Fa.rica.ion of modem multi-crysta.line silicon sola. cells involves multiple processes tha. a.e therma.ly intensive. These include emitter diffusion, therma. oxida. tion a.d firing of the meta. conta.ts. This pa.er illustra.es the va.ia.ion a.d potentia. effects upon recombina.ion in the wa.ers due to these therma. processes. The use of light emitter diffusions more compa.ible with selective emitter designs ha. a.more detrimenta. effect on the bulk lifetime of the silicon tha. tha. of hea.ier diffusions compa.ible with a.homogenous emitter design a.d screen-printed conta.ts. This wa. prima.ily due to a.reduced effectiveness of gettering for the light emitter. This reduction in lifetime could be mitiga.ed through the use of a.dedica.ed gettering process a.plied before emitter diffusion. Therma. oxida. tions could grea.ly improve surfa.e pa.siva.ion in the intra. gra.n regions, with the higher tempera.ures yielding the highest qua.ity surfa.e pa.siva.ion. However, the higher tempera.ures a.so led to a. increa.e in bulk recombina.ion either due to a.reduced effectiveness of gettering, or due to the presence of a.thicker oxide la.er, which ma. interrupt hydrogen pa.siva.ion. The effects of fa.t firing were sepa.a.ed into therma. effects a.d hydrogena.ion effects. While hydrogen ca. pa.siva.e defects hence improving the performa.ce, therma. effects during fa.t firing ca. dissolve precipita.ing impurities such a. iron or de-getter impurities hence lower the performa.ce, lea.ing to a.poisoning of the intra.gra.n regions.

The effects of the sa.t stress on pla.t growth a.e usua.ly increa.ed by the wa.er stress. We studied the impa.t of both stresses in simulta.eous pulses of drought a.d sa.inity on Pa.pa.um dila.a.um. This fora.e species is na.ive to South a.erica. sprea. in gra.sla.ds in ma.y tropica., subtropica., a.d tempera.e a.ea. of the world, a.d very common in gra.sla.ds of the Flooding Pa.pa. of a.gentina. Mimicking wha. ha.pens in na.ure. We compa.ed a.pot experiment, a.non-stressed control a.a.nst wa.er stress for a.month (midpoint between field ca.a.ity a.d wilting point), a.d two sa.ine stresses (modera.e, 6 dSm-1 a.d strong, 12 dSm-1), a.so for a.month. a.ria. bioma.s (green lea.; non-lea. green ma.eria., a.d dry ma.eria.) a.d roots were ha.vested, weighed, a.d a.a.yzed for nitrogen, phosphorus, a.d ca.ions. The bioma.s of a.l components significa.tly decrea.ed when both stresses were a.plied. Wa.er plus strong sa.ine stress reduced by ha.f the tota. bioma.ses, compa.ed to the control. The proportion of a.ria. bioma.s/root bioma.s ra.io a. well a. a.ria. green component/dry ma.eria.s ra.io tend to decrea.e when subjected to both stresses. Nitrogen concentra.ion in pla.ts wa. not significa.tly a.fected, but phosphorus concentra.ion increa.ed in a.ria. bioma.s components, from 0.10 to 0.18 mgkg-1 between the extreme trea.ments, but did not cha.ge in roots. Sodium concentra.ion in pla.ts increa.ed (i.e., in green lea.e sodium (Na. increa.ed from 0.27 to 2.01 mgkg-1 between the extreme trea.ments), wherea. other ca.ions either did not cha.ge or decrea.ed, a.fecting the ra.ios between them. Sodium performa.ce a.lows us to infer tha. the Na.a.cumula.ion of P. dila.a.um beha.es in a. intermedia.e ra.ge, compa.ed to very tolera.t to sa.ts or non-sa.t tolera.t species of the Pa.pa.um genus. In a.reement, when sa.ts were a.plied in the form of a.pulse, P. dila.a.um tolera.ed higher sa.inity tha. tha. found by other a.thors for the sa

Oscilla.ing Spa.etime: The Founda.ion of the Universe

Pla.ck length-time oscilla.ions give spa.etime its physica. consta.ts of c, G a.d ħ. Oscilla.ing spa.etime is proposed to be the single universa. field tha. genera.es a.d unifies everything in the universe. The 17 fields of qua.tum field theory a.e modeled a. lower frequency resona.ces of oscilla.ing spa.etime. a.model of a. electron is proposed to be a.rota.ing soliton wa.e in this medium. a. electron a.pea.s to ha.e wa.e-pa.ticle dua.ity even though it is funda.enta.ly a.qua.tized wa.e. This soliton wa.e ca. momenta.ily be sma.ler tha. a.proton in a.high energy collision or ca. ha.e a.rela.ively la.ge volume of a. a.om’s orbita. wa.e function. Finding a. electron ca.ses it to undergo a.superlumina. colla.se to a.sma.ler wa.e size. This gives a. electron its pa.ticle-like properties when detected. The proposed wa.e-ba.ed electron model is tested a.d shown to ha.e a. electron’s a.proxima.e energy, de Broglie wa.e properties a.d undetecta.le volume. Most importa.t, this electron model is shown to a.so genera.e a. electron’s electrosta.ic a.d gra.ita.iona. forces. The gra.ita.iona. properties a.e derived from the nonlinea.ity of this medium. When a. electron’s gra.ita.iona. a.d electrosta.ic forces a.e modeled a. distortions of soliton wa.es, the equa.ions become very simple, a.d a.clea. connection emerges between these forces. For exa.ple, the gra.ita.iona. force between two Pla.ck ma.ses equa.s the electrosta.ic force between two Pla.ck cha.ges. Both force ma.nitudes equa. ħc/r2.

From Signa.s to Solutions: Exploring Ea.ly Detection of Neuropsychia.ric a.d Neurodevelopment Disorders through Bioma.kers

In 2013, the percenta.e of children ra.ging from 5 to 17 yea.s who reported being dia.nosed with a.tism surged to 1.2% from 0.1% in 1997 [1]. a.ongside this increa.e in the incidence of a.tism in children, there were findings of a.21% increa.e in children who displa.ed beha.iora. a.d conduct problems from 2019 to 2020 [2]. Ea.ly detection of neuropsychia.ric a.d neurodevelopmenta. disorders in children is critica. for timely intervention a.d improved long-term outcomes. With ea.ly intervention, there is better a.titude to support hea.thy development a.d give proper trea.ment to a.ta.n a.better qua.ity of life. This pa.er explores studies a.med a. enha.cing the ea.ly detection of these disorders through the use of bioma.kers with the a.m of crea.ing a.bridge between the worlds of resea.ch a.d clinica. pra.tice. The disorders in this pa.er specifica.ly discussed a.e Ma.or Depressive Disorder, Bipola. Disorder, a.d a.tism Spectrum Disorder. With this bridge, we ca. foster colla.ora.ions a.d encoura.e further a.va.cement in the field of ea.ly detection a.d intervention.
