Introduction: a.bula.ory Blood Pressure Mea.urement (a.PM) is a.non- inva.ive exa.ina.ion recommended for subjects a. high ca.diova.cula. risk, a.d those requiring a.nocturna. drop in BP such a. elderly a.d obese subjects, those with seconda.y hypertension or resista.t, dia.etics, subjects with meta.olic syndrome or sleep a.nea.syndrome. The objective of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the contribution of a.PM in the dia.nosis a.d eva.ua.ion of the level of control of hypertension under trea.ment a. the Bel a.r interna.iona. clinic. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This is a.retrospective, cross-sectiona. a.d descriptive study, ca.ried out a. the Bel a.r Interna.iona. Clinic in Cona.ry (Guinea. between Ja.ua.y 2019 a.d November 30, 2022. It included a.consecutive series of 180 consenting pa.ients recruited through a. a.bula.ory mea.urement of 24-hour blood pressure from a.FUGa.a.bra.d device. Results: We collected 180 pa.ients, with a.ma.e predomina.ce (sex-ra.io M/F = 2.46). The mea. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 48.48 ± 14.23 yea.s. The most represented a.e group wa. tha. of 32 to 42 yea.s with 50 ca.es (27.8%) followed by tha. of 43 to 52 yea.s with 42 ca.es or 23.3%. The indica.ion wa. for dia.nostic purposes in 106 ca.es 58.9%, the thera.eutic eva.ua.ion in 58 pa.ients (32.2%). The exa.ina.ion wa. prescribed by a.ca.diologist in 98 ca.es (54.4%), a.genera. pra.titioner in 71 ca.es (39.4%), a.neurologist in 11 ca.es (6.1%). In the thera.eutic eva.ua.ion, high blood pressure wa. controlled in 24 pa.ients (13.3%) a.d uncontrolled in 34 ca.es (18.9%). In the dia.nostic indica.ion, high blood pressure wa. confirmed in 79 ca.es (43.9%) with a.sta.istica.ly significa.t link (Chi2 = 4.57 a.d p-va.ue = 0.032). The nycthemera. mea. wa. 187.27 ± 26.22 mmHg for systolic blood pressure (SBP) a.d 110.37 ± 19.06 mmHg for dia.tolic blood pressure (DBP), during the da., 151.64 ± 21.45 mmHg for SBP a.d 71.59 ± 8.67 mmHg for dia.tolic blood pressure. Introduction: Goitre is an increase in the volume of the thyroid gland. Goiters may be congenital or acquired, diffuse or nodular, functional or non-functional, benign or malignant. Purpose: The objectives of this work were to study and determine the frequency of benign goitre in the general surgery department of CHU Gabriel Touré, and to study epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects. Patients and Method: This was a retrospective and prospective study conducted in the general surgery department of CHU Gabriel Touré, from January 1999 to December 2019. Included in the study were all patients with benign goiter confirmed in histology, hospitalized and treated in the service. Patients with thyroid malignant tumours, strumite, thyroid tract cyst, cervical abscess and neck trauma were not retained. Socio-demographic, clinical, para-clinical, therapeutic and post-operative aspects were the study parameters. Word processing and tables were done with Microsoft Word and Excel 2016 software. Introduction: a.norma. or involunta.y movements correspond to a.disorder in the progra.ming a.d/or execution of movement. They ha.e two cha.a.teristics;they a.e ha.dly or not a. a.l controlled by the will a.d occur in the a.sence of a.y pa.a.ysis. Objective: To determine the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d etiologica. cha.a.teristics of a.norma. (involunta.y) movements in children a.ed 2 months to 15 yea.s. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective, descriptive study from Ja.ua.y 2016 to December 2018 of children a.ed 2 months to 15 yea.s seen in neuropedia.ric consulta.ions for a.norma. movements. Results: During the study period 1920 children were seen in neuropedia.ric consulta.ions a.d 57 presented with a.norma. movements, i.e. a.frequency of 2.96%. Children a.ed between 6 a.d 60 months were the most a.fected (54.4%). The sex ra.io wa. 1.53. Movement a.norma.ity wa. the most common rea.on for consulta.ion (45.7%), followed by a.yretic convulsions (28%), a.d la.ity (5.3%). The onset wa. progressive in 68.4% of children. The ma.n types of a.norma. movements were chorea.(31.6%), dystonia.(26.3%), myoclonus (17.5%), tremor in 10.5%. The ca.ses were infectious (73.68%). Conclusion: a.norma. movements a.e ra.e in pa.dia.ric pra.tice. They ha.e multiple ca.ses a.d their ma.a.ement is urgent in certa.n situa.ions tha. ca. jeopa.dise the future of children.

