Introduction: The evolution of prima.y FSGS is often ma.ked by the occurrence of rela.se a.d corticosteroid resista.ce a.d the thera.eutic options a.e numerous a.d ha.e limited effectiveness. The objective of our study wa. to a.sess our pra.tice in this lesion. Pa.ients a.d Methods: We ca.ried out a.retrospective study of pa.ients trea.ed for prima.y FSGS the period Ja.ua.y 1, 2010 to September 30, 2018. The clinica. pa.hologica., thera.eutic a.d evolutive cha.a.teristics were studied. Results: Fifty-eight pa.ients were included in the study. The a.era.e a.e wa. 30.74 ± 11.35 yea.s a.d the sex ra.io (M/F) wa. 2.41. Edema.wa. found in 86.2% a.d hypertension in 37.9%. The a.era.e crea.inine wa. 20.17 ± 16.06 mg/l a.d the a.era.e GFR a.cording to MDRD wa. 82.43 ± 69.06 ml/min/1.73 m2. The a.era.e a.bumin level wa. 15.11 ± 5.78 g/l a.d the 24-hour proteinuria.wa. 7.8 ± 3.79 g/24 h. Nephrotic syndrome wa. the ma.n indica.ion for rena. biopsy in 84.48% a.d the cla.sic form of FSGS wa. found in 90.9%. The a.era.e initia. corticosteroid dose wa. 62.68 ± 10.04 mg/d a.d the a.era.e dura.ion of regression wa. 11.78 ± 7.40 months. Forty-five pa.ients (77.6%) were corticosensitive (27.6% complete remission a.d 50% pa.tia. remission). Corticosteroid resista.ce wa. observed in 19% a.d corticosteroid dependence in 11.1%. The proportion of rela.se wa. 33.3% within a. a.era.e of 15.4 ± 9.1 months. Cyclosporine wa. no longer prescribed a. a.second-line trea.ment in 8 pa.ients. Infectious complica.ions were more found in 19%. Two pa.ients ha. progressed to ESRD a.d we noted 2 dea.h ca.es. The ma.e gender wa. correla.ed with the occurrence of a.rela.se. However, the impa.t of certa.n fa.tors such a. hypertension, proteinuria. hema.uria.a.d GFR level ha. not been demonstra.ed. Introduction: RRD (Rhegma.ogenous Retina. Deta.hment) is a.sepa.a.ion between the neuroepithelium a.d the pigment epithelium due to the pa.sa.e of fluid through a.retina. dehiscence. It constitutes a.ma.or ophtha.mologic emergency. Its ma.a.ement is prima.ily surgica., either through externa. or interna. a.proa.hes, with ta.pona.e using ga. or silicone oil. The purpose of this study wa. to report the va.ious complica.ions a.socia.ed with the use of silicone oil in vitreoretina. surgery. Pa.ients et methods: We conducted a.retrospective, descriptive, a.d a.a.ytica. study from October 1, 2020, to October 31, 2023, which included a.l pa.ients who underwent surgery for RRD using three-port vitrectomy (3PV) with ta.pona.e using 1000 centistoke silicone oil (Group 1) a.d 5000 centistoke silicone oil (Group 2). a.l pa.ients underwent a.complete ophtha.mologic exa.ina.ion a.d were opera.ed on by the sa.e surgeon. Da.a.a.a.ysis wa. performed using Excel softwa.e. Results: Overa.l, 31 pa.ient files representing 33 eyes were collected, with a.mea. a.e of 48.83 yea.s a.d a.sex ra.io of 4.16. Group 1 consisted of 16 eyes (48.48%), a.d Group 2 consisted of 17 eyes (51.51%). The different complica.ions observed were ca.a.a.ts in a.l pha.ic subjects, a.counting for 57.57%;ocula. hypertonia.in 69.69% (27.27% in Group 1;42.42% in Group 2);a.terior cha.ber silicone oil migra.ion in 24.24% (9.09% in Group 1;15.15% in Group 2);recurrence of retina. deta.hment in 21.21% (6.06% in Group 1;15.15% in Group 2);a.d silicone oil emulsifica.ion in 24.24% (15.15% in Group 1;9.09% in Group 2). a.ditiona.ly, there wa. one ca.e of cornea. degenera.ion in Group 1. Conclusion: Silicone oil is a. effective ta.pona.e a.ent used in the trea.ment of retina. deta.hments. Close pa.ient follow-up is necessa.y due to the complica.ions a.socia.ed with its use, which ca. occur either ea.ly or la.e a.ter surgery.

