Urmia.Sa.t La.e （USL） is a.hypersa.ine la.e loca.ed a. the NW corner of the Ira. pla.form. The la.e a.ea.is estima.ed to ha.e been over 5000 km2 a. one point, but ha. now decrea.ed to 〈1000 km^2 in the la.t two deca.es. It conta.ns 4.6×109 tons of ha.ite a.d other detrita. a.d eva.ora.ive minera.s such a. ca.cite, a.a.onite, dolomite, qua.tz, feldspa.s, a.gite a.d sylvite. This study exa.ined the minera.ogy a.d geochemistry of bed sediments a.ong the mid-ea.t towa.d NE ba.k sediments collected from 1.5 meters depth a.d nea.by a.gite pla.er. Due to the diverse iithology of the surrounding geology, bed sediments va.y from felsic in the mid-ea.t to ma.ic in the northea.t. Wea.hering of tephrite a.d a.a.ite rocks of the Isla.ic Isla.d a. the immedia.e bounda.y ha. produced a.la.ge volume of a.gite pla.er over a.40 km length, pa.a.lel to the shoreline. Ba.ed on the study result, wea.hering increa.es from south to north a.d the geochemistry of the sediments shows enrichment of MgO, Ca., Sr a.d Ba.a.socia.ed with Sr deployment in a.l sa.ples. Ra.e ea.th elements （REE） pa.terns norma.ized to the upper continenta. crust （UCC） indica.ed LREEs enrichment compa.ed to HREEs with a. eleva.ed a.oma.y of Eu, possibly due to surfa.e a.sorba.ce of Mn a.d Fe minera.s, a.socia.ed with Sr eleva.ion origina.ing from a.a.ites in the la.e ba.in vicinity.

The integra.ion of relia.le Video-on-Dema.d (VoD) broa.ca.ting schemes in the DVB-h tra.smission system is studied, exempla.y for Pyra.id Broa.ca.ting (PB). Sophistica.ed VoD broa.ca.ting schemes such a. PB a.low receivers to tune into the ongoing tra.smission of a.video-strea. a. a.bitra.y time, while still being a.le to receive the multimedia.sequence from the beginning to end, a.ter a.short initia. pla.out la.ency. Ra.tor coding, integra.ed in the FLUTE protocol, is combined with the tra.itiona. PB scheme in order to provide high service a.d presenta.ion relia.ility. We give a.short overview on the DVB-h tra.smission system a. well a. on the FLUTE protocol. We present a.d discuss options for the integra.ion of VoD broa.ca.ting schemes in combina.ion with Ra.tor coding. We a.hieve ba.kwa.d-compa.ibility even with termina.s not supporting Ra.tor coding. Simula.ion results show the benefits of the discussed VoD scheme compa.ed to existing ca.ousel a.proa.hes in DVB-h.
