Internet a.cess is becoming even more heterogeneous, including different wireless ba.kha.ling links, with Ka.ba.d sa.ellites a. a.possible a.terna.ive. Since communica.ion pa.h is unknown a.priori, a.option of PEP solutions to optimize TCP performa.ce over sa.ellite is discoura.ed to a.low dyna.ic network reconfigura.ions. To opposite, a. endto-end TCP performa.ce eva.ua.ion on such a.cha.lenging scena.io, with possible la.ge la.ency a.d tra.smission losses, is herein considered of pa.a.ount importa.ce. Severa. TCP va.ia.ts exist to ta.kle different a.pects of communica.ion networks. In Linux, the different TCP congestion control schemes differ from the theoretica. formula.ions a.d RFC specifica.ions, introducing a.va.ying set of optimiza.ions a.d options. This a.pect ma.es difficult to identify a.sta.da.d/reference TCP version for the proposed scena.io, while testing with the rea. protocol sta.ks is deemed necessa.y to obta.n consistent results. In a.dition, a. innova.ive end-to-end TCP, na.ely TCP Wa.e, is introduced to repla.e the tra.itiona. window-ba.ed tra.smission with a.burst-ba.ed stra.egy, representing a.va.id a.terna.ive to Linux TCP. Perista.tic motion induced by a.surfa.e a.oustic wa.e of a.viscous, compressible a.d electrica.ly conducting Ma.well fluid in a.confined pa.a.lel-pla.e microcha.nel through a.porous medium is investiga.ed in the presence of a.consta.t ma.netic field. The slip velocity is considered a.d the problem is discussed only for the free pumping ca.e. a.perturba.ion technique is employed to a.a.yze the problem in terms of a.sma.l a.plitude ra.io. The phenomenon of a.“ba.kwa.d flow” is found to exist in the center a.d a. the bounda.ies of the cha.nel. In the second order a.proxima.ion, the net a.ia. velocity is ca.cula.ed for va.ious va.ues of the fluid pa.a.eters. Fina.ly, the effects of the pa.a.eters of interest on the mea. a.ia. velocity, the reversa. flow, a.d the perturba.ion function a.e discussed a.d shown gra.hica.ly. We find tha. in the non-Newtonia. regime, there is a.possibility of a.fluid flow in the direction opposite to the propa.a.ion of the tra.eling wa.e. This work is the most genera. model of perista.sis crea.ed to da.e with wide-ra.ging a.plica.ions in biologica., geophysica. a.d industria. fluid dyna.ics.

The cha.nel rota.es with a.consta.t a.gula. speed a.out the z-a.is a.d is filled with couple stress fluid. The governing equa.ions of the cha.nel deforma.ion a.d the flow ra.e inside the cha.nel a.e derived using the lubrica.ion theory a.proa.h. The resulting equa.ions a.e solved, using the homotopy perturba.ion method（HPM）, for exa.t solutions to the longitudina. velocity distribution, pressure gra.ient, flow ra.e due to seconda.y velocity, a.d pressure rise per wa.elength. The effect of va.ious va.ues of physica. pa.a.eters, such a., Ta.lor＇s number a.d couple stress pa.a.eter, together with some interesting fea.ures of perista.tic flow a.e discussed through gra.hs. The tra.ping phenomenon is investiga.ed for different va.ues of pa.a.eters under considera.ion. It is shown tha. Ta.lor＇s number a.d the couple stress pa.a.eter ha.e a. increa.ing effect on the longitudina. velocity distribution till ha.f of the cha.nel, on the flow ra.e due to seconda.y velocity, a.d on the number of closed strea.lines circula.ing the bolus.
