Introduction: Biometrics therefore corresponds to the mea.urement of the morphologica. elements of huma.s. One of the most common ultra.ound requests by clinicia.s is the a.sessment of liver size. The a.m of our study wa. to study liver biometry using ultra.ound in hea.thy a.ult subjects. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective, descriptive a.d a.a.ytica. study, ca.ried out a. CHU Point-G over a.period of 7 months. a.liver ultra.ound wa. performed on 100 individua.s without lesions, by a.doctor in his fina. yea. of specia.iza.ion in ra.iology a.d medica. ima.ing. For ea.h subject, we determined the height a.d a.teroposterior dia.eter of the right liver a.d the left liver. Results: The mea. a.e wa. 39.05 ± 16.86 yea.s. The body ma.s index (BMI) 18.5 - 24.9 group wa. the most represented with 58%. The mea. height of the right liver wa. 138.40 ± 14.85 mm. It wa. 136.81 ± 14.70 mm in men a.d 139.92 ± 14.99 mm in women (P = 0.306). Tha. of the left liver wa. 95.55 ± 14.34 mm, in men, it wa. 91.79 ± 13.51 mm a.d 99.16 ± 14.31 mm in women (P = 0.019). We found a.significa.t correla.ion between right liver height a.d BMI (P = 0.013). Conclusion: The mea. va.ues of liver biometry were esta.lished in our series. There wa. a.significa.t correla.ion between right liver height a.d BMI. Liver ultra.ound rema.ns a.relia.le technique for liver biometry.

Introduction: Bla.der tumors a.e common in our country;Ma.i is a.bilha.zia. endemic country. In our context, urina.y bilha.zia.is common, a.d bla.der tumors a.ouse pa.ticula. interest in the field of urologica. oncology, beca.se of their frequency, their dia.nosis, their difficulty in ma.a.ement a.d their histologica. pa.ticula.ity. The objective of our work wa. to study the epidemiologica., clinica. a.d thera.eutic a.pects of bla.der tumors. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This is a.cross-sectiona., descriptive study with a.retrospective a.d prospective collection tha. took pla.e over 3 yea.s from Ja.ua.y 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022. Results: We identified 316 ca.es of bla.der tumors during this period. Bla.der tumors a.e a.common pa.hology representing 35.95% of a.l hospita.ized pa.ients, a.d occupying the 1st ra.k of tumors in urology in the Urology Depa.tment of the Pr Boca. Sidy Sa.l University Hospita. in Ka.i. Bla.der tumors were more common in men with 56.33%. The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 50 yea.s ± 25.8 yea.s a.d the extreme a.es were 20 a.d 87 yea.s. Urina.y schistosomia.is, considered a.predisposing fa.tor, wa. found in 66.78% of ca.es in our pa.ients a. a.history. Tra.surethra. resection of the bla.der wa. performed in 100% of our pa.ients, nephrostomy in 1.90% of ca.es, ureterostomy in 1.58% of ca.es, Bricker type urina.y diversion in 1.27% of ca.es, a.d a.neobla.der in 0.32% of ca.es. Squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.is the domina.t histologica. type (88.29%). The postopera.ive outcome wa. 99% fa.ora.le a.ter resection. Conclusion: Bla.der tumors were ma.nly tumors infiltra.ing the bla.der muscle. The ma.n risk fa.tor wa. urina.y bilha.zia. Squa.ous cell ca.cinoma.is the most common histologica. type with a.dia.nostic dela., thus limiting ra.ica. trea.ment a.ter resection of the bla.der tumor.

Cervica. meningoceles a.e the lea.t common forms of spina.bifida. representing between 4% to 8% of a.l spina. dysra.hisms. They a.e not a.compa.ied by neurologica. deficit in childhood but a.ta.hed cord syndrome ca. occur with growth. Surgica. trea.ment, in a.dition to a.oiding rupture a.d correcting the a.sthetic da.a.e, will preserve neurologica. functions. We report 2 ca.es tha. we took ca.e of. They a.e a.5-month-old infa.t a.d a.3-yea.-old girl. The first presented a.7 cm rounded meningocele peduncula.ed through the C1 la.ina.defect. The second presented a. 8.6 cm polylobed meningocele peduncula.ed through the C2 la.ina.defect. They both underwent surgery with good progress.

