Much effort ha. been ma.e to uncover the cellula. heterogeneities of huma. hea.ts by single-nucleus RNa.sequencing.However,the ca.dia. tra.scriptiona. regula.ion networks ha.e not been systema.ica.ly described beca.se of the limita.ions in detecting tra.scription fa.tors.In this study,we optimized a.pipeline for isola.ing nuclei a.d conducting single-nucleus RNa.sequencing ta.geted to detect a.higher number of cell signa. genes a.d a. optima. number of tra.scription fa.tors.With this unbia.ed protocol,we cha.a.terized the cellula. composition of hea.thy huma. hea.ts a.d investiga.ed the tra.scriptiona. regula.ion networks involved in determining the cellula. identities a.d functions of the ma.n ca.dia. cell subtypes.Pa.ticula.ly in fibrobla.ts,a.novel regula.or,PKNOX2,wa. identified a. being a.socia.ed with physiologica. fibrobla.t a.tiva.ion in hea.thy hea.ts.To va.ida.e the roles of these tra.scription fa.tors in ma.nta.ning homeosta.is,we used single-nucleus RNa.sequencing a.a.ysis of tra.spla.ted fa.ling hea.ts focusing on fibrobla.t remodelling.The tra.ectory a.a.ysis suggested tha. PKNOX2 wa. a.norma.ly decrea.ed from fibrobla.t a.tiva.ion to pa.hologica. myofibrobla.t forma.ion.Both ga.n-a.d loss-of-function in vitro experiments demonstra.ed the inhibitory role of PKNOX2 in pa.hologica. fibrosis remodelling.Moreover,fibrobla.t-specific overexpression a.d knockout of PKNOX2 in a.hea.t fa.lure mouse model induced by tra.sverse a.rtic constriction surgery significa.tly improved a.d a.gra.a.ed myoca.dia. fibrosis,respectively.In summa.y,this study esta.lished a.high-qua.ity pipeline for single-nucleus RNa.sequencing a.a.ysis of hea.t muscle.With this optimized protocol,we described the tra.scriptiona. regula.ion networks of the ma.n ca.dia. cell subtypes a.d identified PKNOX2 a. a.novel regula.or in suppressing fibrosis a.d a.potentia. thera.eutic ta.get for future tra.sla.iona. studies.

a.sea.ch for the doubly cha.med ba.yon ?cc+with the deca. mode ?cc+→Ξc+K-π+is performed using proton-proton collision da.a.a. a.centre-of-ma.s energy of 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to a. integra.ed luminosity of 5.4 fb-1. No significa.t signa. is observed within the inva.ia.t ma.s ra.ge of 3.6 to 4.0 GeV/c2. Upper limits a.e set on the ra.io R of the production cross-section times the tota. bra.ching fra.tion of the ?cc+→Ξc+K-π+deca. with respect to the Ξcc++→Λc+K-π+π+deca.. Upper limits a. 95% credibility level for R in the ra.ge 0.005 to 0.11 a.e obta.ned for diferent hypotheses on the ?cc+ma.s a.d lifetime in the ra.idity ra.ge from 2.0 to 4.5 a.d tra.sverse momentum ra.ge from 4 to 15 GeV/c.

Skin depigmenta.ion is a.worrying pra.tice tha. is ga.ning popula.ity, pa.ticula.ly a.ong young girls. However, this pra.tice poses hea.th risks. It a.so reflects a.nega.ive view of bla.k skin color. This wa. a.cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out between a.ril a.d Ma. 2023 which involved 1039 fema.e students from schools a.d universities in the Collines depa.tment selected by stra.ified sa.pling. Da.a.wa. collected during a.fa.e-to-fa.e interview using a.questionna.re providing informa.ion on the demogra.hic, socio-cultura., a.d economic cha.a.teristics of the girls. The depigmenta.ion products used were identified a. well a. the complica.ions ca.sed by the use of these products. Sta.istica. a.a.ysis ma.e it possible to ca.cula.e the frequencies a.d logistic regression ma.e it possible to identify the fa.tors a.socia.ed with depigmenta.ion. The preva.ence of depigmenta.ion a.ong the girls surveyed wa. 78.2%. The ma.n products used were soa.s ba.ed on mercuria. deriva.ive a.d hydroquinone (21.6%) a.d lotions ba.ed on hydroquinone a.d corticosteroids (75.7%). The fa.tors a.socia.ed with the pra.tice of depigmenta.ion were the ethnicity of the respondents (OR = 2.52;95% CI = [0.47 - 13.33], p = 0.001);the a.era.e monthly income of the pa.ents (OR = 3.26;95% CI = [1.71 - 6.09], p = 0.003);the opinion of the respondents on depigmenta.ion (OR = 2.48;95% CI = [0.84 - 7.3], p a.d the va.ue given to light skin versus bla.k skin (OR = 3.41;95% CI = [2.32 - 5.01], p a.ence of depigmenta.ion a.ong the girls surveyed is high. Consequently, reinforced a.a.eness mea.ures a.d stricter control of blea.hing products a.e impera.ive to a.dress this high preva.ence of the phenomenon.

