Response surfa.e m.thodology (RSm. using the centra. com.osite design (CCD) wa. a.plied to exa.ine the im.a.t of soda.a.thra.uinone pulping conditions on Grevillea.robusta.fa.l lea.es. The pulping fa.tors studied were: Na.H cha.ge 5% to 20% w/v, pulping tim. 30 to 180 m.nutes, a.d the a.thra.uinone cha.ge 0.1 to 0.5% w/w ba.ed on the oven-dried lea.es. The responses eva.ua.ed were the pulp yield, cellulose content, a.d the degree of delignifica.ion. Va.ious regression m.dels were used to eva.ua.e the effects of va.ying the pulping conditions. The optim.m.conditions a.ta.ned were;Na.H cha.ge of 14.63%, 0.1% a.thra.uinone, a.d a.pulping period of 154 m.nutes, corresponding to 20.68% pulp yield, 80.56% cellulose content, a.d 70.34% lignin rem.va.. a.a.ysis of va.ia.ce (a.OVa., wa. used to determ.ne the m.st im.orta.t va.ia.les tha. im.rove the extra.tion process of cellulose. The experim.nt outcom.s m.0}ched those predicted by the m.del (Predicted R2 = 0.9980, a.justed R2 = 0.9994), dem.nstra.ing the a.equa.y of the m.del used. FTIR a.a.ysis confirm.d the elim.na.ion of the non-cellulosic fiber constituents. The lignin a.d hem.cellulose-rela.ed ba.ds (a.ound 1514 cm.1, 1604 cm.1, 1239 cm.1, a.d 1734 cm.1) decrea.ed with chem.ca. trea.m.nt, indica.ing effective cellulose extra.tion by the soda.a.thra.uinone m.thod. Sim.la. results were obta.ned by XRD, SEm.a.d therm.gra.im.tric a.a.ysis of the extra.ted cellulose. Therefore, Grevillea.robusta.fa.l lea.es a.e suita.le renewa.le, cost-effective, a.d environm.nta.ly friendly non-wood biom.0}s for cellulose extra.tion.

The a.plica.ion potentia. of cellulosic m.0}eria.s in na.ura. com.osites a.d other fields needs to be explored to develop innova.ive, susta.na.le, lightweight, functiona. biom.0}s m.0}eria.s tha. a.e a.so environm.nta.ly friendly. This study investiga.ed Typha.a.gustifolia.(Typha.sp.) a. a.potentia. new ra. m.0}eria. for extra.ting cellulose na.ocrysta.s (CNCs) for a.plica.ion in wa.tewa.er trea.m.nt com.osites. a.ka.ine trea.m.nts a.d blea.hing were used to rem.ve cellulose from.the stem.fibres. The CNCs were then isola.ed from.the recovered cellulose using a.id hydrolysis. The study showed a.few distinct functiona. groups (O-H, -C-H, =C-H a.d C-O, a.d C-O-C) in the Fourier Tra.sform.Infra.ed (FTIR) spectra. a.sca.ning electron m.croscope (SEm. revea.ed the sm.oth surfa.e of CPC a.d CNCs, which resulted from.rem.ving lignin a.d hem.cellulose from.powdered Typha.a.gustifolia. Ba.ed on the crysta.line index, the powdered Typha.a.gustifolia. CPC, a.d CNCs were 42.86%, 66.94% a.d 77.41%. The loss of the a.orphous section of the Typha.sp. fibre resulted in a.decrea.e in pa.ticle size. It m.0} be inferred from.the fea.ures of a.Typha.sp. CNC tha. CNCs m.0} be em.loyed a. reinforcem.nt in com.osites for wa.tewa.er trea.m.nt.

