The Oil pa.m industry ha. turned out to be one of the la.gest flourishing industries in Ma.a.sia.these *** is owing to the fa.t tha. petroleum prices ha.e skyrocketed in the la.t deca.e which presented a.good opportunity for oil pa.m a. a. a.terna.ive for *** this increa.e in dema.d,environmenta. ma.a.ement in the pa.m oil industry is a. issue of ma.or *** the Pa.m Oil processing there is a.surplus of by-products a. utiliza.ion ra.e of these byproducts is low especia.ly for Pa.m Oil Mill Effluent,Empty fruit Bunch a.d Deca.ter ca.e (DC).This pa.er ta.es a.brief look a. the va.ious uses of these wa.tes with empha.is on our work on deca.ter *** ca.e (una.ended soil ***,10,20 a.d 30 % w/w DC) wa. used a. a. a.endment to soil for the growth of vegeta.les (la.y’s finger,brinja. a.d toma.o).Effects on seed germina.ion a.d seedling growth,morphologica. cha.a.teristics a.d growth pa.tern a.ong the three pla.ts were studied a.d results showed tha.10% DC a.endment in a.l three pla.ts ha. simila. germina.ion pa.tern (70%) wherea. germina.ion in 30%DC a.endment wa. very low for toma.o a.d la.y’s finger a.d high for brinja. *** wa. significa.t difference between the shoot lengths in the control of la.y’s finger a. compa.ed to the other trea.ments (10-30%) unlike the root lengths which showed no significa.t differences a.ross the 3 *** supplement,Susta.na.ility,Deca. ter ca.e Pa.m oil mill wa.tes,Dosa.e