Introduction: Ureteroscopy is a.minima.ly inva.ive endoscopic surgery which provides a.cess to the ureter, pyelon a.d ca.ycea. ca.ities via.the urethra.a.d the bla.der. La.er ureteroscopy uses the la.er a. a. energy source to trea. the stone a.d elimina.e it na.ura.ly. Minima.ly inva.ive endoscopic methods a.e struggling to become popula. in sub-Sa.a.a. a.rica. countries, especia.ly for the upper urina.y tra.t. The objective of our work wa. to report the results of our first la.er ureteroscopy experience in the depa.tment. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: This wa. a.prospective a.d descriptive study running from December 1, 2023 to Februa.y 19, 2024. Included in our study wa. a.y ca.e of upper urina.y tra.t stone opera.ed by La.er ureteroscopy. The cha.a.teristics of the lithia.is were determined by CT sca.. Steriliza.ion of urine wa. verified by ca.rying out a.cytoba.teriologica. exa.ina.ion of urine. Uretera. lithia.is wa. a.proa.hed by semi-rigid ureteroscopy. Rena. lithia.is wa. immedia.ely a.dressed by flexible ureteroscopy. Ureteroscopy wa. coupled with a.Holmium Ya. la.er. a.double J uretera. ca.heter wa. pla.ed a.ter the opera.ion. a.230 µm la.er fiber wa. used in ea.h ca.e with a.genera.or with a.power of 35 wa.ts (Storz Ca.cula.e III type). a. a.cess shea.h wa. used in a.l ca.es of flexible ureteroscopy. The pa.a.eters studied were: sociodemogra.hic cha.a.teristics, lithia.is (site, size, number, density, topogra.hy), type of a.esthesia. dura.ion of la.er use, dura.ion of intervention, postopera.ive outcomes. Da.a.entry a.d a.a.ysis were ca.ried out using the softwa.e (Word 2016 a.d SPSS). Result: We collected 30 ca.es of la.er ureteroscopy. The a.era.e a.e wa. 37 yea.s with extremes of 9 a.d 79 yea.s. The ma.e gender wa. more represented. The most common a.e group wa. 24-39 yea.s old. Rena. colic wa. the most frequent rea.on for a.mission, 12 pa.ients (40%). On physica. exa.ina.ion, lumba. tenderness wa. present in 47% (14 pa.ients). ECBU wa. positive in 4 pa.ients

Introduction: Ma.nutrition is a.ma.or public hea.th problem in Ma.i, despite the efforts of the government, its technica. a.d fina.cia. pa.tners. The a.m of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the integra.ed ma.a.ement progra. for a.ute ma.nutrition (IMPa.). Methodology: This wa. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study tha. took pla.e from Ja.ua.y to December 2020 in the Douentza.hea.th district. The study included a.yone with a. lea.t one ma.nourished child a.ed 6 to 59 months in their ca.e who a.reed to ta.e pa.t in the study, community hea.th center sta.f who ha. given their consent, a.d the URENI ma.a.er a. the Douentza.reference hea.th center. Da.a.collected via.questionna.res were entered into Excel a.d then a.a.yzed using Epi-Info version 7 softwa.e. Results: a.tota. of 138 a.utely ma.nourished children a.ed 6 - 59 months, including 71 girls (51.45%), 138 a.compa.ying mothers a.d 11 hea.th workers, were included in our ca.e study. a.ong the ma.nourished, 54.34% were in the 12 - 23 months a.e group a.d 69.57% ha. the severe form. 93% of the mothers interviewed were sa.isfied with the ca.e provided, a.d a.l the hea.th sta.f interviewed sta.ed tha. community conflicts ha. a. impa.t on IMPa.’s a.tivities. The efficiency of using na.ostructured silver in technologica. processes of ma.ing red wine ha. been studied with the purpose of substituting sulfur dioxide. For prepa.a.ion of resea.ch objects, we used dry wine ma.eria. of red gra.e va.iety ＂Sa.era.i＂. a.ter completion of ma.ola.tic fermenta.ion, the second ra.king the wine ma.eria. off the lees a.d its trea.ment with a.tiseptics were ca.ried out. Sulfur dioxide （Ka.ifit） a.d different doses of na.ostructured silver were used. Microbiologica. investiga.ion wa. performed on the presence of la.tic ba.teria.a.ter completion of ma.ola.tic fermenta.ion a.d ra.king off the lees. The investiga.ion of phenolic compounds wa. conducted a. the following sta.es of technologica. processes：（1） a.ter completion of a.coholic fermenta.ion a.d ra.king off the lees; （2） a.ter completion of ma.ola.tic fermenta.ion; （3） a.ter the second ra.king off the lees a.d trea.ment with a.tiseptics. By mea.s of the HPLC a.a.ysis, the a.ounts ofca.echins, phenolca.bonic a.ids a.d fla.onols were determined. It ha. been esta.lished tha. a.ter conduction of ma.ola.tic fermenta.ion in the process of ra.king the wine ma.eria. off the lees a.d stora.e, the a.plica.ion of 0.6 mg/L of na.o-silver for blocking of la.tic-a.id ba.teria.a.d inhibition of oxida.ion of phenolic compounds ha. the sa.e effect a. sulfitiza.ion with 50 mg/L of Ka.ifit.

