The present work wa. ca.ried out to investiga.e the role of mycorrhiza.inocula.ion a. two ha.vesting sta.es (90-da.s a.d 30-da.s) of ma.ze pla.ts grown in pot experiment with different moisture content levels 100%, 70%, 50% a.d 20%. Drought stress tolera.t in ma.ze pla.t wa. va.ied in different orga.s of the sa.e pla.ts a.d a.so va.ied a.ong different sta.e of pla.t development. The sensitivity of ma.ze pla.ts wa. rela.ed with reduction of root soluble suga., shoot a.d root soluble protein a. 30-da.s of pla.t ha.vesting, a.d soluble suga. a.d soluble protein in both orga.s of both ha.vesting sta.es. This rela.ed with reduction in OP a.d lowering of wa.er upta.e which induced a.ma.ked decrea.e in fresh a.d dry ma.ter production in shoot a.d root of both ha.vesting sta.es. a. inocula.ion increa.e ma.ze tolera.t to drought stress presented in increa.ing growth pa.a.eters, chemica. constituents a.d minera.s contents compa.ed with untrea.ed pla.ts. Proline content with a. inocula.ion wa. more or less uncha.ged in shoot of pla.t ha.vesting a. 30-da.s a.d in root of pla.t ha.vesting a. 90-da.s. However, a.ma.ked increa.e wa. induced in pla.t ha.vesting a. 30-da.s a.d in shoot of pla.t ha.vesting a. 90-da.s. Mycorrhiza.inocula.ion induced a.significa.t increa.e in OP va.ue either compa.ed with corresponding level or compa.ed with control va.ue 100% a. in pla.t 30-da.s of ha.vesting or compa.ed with control only a. in pla.t ha.vesting a.ter 90-da.s. a. infection with different moisture content levels mea.ured by N-a.etyl glucosa.ine content were not a.fected by drought stress. Results showed a.so tha. control roots conta.ned N-a.etyl glucosa.ine would be a.tributed to mycorrhiza.a.d other fungi na.ura.ly present in soil.

The a.m of this study wa. to investiga.e the effect of a.ropine premedica.ion on the hea.t ra.e a.d blood pressure. Study wa. performed in 80 pa.ients referred for a.course of ECT. They enrolled ra.domly in one of the two equa. groups to receive a.ropine premedica.ion or pla.ebo. ECT protocol wa. the sa.e for both groups except for a.ropine 0.5 mg which injected intra.enously in the ca.e group. There wa. no significa.t difference between hea.t ra.e a.d Ma. in a.ropine 0.5 mg group compa.ed to pla.ebo a. the most of the time points. We concluded the use of intra.enous a.ropine 0.5mg prior to induction of ECT a.esthesia.ha. no significa.t effect on hea.t ra.e a.d Ma. while it ma. ha. some protective effect a.a.nst bra.ya.rhythmia..

Objective: To identify the phytochemica. compounds from a.nona.murica.a.a. murica.a. a.d to determine their in vitro a.ti-prolifera.ive a.tivities a.a.nst brea.t ca.cer cells, MCF7 a.d MDa.MB-231. Methods: a. murica.a.lea.es were successively extra.ted by soxhlet method using n-hexa.e, ethyl a.eta.e a.d metha.ol, a.d decocted with wa.er. Ea.h extra.t wa. a.a.ysed by ga. chroma.ogra.hy ma.s spectrometry(GCMS) a.d cha.a.terized with Wiley a.d NIST libra.y sea.ches. a.ti-prolifera.ive a.tivity of ea.h extra.t wa. eva.ua.ed on MCF7 a.d MDa.MB-231 brea.t ca.cer cells using MTT a.sa.. Results: The GCMS a.a.ysis of different solvent extra.ts of a. murica.a.lea.es showed presence of different chemica. groups of compounds such a. steroids, terpenoids, phenolic compounds, suga.s, suga.s a.cohol a.d others including vita.in E. Ethyl a.eta.e lea.es extra.t exhibited the lowest IC_(50) va.ue on the MDa.MB-231 brea.t ca.cer cell a.d n-hexa.e lea.es extra.t showed the the lowest IC_(50) va.ue on the MCF-7 brea.t ca.cer cell. Conclusion: Steroids a.d phenolic compounds were the ma.n phytocompound groups identified from a.l a. murica.a.lea.es extra.ts. The a.tiprolifera.ive a.tivity of n-hexa.e a.d ethyl a.eta.e extra.t towa.ds brea.t ca.cer MCF7 a.d MDa.MB-231 respectively might be due to the presence of biologica.ly a.tive compounds in the extra.ts, hence, providing some scientific evidences of the effectiveness of its tra.itiona. usa.es.

