The present work proposed a.method for ma.ch Sa. a.d a.S da.a.to detect vessels ca.rying out suspicious a.tivity in the Ivoria. EEZ. Two superposition methods, detected a.S a.d Sa. da.a. ba.ed on point-to-point a.socia.ion on the one ha.d a.d point-to-line on the other ha.d, were used to detect suspicious vessels in Ivoria. ma.ine wa.ers. The results showed tha. most vessels detected in the Ivoria. EEZ do not decla.e their positions to a.oid being spotted. These funds a.e likely to pra.tice illega., undecla.ed a.d unregula.ed fishing (INN fishing). This cla.destine a.tivity is very recurrent in Ivoria. wa.ers. This is illustra.ed by the number of suspicious vessels detected by Sa. ra.a. ima.ery which is grea.er compa.ed to decla.ed or a.thorized vessels.

Ma.a.ing a.ricultura. wa.te a.d expa.ded polystyrene (EPS) poses significa.t environmenta. a.d economic cha.lenges. This study a.ms to crea.e composites from millet husks, rice husks, a.d recycled EPS, using a.ma.ufa.turing method tha. involves dissolving the polystyrene in a.solvent followed by cold pressing. Va.ious pa.ticle sizes a.d two binder dosa.es were investiga.ed to a.sess their influence on the physico-mecha.ica. properties of the composites. The mecha.ica. properties obta.ned ra.ge from 2.54 to 4.47 MPa.for the Modulus of Rupture (MOR) a.d from 686 to 1400 MPa.for the Modulus of Ela.ticity in Bending (MOE). The results indica.e tha. these composites ha.e potentia. for a.plica.ions in the construction sector, pa.ticula.ly for wood structures a.d interior decora.ion. Moreover, surfa.e trea.ments could enha.ce their dura.ility a.d mecha.ica. properties. This resea.ch contributes to the valoriza.ion of a.ricultura. a.d pla.tic wa.te a. eco-friendly a.d economica. construction ma.eria.s.

In the medica. a.d denta. field, the importa.ce a.d need for the study of ma.eria.s a.d drugs for use a. bone gra.ts or regenera.ion in injured a.ea. due to the presence of fra.tures, infections or tumors tha. ca.se extensive loss of bone tissue is observed. Bone is a.specia.ized, va.cula.ized a.d dyna.ic connective tissue tha. cha.ges throughout the life of the orga.ism. When injured, it ha. a.unique a.ility to regenera.e a.d repa.r without the presence of sca.s, but in some situa.ions, due to the size of the defect, the bone tissue does not regenera.e completely. Thus, due to its importa.ce, there is a.grea. development in thera.eutic a.proa.hes for the trea.ment of bone defects through studies tha. include a.togra.ts, a.logra.ts a.d a.tificia. ma.eria.s used a.one or in a.socia.ion with bone gra.ts. Pha.ma.eutica.s composed of bioma.eria.s a.d osteogenic a.tive substa.ces ha.e been extensively studied beca.se they provide potentia. for tissue regenera.ion a.d new stra.egies for the trea.ment of bone defects. Sta.ins work a. specific inhibitors of 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-gluta.yl coenzyme a.reducta.e (HMG-Coa.educta.e). They represent efficient drugs in lowering cholesterol, a. they reduce pla.elet a.grega.ion a.d thrombus deposition;in a.dition, they promote a.giogenesis, reduce the β-a.yloid peptide rela.ed to a.zheimer’s disea.e a.d suppress the a.tiva.ion of T lymphocytes. Furthermore, these substa.ces ha.e been used in the trea.ment of hypercholesterolemia.a.d corona.y a.tery disea.e. By inhibiting HMG-Coa.educta.e, sta.ins not only inhibit cholesterol synthesis, but a.so exhibit severa. other beneficia. pleiotropic effects. Therefore, there ha. been increa.ing interest in resea.ching the effects of sta.ins, including Simva.ta.in, on bone a.d osteometa.olic disea.es. However, sta.ins in high doses ca.se infla.ma.ion in bone defects a.d inhibit osteobla.tic differentia.ion, nega.ively contributing to bone repa.r.
