Introduction: the objective was to describe the epidemiological and histological aspects of malignant abdominal tumors in children. Methodology: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study conducted from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018. We included all patients aged 0 to 15 years with histologically confirmed abdominal malignancies. Results: We collected 46 files of malignant tumors of the abdomen (35% of pediatric cancers). The majority of patients were under 5 years old (65%). The sex ratio was 1.7. They were generally from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds (67%). The average consultation time was 50 days. The main reasons for consultation were abdominal mass (48%), pain (17%) or distension (9%). The mass was large, hard (89%), immobile (71%) and painful (46%). Malnutrition was found in 80% of patients. The mass was retro-peritoneal in 63% of cases and renal in 54%. It was solid in 94% of cases and heterogeneous in 76% of cases. The assay for tumor markers was not performed. Anemia was present in all patients. Fine needle aspiration was performed in 43%, biopsy in 37% and myelogram in 15% of cases. spinal cord involvement was observed in 28% of Burkitt’s cases. The main cancers diagnosed were nephroblastoma (52%), Burkitt’s lymphoma (26%) and neuroblastoma (13%). Stage 1 and stage 2 were frequent in 20% and 22% of cases, respectively;36% of cases were not staged. The average duration of chemotherapy was 11 weeks. Total resection was performed in 30% of cases. The outcome of the patients was marked by total remission in 65%. Conclusion: Abdominal malignancies are very common in children. The diagnosis of certainty is late in our context.a.>

Objective: Screen the foot a. risk in dia.etic pa.ients a. the hospita. of Ma.i. Methods: It wa. a.cross-sectiona. study from Ja.ua.y 1st, 2016 to June 30, 2016, a. the Depa.tment of Interna. Medicine a.d endocrinology of the Hospita. of Ma.i. It wa. focused on a.l hospita.ized dia.etic pa.ients. Results: Thirty-two (32) pa.ients ha. a.foot a. risk a.ong 76 dia.etic pa.ients during the study period representing 42.10%. The sex ra.io wa. 0.52. Type 2 dia.etes a.counted for 82%. a.glycemic imba.a.ce (HBa.C > 7%) wa. observed in 88.15%. Eighteen percent (18%) of pa.ients ha. a.history of ulcera.ion or a.puta.ion;33% were wa.king ba.efoot;78.9% ha. tingles in the foot;31.6% ha. intermittent cla.dica.ion;64.5% ha. foot clea.liness;8% cla. toes;42% ha. a.olition or reduction of superficia. tenderness to monofila.ent a.d 21% ha. mixed foot (neuropa.hy + a.teriopa.hy). In our study, 58.9% of pa.ients ha. no risk of podia.ry. Conclusion: Screening of foot a. risk is essentia. in the ma.a.ement of dia.etes beca.se it determines the podia.ric risk ena.ling to minimize future functiona. disa.ilities.

The extra.ts inhibited pro-infla.ma.ory enzymes by more tha. 40% a. only 100 µg/mL. Foca. segmenta. glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is cha.a.terized histologica.ly by hya.inosis a.d sclerosis of glomeruli a.socia.ed or not with podocyte involvement. The objective of our work wa. to cla.ify the epidemiologica. a.pects a.d histologica. va.ia.ts of FSGS in Côte d’Ivoire. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.descriptive retrospective study, conducted from Ja.ua.y 2015 to December 2019 using the rena. biopsy registers (RB) of the Pa.hologica. a.a.omy a.d Cytology depa.tments of the Tea.hing Hospita. of Cocody a.d Boua.e in colla.ora.ion with the Nephrology Services of Côte d'Ivoire a.d the sub-region. The biopsies underwent conventiona. histopa.hology a.d/or immunofluorescence techniques. The pa.a.eters a.a.yzed were: frequency, a.e, gender, proteinuria. biopsy indica.ions a.d histologica. a.pects a.d the different correla.ions between histologica. a.pects a.d socio-demogra.hic cha.a.teristics. Results: FSGS represented 58.1% (n = 104) of glomerula. nephropa.hies. The a.era.e a.e of pa.ients wa. 32.1 ± 13.3 yea.s, with extremes of 13 a.d 70 yea.s. The sex ra.io wa. equa. to 1. Nephrotic syndrome (68.9%), chronic rena. fa.lure (14.3%) a.d a.ute rena. fa.lure (10.1%) were the ma.n indica.ions for rena. biopsy (RB). The mea. proteinuria.a. the time of dia.nosis wa. 4 ± 3.7 g/24 h. It wa. ma.sive (3.5 g/24 h) in 42.3% of pa.ients. FSGS wa. prima.y in 29.8% (n = 31) a.d seconda.y in 70.2% (n = 73) of pa.ients, of which 27.9% (n = 35) wa. due to HIV. a.cording to the Columbia.cla.sifica.ion, 62.5% NOS type wa. found;23.1% colla.sing type;7.7% tip lesion type;4.8% cell type a.d 1.9% perihila.y type. Conclusion: FSGS is a.complex heterogeneous entity. It a.fects young people in our context with a.homogeneous gender distribution. Understa.ding its histogenesis is essentia. for optima. pa.ient ma.a.ement.
