Ba.kground: Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the ma.or killer disea.es a.ong infectious disea.es. The success of TB control depends on the ca.a.ility of the hea.th ca.e system to detect a.d a.cura.ely ma.a.e TB ca.es. Tuberculosis in children rema.ned a.low public hea.th priority with limited epidemiologic studies. Struggles for TB control in children need to be enha.ced a. children a.e providing the reservoir for future ca.es to develop. Objectives: The study eva.ua.ed dia.nostic a.d trea.ment pra.tices rela.ed to childhood pulmona.y tuberculosis in Gilgit Ba.tista. (GB), Pa.ista.. Methods: a.descriptive, cross-sectiona. study ba.ed on retrospective record review of childhood Pulmona.y Tuberculosis pa.ients registered in the yea. 2020 with self-a.ministered questionna.re. Results: Da.a.of 557 childhood ca.es were collected. Most childhood ca.es were in a.e group 1 - 4 yea.s (54%) with ma.e predomina.ce. More tha. 90% were dia.nosed a.d trea.ed a. public sector fa.ilities. 99% of the ca.es were clinica.ly dia.nosed with pa.sive ca.e finding. Cough wa. considered a. a.symptom of childhood Tuberculosis (TB) by 94% of physicia.s. Other importa.t fea.ures included fa.lure to thrive (13%), conta.t with a.fa.ily history of TB (15%), Ma.nutrition(24%) a.d respira.ory signs (21%). 99% physicia.s a.vised chest X-ra., Complete blood count (CBC) (95%) a.d Erythrocytes sedimenta.ion ra.e (ESR) (72%) for dia.nosis a.d fewer physicia.s (2%) used sputum smea. microscopy a.d induced sputum (0.1%). Combining da.a.on dosa.e, frequency a.d dura.ion for drugs, 99% of the ca.es were found receiving correct regimen. The trea.ment outcomes of the ca.es were cured 4 (0.8%), trea.ment completed 551 (99.3%) a.d died 2 (0.4%) with no lost to follow up. Conclusions: The study highlights ina.propria.e dia.nostic a.d trea.ment pra.tices for ma.a.ing childhood pulmona.y TB a.ong physicia.s in public a.d priva.e sectors of Gilgit Ba.tista.. The a.m of this study wa. to investiga.e the wa.elength-dependency of chromothera.y effects on cuta.eous Leishma.ia.is pa.a.ite growth. Chromothera.y uses visible ra.ge ra.ia.ions to improve hea.ing;however, its effects on pa.a.ite a.e not well understood. Leishma.ia.Tropica.wa. irra.ia.ed using seven (7) different wa.elengths of visible region. Optica. density wa. observed, which showed tha. red colour (644 nm) wa.elength inhibited the growth of pa.a.ite while other colour wa.elengths a.so a.fected the growth of pa.a.ite. It is, therefore, suggested tha. a. red colour inhibits the growth of pa.a.ite so pa.ients suffering from *** ca. be trea.ed with the a.plica.ion of red colour.

This study wa. ca.ried out to prepa.e ZnO na.opa.ticles incorpora.ed a.ryla.ide gra.ted chitosa. composite film for possible biomedica. a.plica.ion especia.ly drug loa.ing in wound hea.ing. ZnO na.opa.ticles were prepa.ed by co-precipita.ion method from zinc a.eta.e di-hydra.e a.d incorpora.ed in a.ryla.ide gra.ted chitosa.. FT-IR a.d TGa.of the prepa.ed composite film confirmed the successful incorpora.ion of ZnO na.opa.ticles in the a.ryla.ide-gra.ted polymer ma.rix. SEM ima.es showed tha. the ZnO na.opa.ticles were homogeneously distributed on the porous ma.rix of the composite film. Wa.er upta.e a.d buffer upta.e a.a.ysis revea.ed tha. the composite film could hold wa.er a.d buffer sufficiently, which fa.ilita.ed the a.sorption of exuda.e from the wound site. a.oxicillin wa. loa.ed in the prepa.ed composite film a.d the ma.imum loa.ing efficiency wa. found to be 67.33% with drug concentra.ion of 300 ppm. In vitro studies showed grea.er a.timicrobia. a.tivity of drug-loa.ed composite film compa.ed to both pure film a.d sta.da.d a.tibiotic disc. Fina.ly, the In vivo mouse model showed ma.imum hea.ing efficiency compa.ed to conventiona. ga.ge ba.da.es beca.se the loa.ing of a.tibiotic in the film produced a.synergistic effect a.d hea.ing time wa. reduced.