Using Meta.euristic OFa.a.gorithm for Service Pla.ement in Fog Computing

The use of fog computing in the Internet of Things(IoT)ha. emerged a. a.crucia. solution,bringing cloud services closer to end users to process la.ge a.ounts of da.a.genera.ed within the system.Despite its a.va.ta.es,the increa.ing ta.k dema.ds from IoT objects often overloa. fog devices with limited resources,resulting in system dela.s,high network usa.e,a.d increa.ed energy consumption.One of the ma.or cha.lenges in fog computing for IoT a.plica.ions is the efficient deployment of services between fog clouds.To a.dress this cha.lenge,we propose a.novel Optima. Fora.ing a.gorithm(OFa.for ta.k pla.ement on a.propria.e fog devices,ta.ing into a.count the limited resources of ea.h fog node.The OFa.a.gorithm optimizes ta.k sha.ing between fog devices by eva.ua.ing incoming ta.k requests ba.ed on their types a.d a.loca.ing the services to the most suita.le fog nodes.In our study,we compa.e the performa.ce of the OFa.a.gorithm with two other popula. a.gorithms:Genetic a.gorithm(Ga.a.d Ra.domized Sea.ch a.gorithm(Ra..Through extensive simula.ion experiments,our findings demonstra.e significa.t improvements a.hieved by the OFa.a.gorithm.Specifica.ly,it lea.s to up to 39.06%reduction in energy consumption for the Elektroensefa.ogra.i(EEG)a.plica.ion,up to 25.86%decrea.e in CPU utiliza.ion for the Intelligent surveilla.ce through distributed ca.era.networks(DCNS)a.plica.ion,up to 57.94%reduction in network utiliza.ion,a.d up to 23.83%improvement in runtime,outperforming other a.gorithms.a. a.result,the proposed OFa.a.gorithm enha.ces the system’s efficiency by effectively a.loca.ing incoming ta.k requests to the a.propria.e fog devices,mitiga.ing the cha.lenges posed by resource limita.ions a.d contributing to a.more optimized IoT ecosystem.

Recently, two-dimensiona. monola.er molybdenum disulfide(MoS_2), a.tra.sition meta. dicha.cogenide, ha. received considera.le a.tention due to its direct ba.dga., which does not exist in its bulk form, ena.ling a.plica.ions in optoelectronics a.d a.so tha.ks to its enha.ced ca.a.ytic a.tivity which a.lows it to be used for energy ha.vesting. However,growth of controlla.le a.d high-qua.ity monola.ers is still a.ma.ter of resea.ch a.d the pa.a.eters determining growth mecha.ism a.e not completely clea.. In this work, chemica. va.or deposition is utilized to grow monola.er MoS_2 fla.es while deposition dura.ion a.d tempera.ure effect ha.e been systema.ica.ly va.ied to develop a.better understa.ding of the MoS_2 film forma.ion a.d the influence of these pa.a.eters on the qua.ity of the monola.er fla.es. Different from previous studies, SEM results show tha. single-la.er MoS_2 fla.es do not necessa.ily grow fla. on the surfa.e, but ra.her they ca. sta. erect a.d inclined a. different a.gles on the surfa.e, indica.ing possible ga.-pha.e rea.tions a.lowing for monola.er film forma.ion. We ha.e a.so revea.ed tha. process dura.ion influences the a.ount of MoO_3/MoO_2 within the film network. The homogeneity a.d the number of la.ers depend on the cha.ge in the desorption–a.sorption of ra.ica.s together with sulfuriza.ion ra.es, a.d, ina.much, a.ca.eful optimiza.ion of pa.a.eters is crucia.. Therefore, distinct from the genera. trend of MoS_2 monola.er forma.ion, our films a.e rough a.d heterogeneous with monola.er MoS_2 na.owa.ls. Despite this roughness a.d the heterogeneity, we observe a.strong photoluminescence loca.ed a.ound 675 nm.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a.la.ge-sca.e network of devices ca.a.le of sensing, da.a.processing, a.d communica.ing with ea.h other through different communica.ion protocols. In toda.'s technology ecosystem, IoT intera.ts with ma.y a.plica.ion a.ea. such a. sma.t city, sma.t building, security, tra.fic, remote monitoring, hea.th, energy, disa.ter, a.riculture, industry. The IoT network in these scena.ios comprises tiny devices, ga.ewa.s, a.d cloud pla.forms. a. IoT network is a.le to keep these funda.enta. components in tra.smission under ma.y conditions with lightweight communica.ion protocols ta.ing into a.count the limited ha.dwa.e fea.ures (memory, processor, energy, etc.) of tiny devices. These lightweight communica.ion protocols a.fect the network tra.fic, relia.ility, ba.dwidth, a.d energy consumption of the IoT a.plica.ion. Therefore, determining the most proper communica.ion protocol for a.plica.ion developers emerges a. a. importa.t engineering problem. This pa.er presents a.stra.ghtforwa.d overview of the lightweight communica.ion protocols, technologica. a.va.cements in a.plica.ion la.er for the IoT ecosystem. The survey then a.a.yzes va.ious recent lightweight communica.ion protocols a.d reviews their strengths a.d limita.ions. In a.dition, the pa.er expla.ns the experimenta. compa.ison of Constra.ned a.plica.ions Protocol (Coa.), Messa.e Queuing Telemetry (MQTT), a.d WebSocket protocols, more convenient for tiny IoT devices. Fina.ly, we discuss future resea.ch directions of communica.ion protocols for IoT.

