 1) to identify the prioritized ma.keta.le na.ura. products (NPs) from a.roforestry systems (a.S), a.d 2) to conduct ma.ket va.ue cha.n a.a.yses of the most importa.t a.d prioritized NPs to identify ma.kets a.d ma.keting cha.nels;a.tors, functions a.d cha.a.teristics;constra.nts a.d opportunities to entry a.d growth;opportunities for va.ue a.dition, a.d conduct a.a.ysis of strengths, wea.nesses, opportunities a.d threa.s (SWOT a.a.ysis). The study wa. conducted in the Refugees’ ca.ps a.d their hosting communities in Ea.tern Suda.. Using the pa.ticipa.ory va.ue cha.n a.a.ysis (PVCa. a.proa.h, it wa. found tha. communities in the project sites obta.ned a.multiplicity of NPs for sustena.ce a.d for increa.ing their incomes. Eight products were identified a.d ra.ked a. the most importa.t NPs with grea.est opportunities for enterprise development a. the community level. These a.e: gum a.a.ic, honey, fodder, non-timber forest products (NTFPs) a.d tree seeds. Gum a.a.ic ha. been shown to score higher ra.ks in terms of a. ma.keta.ility b) ecologica. suita.ility (a.a.la.ility), c) socia. suita.ility, a.d d) potentia. for va.ue a.dition. The results show tha. ma.keting of gum a.a.ic in the study site is cha.a.terized by a.la.ge number of producers a.d rela.ively few tra.ers a.d compa.ies work through seven ma.keting cha.nels. The results demonstra.e tha. in the customa.y ma.keting cha.nel there is a. upwa.d skewed benefit distribution a.ong the va.ue cha.n a.tors. The tota. rela.ive commercia.iza.ion ma.gin wa. 80% indica.ing tha. “tra.ers” a.crued higher proportion, while “producers”, receive less income (20%) of the end ma.ket price. Poor la.d security, one-sided prices, ta.es a.d levies, la.k of fina.ce a.d a.propria.e skills a.e ma.or impediments to gum commodity growth a.d development. a.a.ia.seya. is a.leguminous pla.t tha. pla.s a. importa.t role in the ecosystem of Sa.elia. zone by producing gum, wood a.d fodder. The growth of a. seya. is subject to ma.y constra.nts a. sa.inity which ca. a.fect the development of this tree. Therefore, soil microorga.isms ca. help a. seya. to better tolera.e the effects of nega.ive environmenta. stresses. The contribution of a.buscula. mycorrhiza. fungi (a.F) to the sa.t tolera.ce of a. seya., wa. eva.ua.ed by testing the effects of eight different a.buscula. mycorrhiza. fungi (a.F) isola.es in the performa.ce of a. seya. seedlings subjected to different levels of sa.inity (0, 340 a.d 680 mM). The results ba.ed on growth pa.a.eters of shoot a.d root pa.ts, shoot minera. N, P, K a.d Na.content a. well a. surviva. ra.es a.d mycorrhiza.ion showed tha. a.F improved minera. nutrition of a. seya. seedlings during sa.t stress. The combina.ion between a.F a.d sa.inity provided evidence tha. the efficiency of a.F isola.es were va.ia.le in improving minera. nutrition a.d morta.ity ra.e for a. seya. seedlings rela.ed to the level of sa.t stress. However, the effects of inocula.ion were va.ia.le depending to the a.F isola.e a.socia.ed with seedlings a.d the level of sa.inity, suggesting tha. intera.tions between pla.ts a.d a.F ca. be modula.ed by both a.F diversity a.d the type a.d level of a.iotic fa.tors. Rhizopha.us intra.a.ices wa. more efficient a. 680 mM Na.l in pla.t growth a.d minera. upta.e while Glomus deserticola.did not promote a.better pla.t development tha. most of the other species inocula.ed to seedlings.

It is the first time tha. the fossil footprints of a.group of Middle Eocene elepha.t a.cestors ha.e been discovered in the Gonjo Ba.in,Ea.t Tibet *** Gonjo Forma.ion is a.tributed to the Middle Eocene Epoch(U-Pb a.e=44.7±1.2 Ma.a.d consists ma.nly of purplish-red,medium-to coa.se-gra.ned sa.dstones,siltstones interbedded with mudstones,a.d conglomera.es with sedimenta.y structures like ripple ma.ks,rip-up cla.ts,a.d trough-cross bedding,suggesting fluvia.-la.ustrine *** group of fossil footprints ha. a.cha.a.teristic ova.-conca.e sha.e,a.d the toe impressions a.e *** fossil footprints a.e overstepped with a.pockma.ked texture resembling Proboscipeda.*** tha. 165 fossil footprints of the group a.e rela.ively well-preserved with different dia.eters,which is evidence of highly socia. beha.ior a.d tra.kma.ers of different a.es,including ca.ves,juveniles,a.olescents,a.d *** size frequency of the fossil footprints ena.led us to deduce the body ma.s,shoulder height,a.d hip-height distribution of the tra.kma.ers tha. crossed the Ea.t Tibet Pla.ea. 44.7 Ma.*** tra.kma.ers comprised a. estima.ed a.era.e hip-height of 111.8 cm,a. a.era.e shoulder height of 172.8 cm for ma.es/155.9 cm for fema.es,a.d a. a.era.e body ma.s of a.proxima.ely 1218.1 kg for ma.es/907.8 kg for *** a.unda.ce of fossil footprints revea.s tha. in the Middle Eocene Epoch,the environment wa. extra.rdina.ily conducive for the elepha.t a.cestors to live in the Ea.t Tibet region.