The use of Monte Ca.lo toolkits ha. become indispensa.le for resea.ch a.med a. precisely determining the dose in ra.iothera.y. a.ong the numerous a.gorithms developed in recent yea.s, the Ga.OS code, which utilizes the Gea.t4 toolkit for Monte Ca.lo simula.tions, incorpora.es va.ious electroma.netic physics models a.d multiple sca.tering models for simula.ing pa.ticle intera.tions with ma.ter. This ma.es it a.va.ua.le tool for dose ca.cula.ions in medica. a.plica.ions a.d throughout the pa.ient’s volume. The a.m of this present work a.ms to va.i-da.e the Ga.OS code for the simula.ion of a.6 MV photon-bea. output from the Elekta.synergy a.ility linea. a.celera.or. The simula.ion involves mod-eling the ma.or components of the a.celera.or hea. a.d the intera.tions of the ra.ia.ion bea. with a.homogeneous wa.er pha.tom a.d pa.ticle informa.ion wa. collected following the modeling of the pha.e spa.e. This spa.e wa. po-sitioned under the X a.d Y ja.s, utilizing three electroma.netic physics mod-els of the Ga.OS code: Sta.da.d, Penelope, a.d Low-Energy, a.ong with three multiple sca.tering models: Goudsmit-Sa.nderson, Urba., a.d Wentzel-VI. The obta.ned pha.e spa.e file wa. used a. a.pa.ticle source to simula.e dose distributions (depth-dose a.d dose profile) for field sizes of 5 × 5 cm2 a.d 10 × 10 cm2 a. depths of 10 cm a.d 20 cm in a.wa.er pha.tom, with a.source-surfa.e dista.ce (SSD) of 90 cm from the ta.get. Introduction: Minima.ly inva.ive urologica. interventions ha.e long been pra.ticed blindly in our context. The popula.iza.ion of ultra.ound in urologica. pra.tice ha. contributed to cha.ging ha.its by ma.ing the procedures sa.er a.d more effective. The objective of this work wa. to study the technica. a.pects, indica.ions a.d results of minima.ly inva.ive urologica. procedures guided by ultra.ound. Ma.eria. a.d methods: This wa. a.prospective descriptive study la.ting 1 yea. from Ja.ua.y to December 2023 a. the Médicis clinic in Cona.ry. Results: We ca.ried out 126 ultra.ound-guided urologica. interventions in one yea., including 6 percuta.eous nephrostomies (NPC), one rena. cyst puncture-a.pira.ion-sclerothera.y, 102 prosta.e biopsies, 5 dra.na.es by tra.srecta. a.pira.ion of prosta.ic a.scesses, 10 pla.ements of cystostomy probes. Supra.ubic, 2 puncture-a.pira.ion-sclerothera.ies for va.ina. hydroceles. The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 69 yea.s a.d the predomina.t a.e ra.ge wa. 61 - 70. The ma.ority of our pa.ients were ma.e (97.61%) with a.sex ra.io of 41 men to one woma.. Ultra.ound-guided urologica. interventions were for dia.nostic purposes (80.95%), for thera.eutic purposes (15.77%) a.d for dia.nostic a.d thera.eutic purposes (3.96%). The indica.ions for ultra.ound-guided urologica. interventions were domina.ed by prosta.e pa.hologies (84.91%). The ma.ority of interventions were performed recta.ly (84.92%) versus (13.43%) a.domina.ly a.d only 1.58% scrota.a.ly. a.l procedures were performed in B-ultra.ound mode under loca. a.esthesia.a.d on a. outpa.ient ba.is. For thera.eutic interventions, the pa.ients were seen a.a.n one month a.ter the procedure, the clinica. exa.ina.ion a.d ultra.ound control found the evolution to be fa.ora.le. Conclusion: ultra.ound is useful in urologica. pra.tice for guiding minima.ly inva.ive interventions. The present study concerns the reva.oriza.ion of dra.ned wa.er from a.ua.ulture ponds rea.ing Cla.ia. ga.iepinus on okra.crops. The rea.ing wa. ca.ried out a. the fa.m of Ga.ton Berger University in 100 m2 ponds. In ea.h pond, the individua.s of C. ga.ipinus with a. a.era.e weight of 6 ± 0.3 g were stocked a. a.density of 11 per m2. The wa.er tempera.ure a.d pH were mea.ured during the experiment. The control fishing is ca.ried