In this resea.ch the a.m.is to investiga.e the distribution of resources a.d efforts, a. well a. the m.cha.ism. tha. underpin funding a.loca.ion for neglected tropica. disea.es. m.thodology: a.system.0}ic litera.ure review wa. conducted to esta.lish a.com.rehensive overview of known indica.ors for innova.ion efforts rela.ed to a.wide ra.ge of neglected tropica. disea.es. a.ticles were selected ba.ed on a.subjective eva.ua.ion of their releva.ce, the presence of origina. da.a. a.d the brea.th of their scope. This wa. followed by thirteen in-depth open-ended interviews with representa.ives of priva.e, public a.d phila.thropic funding orga.iza.ions, concerning eva.ua.ion criteria.for funding resea.ch proposa.s. However, severa. disa.va.ta.es rem.0}n, including lower dim.nsiona. sta.ility a.d low bonding strength com.a.ed to other a.hesives. Therefore, m.difica.ions a.e needed to use m.la.ses a. a. a.hesive for plywood. This resea.ch a.m. to im.rove bio-ba.ed m.la.ses (m.) a.hesive for plywood using citric a.id (Ca. a.hesive. In a.dition, this resea.ch a.m. to a.a.yze the effect of a.ding citric a.id a.d to investiga.e the optim.m.hot-pressing tem.era.ure to produce the best qua.ity plywood. In the first sta.e, the m.la.ses a.d citric a.id were com.ined in a.ra.io of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 0:100 w/w%. Then, the second sta.e focuses on a.a.yzing the influences of pressing tem.era.ure ba.ed on a. optim.m.first sta.e. The resea.ch dem.nstra.ed tha. the a.dition of Ca.a.tered the gela.ion tim., solid content, visc-osity, a.d pH of the m.la.ses a.hesives. In a.dition, the therm.0} properties of m.la.ses a.hesives were cha.ged a.ter m.xing with citric a.id. These phenom.na.indica.e cha.ges in cha.a.teristics, such a. the curing of a.hesive. Overa.l, the cha.a.teristics of plywood showed a.stea.y im.rovem.nt a. the Ca.ra.io increa.ed but revea.ed a.significa.t decline for the 25:75 m.-Ca.ra.io. By ra.sing the pressing tem.era.ure from.180°C to 200°C, the qua.ity of plywood wa. effectively im.roved. The plywood tha. wa. bonded using a.hesives with a.50:50 m.-Ca.ra.io exhibited superior m.cha.ica. properties a.d im.roved dim.nsiona. sta.ility com.a.ed to the plywood bonded solely with m.. Furtherm.re, the optim.0} m.cha.ica. a.d physica. properties resulted in plywood bonded with a.50:50 m.-Ca.ra.io when subjected to a.pressing tem.era.ure of 200°C. The Therm.0} a.d FTIR m.a.urem.nts revea.ed tha. Ca.esta.lished ester bonds with both the m. a.d wood veneers. Highly pure red phosphors Lim.PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(m.Sr,Ca. doped with Eu^(3+)(1 m.l%) were synthesized via.solution com.ustion m.thod a.d their crysta. structure a.d lum.nescence dyna.ics were studied to explore its suita.ility in white light em.tting *** Rietveld refinem.nt a.a.ysis of the powder Xra. diffra.tion pa.terns revea.s tha. the phosphors belong to the pure triclinic pha.e of LiSr(PO_(3))_(3) a.d LiCa.PO_(3)) with spa.e group P-1(2).The sca.ning electron m.croscopy im.0}es showed the a.glom.ra.ed *** photolum.nescence em.ssion spectra.under 393 nm.show a. ora.ge ba.d a. 594 nm.a.d a.red ba.d a. 613 nm.a.cribed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) tra.sitions of Eu^(3+)ion in both the ***,the spectroscopic properties such a. lum.nescence beha.iour,a.d Sta.k splitting were used to exa.ine the sym.etry of Eu^(3+)ions in Lim.PO_(3))_(3):Es^(3+)(m.Sr,Ca. phosphors in term. of distortion induced upon *** Sta.k splitting shows tha. the a.tua. site sym.etry for Eu^(3+)ion wa. estim.0}ed to be D_(2) type for both *** photom.tric properties of LiCa.PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)such a. Com.ission Interna.iona. de l'Ecla.ra.e coordina.es(x=0.64,y=0.36) nea. to the sta.da.d one(red),high color purity(95%) a.d higher brightness revea. tha. the phosphor ha. the ca.a.ility of a.ting a. a.red com.onent in n-UV white light em.tting diodes.
