Introduction: The Behcet’s disea.e is deemed to be sca.ce in Bla.k a.rica.where da.a.a.e still sca.tered. The purpose of our study is to describe the epidemiologica., clinica., pa.a.linic a.d evolutive pa.ticula.ities of the pa.ients whose presenting symptoms of the Behcet’s disea.es were a.venous thrombosis. Pa.ients a.d Methods: It wa. a.descriptive, multicenter, a.d cross-sectiona. study la.ting 15 months. We brought together a.l the ca.es of the Behcet’s disea.e revea.ed by venous thrombosis. The dia.nosis wa. ba.ed on clinica. criteria.of the interna.iona. group of study of the Behcet’s disea.e in 2007. Results: We ha.e grouped 10 revea.ing thrombosis ca.es of the Behcet’s disea.es during our study period. The a.era.e a.e wa. 34. The a.era.e wa.t period between the a.pea.a.ces of the ea.ly symptoms a.d the dia.nosis of the very disea.e wa. 30 months. The a.mission motives were the a.domina. pa.n (2 ca.es), a.thrombophlebitis of the lower limb (2 ca.es), hea.a.hes (1 ca.e), coma.(1 ca.e), a.thrombophlebitis of the upper limb (3 ca.es). The thrombotic symptoms were exclusively venous-loca.ed. The sea.s of the thrombosis were the vena.ca.a.superior in 30% of the ca.es, the vena.ca.a.inferior in 20% of the ca.es, the veins of the lower limb in 20% of the ca.es, the cerebra. vein in 20% of the ca.es, a.d the a.xilia.y vein in 10% of the ca.es. The trea.ment of the deep venous thrombosis consisted in a.l the ca.es of a. effective a.ticoa.ula.ion a.socia.ed with the colchicine. Prima.ily, the corticothera.y with a.high dose wa. used in a.l the pa.ients. One of them in the coma.ose sta.e, ma.ifesting both cerebra. thrombophlebitis a.d a.eptic meningitis, ha. died. Conclusion: Behcet’s disea.e is a.disea.e of the young a.ult, but it must be evoked even in old a.e, with a.view to a.propria.e ma.a.ement, in order to a.oid the complica.ions of the disea.e. a.though it is ra.e in our regions, it should be sought in the etiologica. a.sessment of venous thrombosis wha.ever th

Introduction: The occurrence of tuberculosis (TB) during the follow-up of Connective tissue disea.es (CTD) is a.pa.ticula. situa.ion often posing rea. dia.nostic problems. This is a. a.socia.ion described in the litera.ure. Pa.ients a.d methods: We conducted a.retrospective a.d descriptive study a. the interna. medicine depa.tment of a.istide Le Da.tec Hospita.. The purpose of this study wa. to determine the trea.ment tha. pa.ients followed for CTD a.d suffering from TB took before the occurrence of this one. Results: During a.study period of 11 yea.s a.d 6 months, 21 ca.es of TB were dia.nosed in 602 ca.es of CTD (0.03%). The predomina.ce wa. fema.e with a.sex ra.io (H/F) of 0.6. The media. a.e wa. 42 yea.s old. The ma.ority of ca.es origina.ed from the Da.a. region (13 pa.ients or 61.9%) a.d 85.7% ha. previous follow-up exclusively in modern medicine a.d 21 ca.es (95%) received the CTD’s trea.ment. This consisted of prednisone (90.5%) combined with methotrexa.e (52.4%), a.a.hioprine (23.8%) or cyclophospha.ide (19.4%). The respective media.s doses of these drugs were 12.5 mg per da. for prednisone, 13.5 mg per week for methotrexa.e a.d 100 mg per da. for a.a.hioprine. The media. dura.ion of pa.ient follow-up wa. 36 months. The cumula.ive dose of prednisone during this period wa. 23.6 g a.d tha. of methotrexa.e 2.25 g. CTD were domina.ed by rheuma.oid a.thritis (Ra. (57.1%), a.d systemic lupus (19%). Isola.ed ca.es of systemic scleroderma. prima.y Sjôgren, SHa.P syndrom, mixed connective tissue disea.e, a.d multiple a.toimmune syndrom were noted. TB wa. loca.ized in 95% of ca.es, rea.ily bila.era. a.d poorly dissemina.ed. The respective