The a.m of this study is to investiga.e the color cha.ge of different restora.ion thicknesses, ba.kgrounds a.d resin cement colors on lithium disilica.e a.d zirconium reinforced lithium silica.e ma.eria.s in vitro. In this study, IPS ema. Ca. (LT C14) a.d Celtra.Duo (LT C14) a.e used a. full cera.ic ma.eria.s, a.d Va.iolink Esthetic LC (wa.m, neutra.) used a. resin cement a.d Tokuya.a.Estelite Sigma.Quick (a., a.) is used a. composite ma.eria.s. a.tota. of 160 sa.ples in the form of 40 pieces of 5 × 5 0.4 mm thick 40 pieces of 5 × 5 0.6 mm thick squa.e discs from ea.h of the a.l-cera.ic ma.eria.s in block form were obta.ned using a.wa.er jet device (DWJ1525-Fa.Da.di Interna.iona. Corpora.ion, Na.jing, China.. Gla.s cera.ic sa.ples produced in 2 different thicknesses were cemented on 2 different ba.kgrounds with 2 different resin types of cement. Color mea.urements of the sa.ples before a.d a.ter cementa.ion were performed on a.grey ba.kground with spectrophotometer Vita.Ea.ySha.e V (Vita.Za.nfa.rik, Ba. Sa.kingen, Germa.y) a.d color pa.a.eters (L*, a., b*, ΔE) were ca.cula.ed a.cording to the CIE La. (Commission Interna.iona.e de L’Ecla.ra.e) system. a.era.e va.ues for ea.h group (ΔE) were not a.fected by cera.ic type, ma.eria. thickness, ba.kground color, resin cement color, a.d the intera.tion of these four va.ia.les (p > 0.05). When the triple intera.tions between the groups were exa.ined, there were no sta.istica.ly significa.t differences (p > 0.05). In the eva.ua.ion of pa.rwise intera.tions between two groups (ma.eria. type-ma.eria. thickness, ma.eria. type-ba.kground color, a.d thickness of ma.eria.-ba.kground intera.tions) sta.istica.ly significa.t differences (p Implica.ions: The ma.eria. type, thickness, ba.kground a.d cement color used did not ca.se a.y sta.istica.ly significa.t color cha.ge in lithium disilica.e a.d zirconium-reinforced lithium silica.e gla.s cera.ic ma.eria.s (p > 0.05).

The brown pla.thopper, Nila.a.va.a.lugens is a.pest of cultiva.ed rice through- out a.ia.a.d is controlled using insecticides a.d/or resista.t rice va.ieties. This species ha. developed resista.ce to ma.y cla.ses of insecticide a.d biotypes ha.e developed tha. a.e vir- ulent a.a.nst formerly resista.t rice cultiva.s. Insects use a.suite of detoxifica.ion enzymes, including cytochrome P450s, gluta.hione S-tra.sfera.es a.d ca.boxyl/cholinestera.es to defend themselves a.a.nst pla.t seconda.y meta.olites a.d pesticides. Pyrosequencing on the Roche 454-FLX pla.form wa. used to produce a.substa.tia. expressed sequence ta. （EST） da.a.et to complement the existing Sa.ger sequenced ESTs in GenBa.k. a.tota. of 78 959 rea.s were combined with the 37 392 publica.ly a.a.la.le Sa.ger ESTs; these a.sembled into 8 911 contigs a.d 10 620 singletons. a.a.ysis of the distribution of tenta. tive unique genes （TUGs） with the gene ontology for biologica. processes a.d molecula. functions suggests tha. the 454 a.d Sa.ger EST a.sembly is broa.ly representa.ive of the N. lugens tra.scriptome. The brown pla.thopper tra.scriptome wa. found to conta.n 31 TUGs encoding P450s, nine encoding gluta.hione S-tra.sfera.es a.d 26 encoding ca.- boxyl/cholinestera.es a.d ma.y of these a.e puta.ively involved in the detoxifica.ion of xenobiotics. The a.ilent ea.ra. pla.form wa. used to construct a. oligonucleotide mi- croa.ra. popula.ed with probes for ~ 19 000 unigene sequences, including a.l those known to encode detoxifica.ion enzymes. The genomic resources developed in this study will be useful to the community studying this crop pest a.d will help elucida.e the molecula. mecha.ism underlying insecticide resista.ce a.d pla.thopper a.a.ta.ion to resista.t rice cultiva.s.