Rumen fluid wa. used a. the inoculum in fa.rica.ed H-sha.ed double cha.ber fuel cells with gra.hite rods electrodes a. room tempera.ure. The volta.e a.d current genera.ed were monitored da.ly for 30 da.s using a.DT9205a.digita. multi-meter. The a.era.e moisture content for the fruits sa.ples ra.ged from 82.86% - 95.16% while the crude fa. wa. in the ra.ge of 0.12% - 0.33% with a.oca.o ha.ing fa. levels a. 9.03%. Ca.bohydra.es level wa. the highest in ba.a.a.a. 19.24% a.d the lowest in toma.o wa.te a. 2.93%. Toma.o wa.te produced the highest volta.e of 0.702 V on da. 20 while lower volta.e wa. noted in wa.ermelon fruit wa.tes a. 0.019 V. The volta.e a.d current increa.ed linea.ly with time for a.l the fruit wa.tes. These results indica.e tha. substra.e proxima.e properties influence the volta.e a.d current genera.ed in microbia. fuel cell. Cerebra. venous thrombosis (CVT) in sickle cell disea.e ha. been ra.ely described in the litera.ure. Some a.thors consider sickle cell disea.e a. a.risk fa.tor for CVT. We report the ca.e of a.20-yea.-old boy, known a. sickle cell, followed a. the Na.iona. Reference Center for Sickle Cell Disea.e in Niger. a.mitted in consulta.ion for a.decrea.e of a.uity with the right eye with perception of a.bla.k spot evolving since a.out three (3) da.s, ophtha.mologica. exa.ina.ion revea.ed sickle cell retinopa.hy a.socia.ed with cerebra. venous thrombosis on MRI. The rest of the ba.a.ce showed normochromic a.emia. ionic disturba.ce a.d a.D-dimer a. 1500 μg/l. Rehydra.ion, strict rest, a.tibiotic thera.y a.d a.a.gesics were sta.ted with a. interna. medicine opinion for further trea.ment. There wa. a. improvement in visua. a.uity of 6/10 in 48 hours with disa.pea.a.ce of bla.k spot perception, a.ter three weeks, a. a. integrum recovery of retina. lesions to control ima.ing. Despite the ocula. complica.ions of sickle cell disea.e involving visua. prognosis, cerebra. venous thrombosis is a.other complica.ion to be investiga.ed in a.y sickle cell retinopa.hy.

Introduction: Lumbar and sciatic pain are frequent motives of disability in military people in Mali. As spine surgery isn’t recognized enough, our study aims to analyze etiologies, epidemiology, clinical features and surgical standards in order to improve troop abilities. Methodology: Our descriptive and retrospective study has included 31 operated military patients who underwent medical or surgical procedures between 2010 and 2018 in the Military Neurology/Neurosurgery Unit and Mèrea.>-Enfant Hospital Neurosurgery department. Results: Among 553 seen in consultation, fifty percent were between 30 and 50 years old. Main motive was sciatic pain (65.5%). Seventy eight percent of our patients were field militaires and sub-officers, and 83.2% were males. All of them have benefited a CT scan or MRI with medical treatment in rheumatology or neurology. Thirty-one patients underwent spine surgery and were included in the study, so 6% (mean age: 43.52 years, 90.3% males). Lumbar spine surgery represented 54.8% of cases with lumbar canal stenosis in 64.5% of cases. It appeared that spondylolisthésis with isthmic fracture was frequent (12.9%), and traumatic cervical spine fractures were dominant in 2012. Instrumented arthrodesis was performed for 41.9% of patients, lumbar discectomy for 32.3% and laminectomies for 22.6%. Degenerative etiology was found in 77.4% of cases and we’ve noticed a good outcome in 93.5% of operated cases.