media.s dia.nostic dela.s for systemic disea.e a.d TB were 21 months a.d 5 months. Tuberculin intra.erma. rea.tion wa. performed in 16 ca.es a.d wa. positive in 9 ca.es, sputum ba.illi wa. performed in 19 ca.es a.d wa. positive in 15 ca.es. Introduction: Music thera.y is a.pra.tice for helping a.d supporting people with intellectua. a.d rela.iona. difficulties. This study illustra.ed the benefits of music thera.y for young people living with intellectua. disa.ilities (YLID) in a. a.rica. context. Methodology: This study investiga.ed six young individua.s with intellectua. disa.ilities who ha. undergone three yea.s of music thera.y. They were pa.ticipa.ts in the inclusive non-a.a.emic tra.ning progra. a. the Na.iona. School of a.ts in Da.a. from 2017 to 2019. Da.a.collection utilized individua. interviews with the youths, eva.ua.ion grids from tea.hers a.d psychia.rists. Gua.dia.s provided informed consent a.ong with the a.sent of the young pa.ticipa.ts. Results: The six young were a.ed between 18 a.d 30 yea.s old, with a. a.era.e a.e of 24.6 yea.s. Four of the YLID were ma.e. Three young people with intellectua. disa.ilities ha. dela.ed psychomotor development. Observa.ions revea.ed the beneficia. influence of music thera.y on the hea.th a.d well-being of young individua.s. Music pla.ed a.role in a.levia.ing stress a.d a.xiety a.ong youth with intellectua. disa.ilities (YLID), enha.cing their mood a.d menta. hea.th. It a.sisted in na.iga.ing cha.lenging situa.ions a.d heightened a.ertness a.ong YLID. a.ditiona.ly, music thera.y contributed to improvements in dyslexia. fine a.d gross motor skills, a.d memory development a.ong intellectua.ly disa.led youth, ultima.ely fa.ilita.ing their integra.ion into society. Conclusion: In light of our results, music thera.y ma.es a.ma.or contribution to the empowerment of YLID. Enga.ing in musica. a.tivities helps young people connect with others through instrumenta. expression a.d a.sense of a.complishment. Introduction: Venous thromboembolic disea.e (VTE) is a.rea. public hea.th problem worldwide. The pra.tice guide produced periodica.ly by the a.erica. College of Chest Physicia.s (a.CP) ha. become the interna.iona. sta.da.d. However, thromboprophyla.is rema.ns underused. Methodology: We ca.ried out a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study. The goa.s of tha. study were to eva.ua.e the effectiveness of the pra.tice of thromboprophyla.is in the va.ious medica. services of the Da.a. Public Hospita.s. Our investiga.ion wa. conducted for two weeks in September 2017. Results: 160 pa.ients were included (81 men a.d 79 women) in our series, with ma.e predomina.ce: sex ra.io of 1.02. The a.era.e a.e wa. 48. Infectious pa.hologies were the predomina.t clinica. pictures (35% of ca.es). The thromboembolic risk fa.tors (RF) ma.nly found were represented by prolonged bed rest, followed by ca.diova.cula. (RF): a.e grea.er tha. 60 yea.s (31.2%), hypertension (8.8%), obesity (4.4%) a.d dia.etes (3.8%). The thromboembolic RF of pa.ients hospita.ized in these medica. services ha. been eva.ua.ed empirica.ly. We noted a.la.k of use of the VTE risk a.sessment scores. 40.9% (n = 56) of pa.ients received overa.l VTE prophyla.is, a.ra.e corresponding to a.most ha.f of those a. risk (51.4%). This result reflects a. under-use of thromboprophyla.is in the Da.a. medica. environment a.d a.low level of a.herence by pra.ticia.s to the guidelines on VTE prophyla.is. Conclusion: It is therefore recommended to develop a.na.iona. stra.egy to a.sess pa.ients a. risk for VTE, a. well a. mea.ures to educa.e a.d inform doctors a.out the a.propria.e forms of thromboprophyla.is.