Introduction: Deep vein thrombosis is a frequent disease, its origin is most often multifactorial. Venous thromboembolic disease (MVTE) and cancer are two frequently entangled pathologies. Here we report the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis that discovered prostate cancer in an 88-year-old Guinean man. On clinical examination, there was a painful and hot swelling of the right leg, an absence of sloshing of the calf, a positive sign of Homans. The digital rectal examination revealed an enlarged prostate with an irregular surface. Cardiopulmonary auscultation was normal. The electrocardiogram showed a regular sinus rhythm at 65 cycles/min, with no sign of enlarged cavities or conduction disturbance. Venous Doppler ultrasound of the lower limbs showed the presence of an extensive acute deep venous thrombosis of the right sural vein extended to the popliteal and to the homolateral deep femoral. The reino-vesico-prostatic ultrasound concluded in a heterogeneous prostatic hypertrophy with projection of a median lobe associated with a bladder of fight with an important post voiding residue evaluated at 170 ml;the rate of specific antigen of the prostate PSA was at 84.87 ng/ml. The pathology analysis made after a prostate biopsy puncture concluded with an adenocarcinoma with a Gleason score of 3. Conclusion: The association of venous thromboembolic disease (MVTE) and neoplasia is frequent. The existence of active cancer in a patient is a known risk factor for MVTE and, conversely, the discovery of a first episode of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE) may be the mode of revelation of cancer.

Methodology: We rea.ized a.forwa.d-looking study from September, 2016 in Ma. 31st, 2018 in the la.ora.ory of a.a.omy of the Fa.ulty of Medicine a.d Odontostoma.ology of Ba.a.o in Ma.i. a.l the fresh a.a.omica. subjects not ca.rying tra.ma.a.d or a.sca. a. the level of the previous region of the neck were held. The a.a.omica. subjects were not included presenting a.tra.ma.ic lesion a.d\or a.sca. of the previous region of the neck. Results: We rea.ized 34 dissections of the externa. bra.ch of the superior la.yngea. nerve to 17 dea.hly subjects (11 men a.d 6 women with a.sex-ra.io of 1.8). The a.era.e a.e of the subjects wa. of 42 yea.s (extremes: 18 a.d 70 yea.s). Our study a.lowed highlighting in 100% of the ca.es, the externa. bra.ch of the superior la.yngea. nerve a.d the superior thyroid a.tery so to the right a. to the left. On 34 dissected externa. bra.ch of the superior la.yngea. nerve, none ha. a.previous route. However we found 28 nerves (82.4%) ha.ing a.la.er route, stuck to the externa. fa.e of the lower constrictor of the pha.ynx. These were not mixed with the superior thyroid a.tery a.d its bra.ch of division a.d were situa.ed outside the thyroid ca.sule. In 17.6% of the ca.es (6 ca.es), the nerve ha. a.route mixed in the bra.ch of the superior thyroid a.tery. These were found inside of the ca.sule (11.8% a.hered to the a.tery a.d 5.8% crossed its bra.ch of division). Conclusion: The risk of injury of the externa. la.yngea. nerve during thyroid surgery procedure is never zero. It is more importa.t on the left side.

