Qua.tum effects on Ra.leigh-Ta.lor insta.ility of a.stra.ified incompressible pla.ma. la.er under the influence of vertica. ma.netic field a.e investiga.ed. The solutions of the linea.ized equa.ions of motion together with the bounda.y conditions lea. to deriving the rela.ion between squa.e norma.ized growth ra.e a.d squa.e norma.ized wa.e number in two a.gebra.c equa.ions a.d a.e numerica.ly a.a.yzed. In the ca.e of the rea. solution of these two equa.ions, they ca. be combined to genera.e a.single equa.ion. The results show tha. the presence of vertica. ma.netic field beside the qua.tum effect will bring a.out more sta.ility on the growth ra.e of unsta.le configura.ion.

The la.tice Boltzma.n method （LBM） is a.useful technique for simula.ing multipha.e flows a.d modeling complex physics. Specifica.ly, we use LBM combined with a.direct-forcing （DF） immersed bounda.y （IB） method to simula.e fluid-pa.ticle intera.tions in two-pha.e pa.ticula.e flows. Two grids a.e used in the simula.ion： a.fixed uniform Euleria. grid for the fluid pha.e a.d a.La.ra.gia. grid tha. is a.ta.hed to a.d moves with the immersed pa.ticles. Forces a.e ca.cula.ed a. ea.h La.ra.gia. point. To excha.ge numerica. informa.ion between the two grids, discrete delta.functions a.e used. The resulting DF IB-LBM a.proa.h is then successfully a.plied to a.va.iety of reference flows, na.ely the sedimenta.ion of one a.d two circula. pa.ticles in a.vertica. cha.nel, the sedimenta.ion of one or two spheres in a. enclosure, a.d a.neutra.ly buoya.t prola.e spheroid in a.Couette flow. This la.t a.plica.ion proves tha. the developed a.proa.h ca. be used a.so for non-spherica. pa.ticles. The three forcing schemes a.d the different fa.tors a.fecting the simula.ion （a.ded ma.s effect, corrected ra.ius） a.e a.so discussed.

Dyna.ic ya. sta.ility deriva.ives of a.gull bird a.e determined using Computa.iona. Fluid Dyna.ics（CFD） method. Two kinds of motions a.e a.plied for ca.cula.ing the dyna.ic ya. sta.ility deriva.ives CNr a.d CNβ. The first one rela.es to a.la.era. tra.sla.ion a.d, sepa.a.ely, to a.ya. rota.ion. The second one consists of a.combined tra.sla.iona. a.d rota.iona. motion. To determine dyna.ic ya. sta.ility deriva.ives, the simula.ion of a. unstea.y flow with a.bird model showing a.ha.monic motion is performed. The flow solution for ea.h time step is obta.ned by solving unstea.y Euler equa.ions ba.ed on a.finite volume a.proa.h for a.sma.l reduced frequency. Then, a. eva.ua.ion of unstea.y forces a.d moments for one cycle is conducted using ha.monic Fourier a.a.ysis. The results of the dyna.ic ya. sta.ility deriva.ives for both simula.ions of the model show a.good a.reement.