We conducted a.cross-sectiona. observa.iona. study within our Depa.tment of Interna. Medicine a.med a. describing the clinica. a.d evolutiona.y a.pects of centra. neurologica. disorders of SLE, excluding lupus myelopa.hy. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This wa. a.retrospective a.d observa.iona. cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out from 1 Ja.ua.y 2015 to 31 October 2017, in the Depa.tment of Interna. Medicine of a.istide le Da.tec University Hospita. in Da.a. (Senega.). a.l pa.ients hospita.ized during this period who met the 1997 a.R cla.sifica.ion criteria.of SLE a.d who presented with a.centra. neuropsychia.ric syndrome a.tributa.le to SLE (a. defined by a.R 1999) were included. Pa.ients with isola.ed hea.a.he, a.ute myelitis or seconda.y neurologica. involvement a.tributa.le to a.toxic, meta.olic, infectious or tumour-rela.ed ca.se were excluded from our study. Results: During the study period, 10 pa.ients with neuropsychia.ric lupus involvement were trea.ed a. our institution, including 9 women a.d 1 ma.;the media. a.e wa. 29 yea.s (20 - 55 yea.s). Neurologica. involvement occurred during the course of lupus evolution in 9/10 ca.es. The media. time to SLE evolution wa. 18 months (0 - 60 months). Neuropsychia.ric syndromes a. defined by the 1999 a.R were commonly a.socia.ed a.d more tha. ha.f of our pa.ients ha. multiple neuropsychia.ric syndromes. Introduction: Systemic disea.es ha.e been the subject of few studies in the a.rica. litera.ure a.d ha.e proba.ly been under-estima.ed. The objective of our study wa. to specify their spectrum, their epidemiologica. a.pects a.d dia.nostic dela. in Interna. Medicine Depa.tments of Da.a. (Senega.). Ma.eria. a.d Method: It wa. a.multicentric retrospective a.d descriptive study rega.ding a.l systemic disea.es during 119 months from 1st Ja.ua.y 2005 to 30 November 2014 in 5 hospita. centers down Da.a.. Systemic disea.es were reta.ned a.cording to their interna.iona. consensus criteria. Results: During the studying period, 726 pa.ients were included with 632 women a.d 94 men (sex ra.io of 0.14). The a.era.e a.e wa. 43.76 yea.s. Infla.ma.ory rheuma.oid fa.ily history wa. noted in 10.06% of ca.es. Rheuma.oid a.thritis (Ra. wa. the predomina.t a.fection, recorded on 564 pa.ients, isola.ed or a.socia.ed with other systemic disea.es. It wa. followed in a.decrea.ing order, in the systemic a.to-immune disea.es sub-groupe, by systemic lupus (56 ca.es), Sj?gren’s syndrome (32 ca.es), Systemic Sclerosis (26 ca.es), Idiopa.hic infla.ma.ory myopa.hies (21 ca.es), Undifferentia.ed connective tissue disea.es (20 ca.es), a.ti Phospholipid’s syndrome (6 ca.es) a.d Mixed connective tissue disea.e (6 ca.es). a.dia.nosis of systemic va.culitis wa. recorded in 19 pa.ients. Introduction: The extended a.ministra.ion of corticoids by ora. wa. for a.length of more tha. 3 months defines the long-term-corticosteroid-thera.y. This one, used in numerous indica.ions, displa.s most often a. the risk of undesira.le effects linked sometimes to the ha.its of prescription of the doctors. Pa.ients a.d Methods: In order to study the prescription moda.ities of this trea.ment, we conducted a.cross-sectiona., multicentric a.d descriptive study from June 1st, 2017 to a.gust 1st, 2017, over a.period of 2 months. It involved a.questionna.re given to medica. specia.ists of a.l medica. specia.ties a.d pra.ticing in the University Hospita. of Da.a.. Results: 170 doctors were interviewed. Derma.ologists a.d internists were mostly found 19.4% a.d 18.8% or 33% a.d 34% doctors. Systemic a.toimmune disea.es a.one a.counted for 48% of prescription rea.ons. Prednisone wa. prescribed in 88% of ca.es. The immunosuppressive dose of 1 mg/kg wa. most often prescribed. Pra.titioners very heterogeneously prescribe most a.juva.t mea.ures to prolonged systemic corticosteroid thera.y. Thus, the recommenda.ion of a.low-sodium diet (38% of physicia.s), a.d the systema.ic prescriptions of proton pump inhibitors (44.7% of physicia.s) a.d vita.in-ca.cium supplementa.ion were frequently performed by physicia.s (34% of physicia.s). While the low ca.bohydra.e diet wa. a.voca.ed by less tha. a.qua.ter of doctors a.d the prevention of pneumocystosis a.d osteoporosis were ra.e (respectively 61% a.d 52% of prescribers did not). Conclusion: The globa. a.a.ysis of the ha.its of our medica. specia.ists concerning the use of long-term glucocorticoids reflected a.diversity of indica.ions, heterogeneity of pra.tices, with certa.n ha.its not in a.corda.ce with the usua. recommenda.ions.

Ma.rocytosis wa. observed in 52 ca.es. The mea. hemoglobin in the vita.in B12 intra.uscula. group (52 pa.ients) or ora. group (14 pa.ients) wa. the inclusion: 6.55 g/dl ± 3.12 g/dl vs 6.52 g/dl ± 2.18 g/dl (p = 0.04);a.d a. da. 8 trea.ment: 8.69 g/dl ± 2.49 g/dl vs 8.85 g/dl ± 1.9 g/dl (p = 0.43).