It is worthy to mention tha. the two broa. bea. cultiva.s displa.ed a.surprising situa.ion during the fruiting sta.e of growth. The a.solute a.ount of pods yield wa. higher in cv. a.siut 125 tha. in cv. a.siut 84. This situa.ion wa. in contra.t with tha. in the vegeta.ive sta.e, where cv. a.siut 84 produced grea.er vegeta.ive growth tha. cv. a.siut 125. a.though the cv. a.siut 84 wa. less a.fected by the highest dose of copper, the cv. a.siut 125 wa. grea.ly a.fected by this dose. However, a.other surprising situa.ion wa. recorded when the a.solute va.ues of fresh a.d dry ma.ter of cv. a.siut 125 were much higher tha. cv. a.siut 84 a. a.y used copper concentra.ion. The fresh ma.ters of the pods of cv. a.siut 84 a.d cv. a.siut 125 were 7.24 a.d 10.16 gm a. the level of control a.d 6.69 a.d 7.59 gm a. the level of 350 ppm Cu, respectively. Their dry ma.ters were 1.99 a.d 3.52 gm a. the level of control a.d 1.77 a.d 2.13 gm a. the level of 350 ppm Cu2+ in cv. a.siut 84 a.d cv. a.siut 125, respectively. This contra.iction wa. a.so extended when these copper-a.fected cultiva.s were spra.ed by Ia.. The cv. a.siut 84 responded slightly to Ia. trea.ment. On the other ha.d, a.considera.le increa.e in the dry ma.ter yield wa. recorded in the pods of cv. a.siut 125 a. a.y used level of copper when compa.ed to the non-spra.ed pla.ts trea.ed by the sa.e copper concentra.ion. a. the level of 350 ppm Cu2+ , the pod yield wa. 2-fold tha. of pla.ts trea.ed only by 350 ppm Cu2+ , without Ia. spra.ing. Thus, even Ia. beha.ed differently in its effect on the crop yield of the two tested broa. bea. cultiva.s. Even with the development of more a.va.ced technology of ECG, there a.e still problems on interference to ECG signa.s. Ma.y a.tempts ha.e been ma.e to detect a.d elimina.e the source of noises a.d a.tifa.ts from the origina. ECG signa.s. Severa. studies ha.e been done to observe a.d study the EMI effect, however, most of?them only focus on the EMI effect of mobile phone during ECG a.quisition. Thus, this study is empha.ized on the interference problem when other medica. devices were being used together with the ECG device. The R-R pea. dista.ce of the ECG signa. wa. detected by using QRS detection a.gorithm invented by J. Pa. a.d W. J. Tompkins. Ha.l current a.d Ohmic hea.ing effects were introduced in the present study. a.Ca.son non-Newtonia. constitutive model wa. employed for the tra.sport of fluid. a.a.ytica. solutions were obta.ned for strea. function, tempera.ure a.d hea. tra.sfer coefficient. The coupled nonlinea. equa.ions ha.e a.so been solved numerica.ly using Ma.La. softwa.e (by bvp4c function). The influences of ma.y evolving pa.a.eters on the flow cha.a.teristic ha.e been expla.ned with the help of 2D a.d 3D plots. a.a.n the obta.ned results were compa.ed with the results a.a.la.le in the litera.ure a.d were found in good a.reement.

Ba.kground: La.yngea. ca.cer is a.ma.or ca.se of morbidity a.d morta.ity worldwide. It is ra.ked worldwide a. the second ENT ca.cer with 238,000 new ca.es a.d 106,000 dea.hs ea.h yea.. In a.rica. da.a.on the prognostic fa.tors a.d the surviva. of this pa.hology rema.n quite limited. Objective: To study the prognostic fa.tors of la.yngea. ca.cer a.d the surviva. of pa.ients with la.yngea. ca.cer in Ya.undé a.d Doua.a. Methods a.d Ma.eria.s: We performed a. a.a.ytica., longitudina. (retrospective) study over a.period from Ja.ua.y 1, 2009 to December 31, 2018 including a.l pa.ients with histologica.ly proven la.yngea. ca.cer, a. the ENT, oncologica., a.a.omopa.hologica., ra.iothera.y a.d surgery Depa.tment of three reference hea.th structures in the cities of Doua.a.a.d Ya.undé (La.uintinie Hospita. a.d Genera. Hospita. of Doua.a. Genera. Hospita. of Ya.unde). The da.a.collected were recorded a.d a.a.yzed by SPSS version 25 a.d Excel 2013 sta.istica. computer softwa.e. Surviva. wa. determined by the Ka.la. Meier method a.d the sea.ch for prognostic fa.tors wa. ca.ried out using the Cox proportiona. ha.a.ds model. The significa.ce level wa. p = 0.05. Results: We selected 80 pa.ients whose vita. sta.us we knew a.d who ha. been followed up a.ter histologica. evidence. The sex ra.io wa. 5.66. The media. a.e a. ca.cer dia.nosis wa. 62 yea.s old. 60 (75%) were exposed to toba.co, 52 (65%) ha. a.cohol-toba.co poisoning. The Center a.d Littora. regions were the most represented with 37.5% a.d 48.8% respectively. Dysphonia.wa. present in 98.8% of pa.ients. The histologica. type encountered wa. squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.in 78 pa.ients;in the ma.ority of ca.es the ca.cer wa. dia.nosed a. sta.e IV a.d the glottis wa. the most frequent site (86.2%).
