In this letter, va.ia.iona. homotopy perturba.ion method (VHPM) ha. been studied to obta.n solita.y wa.e solutions of modified Ca.a.sa.Holm a.d Dega.peris-Procesi equa.ions. The results show tha. the VHPM is suita.le for solving nonlinea. differentia. equa.ions with fully nonlinea. dispersion term. The tra.elling wa.e solution for a.ove equa.ion compa.ed with VIM, HPM, a.d exa.t solution. a.so, it wa. shown tha. the present method is effective, suita.le, a.d relia.le for these types of equa.ions.

This work wa. conducted to study the extra.tion of euca.yptus oil from na.ura. pla.ts (Euca.yptus ca.a.ulensis lea.es) by orga.ic solvents. the effects of the ma.n opera.ing pa.a.eters were studied;type of solvent (n-hexa.e a.d etha.ol), time to rea.h equilibrium, the tempera.ure (45°C to 65°C) for n-hexa.e a.d (45°C to 75°C) for etha.ol, solvent to solid ra.io (5:1 to 8:1 (v/w)), a.ita.ion speed (0 to 900 rpm) a.d the pa.ticle size (0.5 to 2.5 cm) of fresh lea.es to find the best processing conditions for the a.hieving ma.imum oil yield. The concentra.ion of euca.yptus oil in solvent wa. mea.ured by using UV-spectrophotometer. The results (for n-hexa.e) showed tha. the a.ita.ion speed of 900 rpm, tempera.ure 65°C with solvent to solid ra.io 7:1 (v/w) of pa.ticle size 0.5 cm for 210 minute give the highest va.ue of oil (68.5 wt%). Simila. conditions for etha.ol with the exception of the tempera.ure (75°C) give the highest yield of oil (65.07 wt%).

Wild cotton species ca. contribute a.va.ua.le gene pool for a.ronomica.ly desira.le cultiva.ed tetra.loid cultiva.s. In order to exploit diploid cotton a.regenera.ion system is required to a.hieve tra.sforma.ion ba.ed goa.s. The present studies a.med a. optimizing the conditions for regenera.ion of loca. va.ieties a. well a. wild species of cotton. Different ca.lus induction media.were tested with va.ying concentra.ions of hormones in which sucrose wa. used a. nutritiona. source. Different expla.ts (hypo-cotyls, cotyledon, root) were used to check the regenera.ion of both loca. cotton pla.ts a.d wild rela.ives using T & G medium, Ba. medium, CIM medium, EMMS medium, a.d cell suspension medium. Different sta.es of embryogenicity such a. ea.ly torpedo sta.e, la.e torpedo sta.e, hea.t sta.e, globula. sta.e a.d cotyledona.y sta.e were observed in wild rela.ives of cotton. The results of this study pa.e the wa. for esta.lishing future tra.sforma.ion methods.
