The GRa.L experimenta. set-up consists of a.pola.ized a.d ta.ged photon bea. tha. covers a. energy ra.ge from a.minimum of 600 MeV up to a.ma.imum of 1500 MeV, of a.liquid Hydrogen or Deuterium ta.get a.d of the 4π La.ra.ge detector optimized for photon detection. It a.lows the study of pseudo-sca.a. a.d vector meson photoproduCtion on the nucleon in the energy ra.ge corresponding to the second a.d the third resona.ce regions. In the following, the ∑ bea. a.ymmetries in η a.d π0 photoproduction on qua.i-free nucleon a.e shown. a.so single a.d double pola.iza.ion observa.les in K＋a.photoproduction on free proton a.e shown; they a.e importa.t to confirm the role of new or poorly known resona.ces in the 1900 MeV ma.s region.

The concept of region of sensitivity is centra. to the field of diffuse optics a.d is closely rela.ed to the Ja.obia. ma.rix used to solve the inverse problem in *** is well known tha.,in diffuse reflecta.ce,the region of sensitivity a.socia.ed with a.given source-detector pa.r is sha.ed a. a.ba.a.a.a.d fea.ures ma.ima. sensitivity to the portions of the sa.ple tha. a.e closest to the source a.d the *** ha.e recently introduced a.dua.-slope(DS)method ba.ed on a.specia. a.ra.gement of two sources a.d two detectors,which results in deeper a.d more loca.ized regions of sensitivity,resembling the sha.es of different kinds of ***,we report the regions of sensitivity a.socia.ed with a.va.iety of source-detector a.ra.gements for DS mea.urements of intensity a.d pha.e with frequency-doma.n spectroscopy(modula.ion frequency:140 MHz)in a.medium with a.sorption a.d reduced sca.tering coefficients of 0.1 a.d 12 cm^(-1),*** ma.n result is tha. the depth of ma.imum sensitivity,considering only ca.es tha. use source-detector sepa.a.ions of 25 a.d 35 mm,progressively increa.es a. we consider single-dista.ce intensity(2.0mm),DS intensity(4.6mm),single-dista.ce pha.e(7.5mm),a.d DS pha.e(10.9 mm).These results indica.e the importa.ce of DS mea.urements,a.d even more so of pha.e mea.urements,when it is desira.le to selectively probe deeper portions of a.sa.ple with diffuse *** is certa.nly the ca.e in non-inva.ive optica. studies of bra.n,muscle,a.d brea.t tissue,which a.e loca.ed undernea.h the superficia. tissue a. va.ia.le depths.

Spondyloa.thropa.hies （SPa. a.e commonly observed extra.intestina. ma.ifesta.ions of both Crohn＇s disea.e （CD） a.d ulcera.ive colitis （UC）, the two ma.or forms of infla.ma.ory bowel disea.es （[BD）. However, the immunologica. link between these two clinica. entities is still poorly understood. Severa. lines of evidence indica.e tha. Spa.ma. origina.e from the reloca.ion to the joints of the immune process prima.ily induced in the gut. The tra.sfer of the intestina. infla.ma.ory process into the joints implica.es tha. immune cells a.tiva.ed in the gut-dra.ning lymph nodes ca. loca.ize, a. a.certa.n point of the intestina. disea.e, either into the gut or into the joints. This is indica.ed by the overla.ping expression of a.hesion molecules observed on the surfa.e of intestina. a.d synovia. endothelia. cells during infla.ma.ion. Moreover ba.teria. a.tigens a.d HLa.B27 expression ma. be implica.ed in the rea.tiva.ion of T cells a. the a.ticula. level. Fina.ly, a.cumula.ing evidence indica.es tha. a.T helper 17 cell-media.ed immune response ma. contribute to IBD a.d IBD-rela.ed Spa.with a.crucia. role pla.ed by tumor necrosis fa.tor-α in CD a.d to a.lesser extent in UC.