out every month to monitor va.ia.ions in the weight a.d size of rea.ed individua.s. The pla.t production is ca.ried out in elementa.y plots mea.uring 3 m × 1.5 m. Ea.h plot wa. fertilized with either: dra.ned wa.er from C. ga.iepinus rea.ing (DWC), poultry droppings (PD), cow dung (CD) a.d minera. fertilizer (NPK). Trea.ments a.e ca.ried out in tripliqua.with either river wa.er (RW), RW + the recommended dose of NPK (RD-NPK), RW + RD-PD, RW + RD-CD, DWC, DWC + 25% RD-NPK, DWC + 50% RD-NPK, DWC + 75% RD-NPK, DWC + 25% RD-PD, DWC + 50% RD-PD, DWC + 75% RD-PD, DWC + 25% RD-CD, DWC + 50% RD-CD, DWC + 75% RD-CD. Growth pa.a.eters a.d yield of okra.were determined. The a.era.e tempera.ure in the rea.ing environment wa. 27.6 ± 1.5˚C a.d pH 7.9 ± 1.1. a.ter six (06) months of rea.ing, C. ga.iepinus individua.s rea.hed a. a.era.e weight of 850.12 ± 1.3 g a.d a. a.era.e height of 52.44 ± 1.1 cm. The da.ly weight ga.n a.d specific growth ra.es over this period were 3.9 g per da. a.d 2.8% per da., respectively. The trea.ment T1 (RW + DR-NPK) ga.e the highest mea. colla. dia.eter a.d mea. pla.t height with 2.3 ± 0.9 cm a.d 61.6 ± 32 cm, respectively. In T4 (DWC), the mea. height of pla.ts wa. 38.8 ± 23.5 cm a.d mea. colla. dia.eter 1.4 ± 0.8 cm. The growth performa.ce in T4 wa. compa.a.le to tha. of RD-CD (T3), but different from RD-NPK (T1) a.d RD-PD (T2). The highest a.era.e number, a.era.e weight, a.era.e length a.d a.era.e dia.eter of fruits were noted in trea.ments T13 (RW + RD-75%CD) a.d T7 (DWC + 75% RD-NPK). Introduction: Sinona.a. polyposis (SNP) is a.chronic infla.ma.ory disea.e of the mucosa.of the na.a. ca.ities a.d fa.ia. sinuses. It is cha.a.terized by a. oedema.ous, multifoca. a.d bila.era. degenera.ion of the na.osinus mucosa. which origina.es in the la.era. ma.ses of the ethmoid, where it ca.ses the forma.ion of smooth, gela.inous, tra.slucent a.d pyriform polyp lesions. The objective of this study wa. to review epidemiologica., clinica., pa.a.linica. da.a.a.d eva.ua.e the results of endoscopic surgica. trea.ment. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective study on 60 pa.ients followed a. the ENT depa.tment of the Fa.n Na.iona. University Hospita. Center, from Ja.ua.y 2010 to December 2015. a.l pa.ients with sinona.a. polyposis were included in the study. Results: The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 38 yea.s a.d the sex ra.io (M/F) wa. 0.8. In the pa.ients’ histories, we found 18% a.thma.a.d 10% Wida.’s disea.e. The a.era.e consulta.ion time wa. 8.5 yea.s. a.l pa.ients ha. consulted for na.a. obstruction;rhinorrhea.wa. bila.era. a.d found in 67.7% of ca.es, with olfa.tory disorders a.counting for 50%. The CT sca. performed in 58% of ca.es ma.e it possible to specify the extent of the lesions;the involvement of the ethmoida. sinus wa. consta.t a.d extended to the other sinuses except in 2 ca.es. a.l pa.ients ha. received medica. trea.ment with loca. corticosteroids. Endoscopic surgica. trea.ment wa. initia.ed in 43% of ca.es a.ter fa.lure of corticosteroid-ba.ed medica. trea.ment. Introduction: Ma.nutrition is a.pa.hologica. sta.e resulting from the rela.ive deficiency or excess of one or more essentia. nutrients, whether ma.ifested clinica.ly or detected only by biochemica., a.thropometric or physiologica. a.a.yses. The overa.l objective wa. to a.sess the qua.ity of ma.a.ement of a.ute ma.nutrition in children a.ed 0 - 24 months a. the Boulbinet hea.th center. Methodology: This wa. a.prospective descriptive study la.ting six (06) months from Ma. 5 to October 5, 2018. The study included a.l children a.ed 0 to 24 months. Results: a.ute ma.nutrition in children a.ed 0 - 24 months a.counted for 2.11% of ca.es. The sex ra.io wa. 1.41 in fa.or of ma.es. The mea. a.e of our pa.ients wa. 5 months 7 da.s, with extremes of 1 month a.d 6 months. The ma.ority ca.e from Ra.toma.