Ma.eria. a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective cross-sectiona. study from June 27th to September 3rd 2016 a.out the NBs a.mitted for Na.in the Hospita. Tea.hing Ga.riel Touré of Ba.a.o. The clinica. a.d biologica. da.a.including the prognosis were collected from the hea.th records of women, the lia.son sheets a.d the medica. file. The a.a.ysis wa. done using the softwa.e Epi info version 3.5.1. Results: 76 NBs were included which represented 23.45% of hospita.iza.ions. The ma.ority (89.5%, n = 68) were a.mitted to less tha. 24 hours of life for Na.gra.e III a.cording to the Sa.na. cla.sifica.ion (43.4%, n = 33). The a.era.e a.e of mothers wa. 24.17 ± 5.5 yea.s. a.most ha.f (41.3%, n = 31) were primigra.ida. The most common obstetrica. event wa. dystocia.(64.5%, n = 49). Introduction: Stoma.h ca.cer is a.ma.igna.t tumor developed a. the expense of the ga.tric wa.l. Ga.tric ca.cer is a.common ca.cer occupying the 5th ra.k of ca.cers in the world, or 5.7% of a.l ca.cers. Purpose: To study epidemiologica., dia.nostic, thera.eutic, a.d prognostic a.pects of stoma.h ca.cer. Methodology: This wa. a.retrospective a.d prospective study, which wa. ca.ried out in the Genera. Surgery Depa.tment a. the tea.hing hospita. Ga.riel Touré between Ja.ua.y 1, 1999, a.d December 31, 2020, a.d a.l ca.es of stoma.h ca.cer were confirmed by histologica. exa.ina.ion. Result: We recorded 857 ca.es of stoma.h ca.cer or 40.1% of digestive ca.cers. The sex ra.io wa. 1.6. The a.era.e a.e wa. 55 yea.s ± 13 yea.s. The ma.n clinica. signs were epiga.tra.gia.(98.6%), vomiting (93.34%), weight loss (96.03%), a.d a.orexia.(46.1%). It wa. a.enoca.cinoma.(97.55%), a.d a.tropyloric loca.ion (78.64%). Pa.ients were Sta.e IV (72.817%) ca.es. a.ong the 857 pa.ients, 722 were opera.ed on, a.counting for 84.25% of the ca.es. Surgery wa. pa.lia.ive in 60.66% a.d cura.ive in 25.62%. Ga.trectomy of 4/5 plus D2 type cura.e wa. the most performed in cura.ive surgery. The media. overa.l postopera.ive surviva. wa. 5 months. Objective: The work a.med a. describing a. epidemioclinica., thera.eutic a.d evolutiona.y cha.a.teristics of pa.ients hospita.ized for a.rtic dissection in the ca.diology depa.tment in Point “G” Hospita. University Center in Ba.a.o—Ma.i. Methodology: It wa. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study from Ja.ua.y 2010 to Februa.y 2017 in the CHU Point G ca.diology depa.tment, including a.l pa.ients hospita.ized during this period. Results: Of 6912 hospita.ized pa.ients, 23 pa.ients were concerned by a.rtic dissection. The preva.ence of a.rtic dissection wa. 0.33%. The most a.fected a.e group wa. 50 - 69 (43.5%) of pa.ients. The predomina.ce wa. ma.e with a.sex ra.io of 4.75. The ca.diova.cula. risk fa.tors were high blood pressure (73.9%) a.d smoking (60.9%). The ma.or functiona. signs were chest pa.n (65.2%) a.d dyspnea.(65.2%). a.phygmy (56.5%) a.d brea.h of a.rtic insufficiency (60.9%) were the domina.t physica. signs. The electroca.diogra. recorded sinus ta.hyca.dia.with 86.9% of pa.ients. The ra.iogra.hic of the fronta. thora. showed media.tina.widening (73.9%). a. echoca.diogra.hy, dila.a.ion of the a.cending a.rta.wa. described with 73.9% a.d the intima. veil (47.8%). Perica.dia. effusion wa. observed with 26.1% of pa.ients. In the thora.ic a.giosca., the a.rtic dissection ga.e 43.5% for type a.a.d 56.5% for type B. The a.eurysm of the a.rta.wa. a.domina. with 21.7%, a.cending portion (13.0%) a.d descending with 8.7%. Complica.ions were domina.ed by hea.t fa.lure (47.8%) a.d a.eurysm of the a.rta.(34.8%). The letha.ity wa. 52.2%. Conclusion: a.rtic dissection is a.medica. a.d surgica. emergency with poor prediction.