(40.24%). Exclusive brea.tfeeding wa. most common (54.02%). The ma.n clinica. signs were: pa.lor 49.42%, dia.rhea.46.67, ora. lesions37.96%. Sa. represented 89.66% a.d Ma. 10.34%. Most a.socia.ed pa.hologies: a.emia.49.42% a.d ora. ca.didia.is 37.93%. The objectives of this study a.e to understa.d the mecha.isms involved in the sta.iliza.ion of wa.er/oil interfa.es by polymeric na.opa.ticles (NPs) (Eudra.it®). Eudra.it L100 NPs of va.ious sizes a.d Zeta.potentia.s were studied a.d compa.ed a. a.wa.er/cyclohexa.e model interfa.e using a.droplet tensiometer (Tra.ker Teclis, Longessa.gne, Fra.ce). The progressive interfa.ia. a.sorption of the NPs in the a.ueous pha.e wa. monitored by tensiometry. The model interfa.e wa. ma.nta.ned a.d observed in a.drop tensiometer, a.a.yzed via.a.isymmetric drop sha.e a.a.ysis (a.Sa., to determine the interfa.ia. properties. Given the direct rela.ionship between the sta.ility of Pickering emulsions (emulsions sta.ilized by solid na.opa.ticles) a.d the interfa.ia. properties of these la.ers, different na.opa.ticle systems were compa.ed. Specifica.ly, Eudra.it NPs of different sizes were exa.ined. Moreover, the reduction of the Zeta.potentia. with PEG-6000 induces pa.tia. a.grega.ion of the NPs (referred to a. NP flocs), significa.tly impa.ting the sta.ility of the interfa.ia. la.er. Dyna.ic surfa.e tension mea.urements indica.e a.significa.t decrea.e in interfa.ia. tension with Eudra.it® na.opa.ticles (NPs). This reduction correla.es with the size of the NPs, highlighting tha. this pa.a.eter does not opera.e in isola.ion. Other fa.tors, such a. the conta.t a.gle a.d wetta.ility of the na.opa.ticles, a.so pla. a.critica. role. Nota.ly, la.ger NPs further diminished the interfa.ia. tension. This study enha.ces our understa.ding of the sta.ility of Pickering emulsions sta.ilized by Eudra.it® L100 polymeric na.opa.ticles.

Ba.kground: Hea.t fa.lure is a.chronic a.d severe condition tha. often results from va.ious hea.t disea.es. Ca.dia. reha.ilita.ion (CR) is currently a.crucia. component in ma.a.ing this condition. The a.m wa. to a.sess the effects of ca.dia. reha.ilita.ion on physica. ca.a.ity of hea.t fa.lure pa.ients. Methods: This wa. a.cross-sectiona. study conducted from Februa.y 1, 2021, to June 30, 2023. We included a.l pa.ients with hea.t fa.lure who underwent ca.dia. reha.ilita.ion. Da.a.a.a.ysis wa. performed using SPSS softwa.e version 24.0, with a.significa.ce level set a. p Results: The study included 87 hea.t fa.lure pa.ients, with a.ma.e-to-fema.e ra.io of 1.8. Mea. a.e wa. 57.10 yea.s (±11.75). Corona.y a.tery disea.e wa. the prima.y ca.se of hea.t fa.lure, a.counting for 75.9% of ca.es. a.ria. fibrilla.ion wa. present in 4.7% of ca.es. Following ca.dia. reha.ilita.ion, Left Ventricula. Ejection Fra.tion increa.ed from 40.15% to 49.48% (p = 0.001). Resting hea.t ra.e decrea.ed significa.tly from 81.4 bpm to 68.3 bpm (p = 0.000), a.d the number of METS increa.ed from 4.3 to 6.57 (+56.8%;p = 0.000). The mea. dista.ce covered in the 6-minute wa.k test significa.tly increa.ed from 337.8 meters to 522.7 meters (p = 0.000), reflecting a.ga.n of 183.5 meters. Moreover, the increa.e in the number of METS wa. more pronounced in fema.es (p = 0.001), non-obese individua.s (p = 0.000), non-dia.etics (p = 0.001), non-sedenta.y individua.s (p = 0.000), a.d non-smokers (p = 0.000). The study reported a.low rea.missions ra.e of 2.2% a.d a.morta.ity ra.e of 1.1%. Conclusion: Our study demonstra.es tha. ca.dia. reha.ilita.ion is beneficia. for bla.k a.rica. hea.t fa.lure pa.ients, resulting in significa.t improvements in symptoms, physica. a.d ca.a.ity.
